We are looking for a Network Maintenance Supervisor (GB) to ensure the network maintenance of the fibre network in Cumbria. The
successful candidate will have supervisory experience, along with a proven track record of fault finding and splicing on a fibre
network.

We are seeking a Wayleave Officer to join our team in Cumbria. Job Title: Wayleave Officer Location: Cumbria GB, Site based YOUR PROFILE Role Summary: As a Wayleave Officer, you will play a vital role in facilitating customer connections to the fibre infrastructure by securing wayleave permissions. You will work closely with the Wayleave Supervisor and Manager and collaborate with various internal teams to ensure the efficient achievement of wayleaves to enable installations. Your responsibilities will encompass conducting audits, negotiating agreements, and liaising with stakeholders to navigate the complexities of land ownership and consent processes. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES * Wayleave Acquisition * Collaborate with the Wayleave Manager to obtain permissions for the installation of telecommunications apparatus on both public and private sector properties to enable customer connections. * Conduct desktop audits of pre-build areas to identify private land and determine necessary wayleave requirements. * Utilize land searches to identify ownership of private properties and secure wayleaves, easements, and landlord consents. * Will be required to obtain wayleaves onsite from the landowner as well as remotely * Negotiation & Coordination * Negotiate wayleaves for Business Parks, Industrial Estates, and Council properties, ensuring favorable terms for the company. * Coordinate with Planning, Build, and Installations teams to update requirements and ensure all necessary planning consents, wayleaves, and listed building consents are obtained. * Liaise with public bodies, including the Department for Infrastructure, Local Councils, and Housing Associations, to facilitate effective network rollout. * Stakeholder Engagement * Schedule and attend meetings with landowners, Councils, management agents, and other stakeholders as necessary to discuss wayleave agreements and project updates. * Serve as the primary point of contact for landlords, management agents, and solicitors regarding permissions for installations in residential and business premises. * Provide timely updates to the Wayleave Manager on progress and any issues that arise during the acquisition process. * On-Site Responsibilities * Conduct on-site visits to obtain wayleaves, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed and signed. * Work closely with the Wayleave department to understand policies and processes, maintaining compliance with all regulations. KEY REQUIREMENTS * Experience & Knowledge * Minimum of 2 years of administrative experience, preferably in a telecommunications environment. * Previous experience as a Wayleave Officer (1+ year) is highly desirable, with a focus on negotiating wayleaves and managing land permissions. * Familiarity with the ‘Streetworks’ platform is a significant advantage for data retrieval and review. * Skills * Strong negotiation skills with the ability to effectively communicate with a variety of stakeholders, including landowners and local authorities. * Good organizational skills, capable of managing changing priorities within tight deadlines while ensuring quality output. * Excellent communication skills, comfortable interacting at all levels of the organization and with external partners. * Personal Attributes * A proactive and results-focused attitude with a commitment to delivering outcomes and going the extra mile. * A team player who is adaptable and responsive to changes in deadlines and processes. * Confidence in asserting oneself in a professional manner while maintaining strong interpersonal relationships. Troubleshoot and repair packaging equipment including PPI, PMI, Tex wrap, and Multivac systems. Troubleshoot and repair high-speed slicers. Troubleshoot printers, date coders, and variable frequency drives (VFDs). Calibrate scales and other process equipment. Inspect and repair lighting and electrical connections throughout the facility. Respond to breakdown calls and provide support to production departments. Maintain inventory of electrical parts and supplies. Document work orders, repairs, and parts usage in SAP. Participate in shift handoff meetings and communicate daily issues to incoming and outgoing technicians. Order parts and materials needed for projects and repairs. Ownership: Electrical safety and maintenance throughout the facility Lighting systems throughout the facility. Organization, cleanliness, and inventory of the electrical storage area. Support continuous improvement efforts and maintain a safe working environment. Qualification: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in electrical/automation engineering, or related field preferred. Certification in instrumentation and automation controls preferred. Minimum of two years of electrical and/or mechanical maintenance experience. Demonstrated problem-solving ability with Root Cause Analysis (RCA) experience. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Strong planning and prioritization skills. Safety-minded with attention to detail. Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical manuals. Ability to use electrical diagnostic equipment, digital multimeters, and calibration software. Ability to train and mentor team members.
