Given our specialized product nature, the primary mission is to optimize the balance between cost, time, and quality while ensuring impeccable relationship governance, absolute supply chain stability, and robust risk mitigation through the development of viable backup plans. The focus split is 60/40 in favor of Procurement over Engineering. The ideal candidate will be a sharp commercial negotiator capable of managing complex commodity indexing (e.g., precious metal prices affecting electronics) and multi-year capacity reservations with our most vital partners. Simultaneously, they will lead an experienced engineering team to secure our proprietary in-house programming infrastructure, protect co-developed IP, and navigate New Product Introductions (NPI) from a supply standpoint. The role reports to VP - Supply Chain Operations and is located at Yubico’s head office in Stockholm. TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Procurement, Strategic Sourcing and Relationship Governance (60% Focus) * Strategic Partner Governance: Manage and mature relationships with our core co-manufacturing partners, navigating complex commercial conversations and aligning supplier expectations with evolving business needs. * Commercial Governance and Process Ownership: Act as the internal owner of all hardware procurement processes. In close collaboration with Legal, lead the drafting, negotiation, and execution of Master Services Agreements (MSAs), Quality Assurance Agreements (QAAs), and commercial contracts to ensure Yubico's corporate interests and assets are fully protected. * Capacity and Contract Modeling: Secure complex, multi-year capacity reservations with our most critical vendors while hedging against volatile underlying commodity and electronic material prices. * Supply Chain Resiliency: Where applicable, transition the supply chain from single-source dependencies to a resilient, dual-sourced ecosystem with viable backup plans, without disrupting historical partner dynamics. * Packaging Portfolio Management: Oversee and manage our packaging supplier portfolio, addressing reliability issues and establishing rigorous performance standards to ensure consistent supply. * Team Mentorship: Coach and elevate the team to professionalize day-to-day purchasing, track spend transparency, and manage contract compliance. 2. Manufacturing, Automation and In-House Production (40% Focus) * In-House Programming Infrastructure: Support the development, scaling, and operational uptime of Yubico’s proprietary in-house production and programming/flashing stations. * Structured Engineering Leadership: Provide structured management to a highly experienced team of mechanical and automation engineers, channeling their expertise into well-documented processes. * IP Protection in Co-Development: Establish strict operational and legal boundaries for the automation lines, fixtures, and parts our engineering team co-designs with suppliers, ensuring Yubico’s proprietary innovations are contractually protected. * Quality Safeguards: Oversee the Supplier Quality domain to enforce strict cosmetic and technical standards, ensuring only the top tier of manufacturers operate in our ecosystem. 3. NPI and Cross-Functional Integration * Product Launch Readiness: Serve as the operational anchor for new product launches. Drive proactive, flawless communication ahead of launches to ensure all suppliers, sub-suppliers, and internal teams are aligned on NPI milestones. * One Supply Chain Umbrella: Partner intimately with Planning, Logistics, and Fulfillment to ensure procurement strategies, lead times, and capacity reservations map perfectly against rolling demand forecasts. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: * Experience: 10+ years of hardware/industrial supply chain experience, heavily weighted toward electronics procurement, supplier relationship management, and contract structural design. * The Versatile Career Background: Ideally exhibits a proven blend of experience—having cut their teeth within highly disciplined, mature industrial organizations to learn world-class operational structure, combined with clear success inside agile, fast-moving scale-ups that move at pace. * The "Hybrid" Skillset: A seasoned commercial leader who is entirely comfortable negotiating multi-million dollar capacity commitments, but possesses enough technical depth to lead automation and mechanical domains. * NPI Proven Track Record: Deep, hands-on experience guiding complex electronic products through difficult New Product Introduction (NPI) phases under tight deadlines. * Diplomatic Commercial Acumen: Proven ability to handle difficult, high-stakes supplier conversations with diplomacy, protecting the relationship while securing Yubico’s operational and financial interests. * Operational Rigor: A builder who can walk into an ecosystem running on low-documentation and implement clean, scalable processes, acting as a trusted, professional partner to our innovative design and engineering teams #LI-IR1 We are an equal opportunity employer, we value diversity and uphold an inclusive environment where all people feel that they are equally respected and valued. We Are Sparta Sparta is the next-generation commodity trading platform. We give trading desks the clarity, control, and collaboration they need to move faster and trade smarter. In February 2025, we secured $42 million in Series B funding. Now we’re scaling up across the business, and it’s an exciting time to join. Our people are the driving force behind everything we do. At Sparta, you’ll be trusted to take ownership, backed by a team who wants you to succeed. You’ll be challenged, supported, and given room to grow. Because building something this ambitious takes everyone at their best. At Sparta, your work has reach. From improving our platform, to powering smarter decisions for our customers, to changing how commodity trading is done around the world. And because we’re growing fast, you won’t just build your career. You’ll accelerate it, with a level of ownership and impact you simply don’t get at bigger, more bureaucratic companies. THE ROLE Sparta has the raw material most companies never get: a well-defined ICP with an engaged audience of traders, a genuine PR and analyst engine, product usage telemetry, and a stack rich with intent data. What we don't have yet is all of it connected into one demand engine that turns every signal into pipeline and revenue. That's your remit. You'll build and run Sparta's demand engine end to end, from the first buying signal to closed revenue, on a single unified pipeline in HubSpot. This is a hands-on, high-ownership role: you'll design the architecture and set the strategy from day one, then build and lead the team around it as it proves out. This role reports to the Chief Marketing Officer and can be based in either London or Geneva. WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING * Scale the demand-creation engine that's already working (analyst commentary, PR, webinars, the Market Outlook) and build a website and programs that turn our community into signal. * Build the process to catch in-market demand the moment it appears, running paid, retargeting, SEO/AEO and lifecycle programmes. * Own the signal-based pipeline architecture, unifying first-, second- and third-party signals into one HubSpot record. * Fix and own the martech stack (HubSpot, Clay, ZoomInfo, Lemlist, event tooling) and cut what overlaps. * Replace vanity metrics with honest reporting: real conversion rates, real source of pipeline, numbers the business can actually plan against. * Build the marketing-to-sales handover that works: shared lead definitions, SLAs, and an account-based motion inside our existing accounts. ABOUT YOU * A track record building and running a demand engine in B2B SaaS: you've owned pipeline and revenue, not just leads and MQLs. * Hands-on experience with HubSpot, intent platforms and preferably also Clay: workflows, lead scoring, lifecycle stages, attribution and reporting. You can build automation, not just brief it. * Strong collaborator with Rev Ops, as we build one clean, signal-based pipeline. * Fluency with intent and signal-based marketing, and the discipline to make signals drive action. * Comfortable being the person who says the real number out loud, even when it's not the one on the dashboard. * The judgement to set strategy with the CMO, prioritise ruthlessly, and hire and grow a team as the function scales. Nice to have: experience with account-based marketing for expansion inside existing accounts; a background in commodities, trading, fintech or data/analytics products; content-led or community “dark social” demand-creation experience. Sparta Commodities is proud to be an equal opportunity employer and promotes diversity within its workforce. We are determined that no-one will ever receive less favourable treatment on the grounds of gender, age, disability, religion, belief, sexual orientation, marital status, race, veteran status or any basis covered by appropriate law.
