About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive and detail-oriented Paralegal to join a fast-paced team specialising in landlord
and tenant and debt recovery matters. Working closely with the Conducting Solicitor, you will play a hands-on role in managing
cases from instruction through to enforcement, ensuring they progress efficiently and to a high standard.
You’ll be trusted to take ownership of your work, contribute to the team’s commercial success, and deliver a responsive,
client-focused service. This role offers excellent exposure to a varied caseload, making it ideal for someone looking to develop
their expertise while working within a collaborative and performance-driven environment.

About the Role This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive and commercially-minded Solicitor to join a fast paced team specialising in landlord and tenant and debt recovery matters. Managing your own caseload from instruction through to enforcement, you will ensure matters progress efficiently while maintaining a high standard of technical excellence. You’ll be trusted to take full ownership of your files, drive the team’s commercial success, and deliver a responsive, strategic service to our clients. This role offers the autonomy to manage a varied and complex caseload within a collaborative, performance-driven environment. Responsibilities CASE MANAGEMENT & LEGAL STRATEGY * Autonomously manage a diverse caseload of possession matters (standard and complex/defended) and debt recovery instructions from inception to enforcement. * Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing high-level strategic advice that balances legal risk with commercial objectives. * Draft complex pleadings, witness statements, and instructions to Counsel; represent clients at hearings where appropriate. * Supervise and mentor paralegals or junior fee-earners, ensuring the quality and accuracy of their output. * Ensure rigorous adherence to Civil Procedure Rules (CPR), court deadlines, and bespoke client Service Level Agreements (SLAs). COMMERCIAL PERFORMANCE & BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT * Consistently meet or exceed individual monthly billing and time-recording targets. * Take full accountability for the financial lifecycle of files, including proactive WIP management, disbursements, and debt recovery on unpaid invoices. * Identify and pursue business development opportunities to expand the firm’s landlord and tenant or debt recovery portfolio. * Contribute to the firm’s profitability by optimizing file-handling processes and ensuring cost-effective matter management. LEGISLATIVE LEADERSHIP & TECHNICAL EXPERTISE * Act as a Subject Matter Expert in Landlord and Tenant law, with a deep understanding of the Renters’ Rights Act and its practical implications for clients. * Lead internal knowledge-sharing sessions and provide technical guidance to the wider team on emerging legislative trends. * Ensure total compliance with SRA standards and internal risk management protocols. * Maintain a proactive approach to CPD, focusing on high-level technical mastery and strategic litigation tactics. We have an excellent opportunity for a Paralegal to join our Property Litigation team in Poundbury. This role will assist the fee earners by providing administrative support in a way that is conducive to enabling them to operate at optimum efficiency. In addition to wider real estate dispute work, the role will offer a significant amount of exposure to commercial landlord and tenant dispute work including both contentious and non-contentious lease renewals under the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954. The role will include the responsibility of assisting the team monitor and comply with critical court deadlines. Therefore, organisations skills and proactivity will be essential, although prior experience of the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954 is not essential as training will be provided. The successful applicant will undertake fee-earning work with special emphasis on drafting straightforward legal documents; assisting other members of the team; and engaging in business development initiatives to grow the work of the team.

It is well respected by clients and peers. The Housing and Property Disputes team based at our London Bridge office has a niche specialism acting for tenants, leaseholders and homeowners in building defect and property conditions claims against landlord and developers. Alongside this work, the solicitors also act for landlords, tenants and letting agents on residential landlord and tenant disputes and advising on the law relating to private sector tenancies and houses in multiple occupation. THE ROLE Please be aware that we are looking for the successful applicant to start in September 2026 We are seeking a Paralegal who will be responsible for supporting fee-earners in the housing and property disputes team based at our London Bridge office. The role would involve supporting Solicitors in a varied range of property disputes and housing related personal injury claims for tenants, leaseholders and homeowners against landlords and developers. The claims mainly relate to housing conditions and building defects. Alongside this work, the solicitors also act for landlords, tenants and letting agents on residential landlord and tenant disputes and advising on the law relating to private sector tenancies and houses in multiple occupation (HMOs). Your role will include the following, but additional tasks may be added as appropriate for the role: To assist in the provision of administrative and legal services for clients, including: * Working to support solicitors on property disputes litigation cases. * Interviewing clients, taking and drafting statements. * Casework & providing advice to clients. * Handling new client enquiries. * To assist where requested with the provision of legal advice to clients, under supervision. * Delegate and supervise tasks where appropriate. * Work as a part of a team under the supervision of a Partner or Senior Associate. * Provide an efficient and friendly service to our clients. * Manage professionally and confidentially, written and telephone correspondence with clients, other solicitors and third parties. * Maintain client care standards as set out in the firm’s terms of business and office manual. * Assist with marketing and business development, including writing blog articles and participating in the team’s other marketing activities when requested. * Continue to develop your legal ability.
