At Snowflake, your role isn't just to execute a function, but to help redefine the future of how work gets done. For every enterprise ready to harness the power of the AI Data Cloud, there lies a complex web of legacy systems that can take years and millions of dollars to untangle. The Migrations team is tasked with a mission of strategic importance: to turn this multi-year roadblock into a streamlined, intelligent, and automated experience. We believe Generative AI is the key. We are building products that don't just move data, but understand and rewrite the logic of entire data applications. We're seeking a structured, technically grounded Senior Product Manager to own several key features and capabilities within this charter. You will bring product insight and clear execution to our GenAI-powered engine, ensuring your projects directly align with Snowflake's higher-level growth goals. AS A SENIOR PRODUCT MANAGER, YOU WILL : * Own Feature Direction & Alignment: Provide clarity, conviction, and insight for your owned features. Ensure your roadmap and projects directly align with the broader company strategy and migration goals. * Balance Technical Constraints: Deeply understand customer migration needs (such as data types, ETL pipelines, and post-migration validation). Weave technical constraints into product decisions, carefully balancing engineering effort, customer value, and feasibility. * Execute with Transparency: Help your engineering team prioritize effectively, explaining the clear rationale behind technical trade-offs. Keep cross-functional stakeholders updated on status with precise, succinct communication—ensuring there are "no surprises." * Drive with an MVP Mindset: Partner with engineering to foster a high-velocity culture focused on speed and unblocking customer pipelines. Define and ship MVPs to select customers to quickly validate core hypotheses and iterate based on real-world feedback. * Understand GTM & Enablement: Learn how your migration features are taken to market. Understand the required collateral, enablement pathways, and partner ecosystems (Professional Services and GSIs) to ensure your features are successfully adopted. * Analyze Metrics & Insights: Track usage and health metrics for your features. Conduct regular data analysis to deliver insights and make data-driven decisions that push our north star metric forward: reducing overall customer migration time. * Contribute to the Team Culture: Act as a mentor to other employees, step up to help solve team-wide issues (such as quality or process optimization), and participate as a key interviewer to help scale the PM organization. OUR IDEAL SENIOR PRODUCT MANAGER WILL HAVE : * 6+ years of enterprise product management experience, with a proven track record of independently running features through the full product lifecycle. * Solid technical foundation: Strong familiarity with data ecosystems (databases, SQL platforms, data engineering, and ETL workloads) and the ability to factor technical limitations into feature design. * Developer/Partner focus: Experience building or working with developer tools, APIs, or data platforms where user ergonomics and clarity are critical. * GenAI / LLM familiarity: Practical exposure to or strong understanding of delivering AI-powered features (e.g., code translation, developer co-pilots, semantic validation, or working with frameworks like LangChain). * Strong collaboration skills: Ability to build relationships across functions (Engineering, Professional Services, Partners) and leverage direct and indirect influence without shutting others out. Joining the Migrations product team at Snowflake offers an exceptional opportunity to be at the forefront of data and application modernization, directly impacting customer success by enabling the strategic leveraging of the Snowflake AI Data Cloud. You'll tackle complex, high-value challenges, building essential products and APIs that simplify intricate data ecosystem migrations—from ETL pipelines to applications—for our customers and partners. At Snowflake, your role isn't just to execute a function, but to help redefine the future of how work gets done. Snowflake is about empowering enterprises to achieve their full potential, and people too. With a culture that's all in on impact, innovation, and collaboration, Snowflake is the sweet spot for building big, moving fast, and taking technology and careers to the next level. We are hiring a Principal Product Manager for our Extensible Compute team. This team owns the serverless and extensible compute foundation that powers Snowflake's most important first-party workloads, from apps and notebooks to AI agents and developer sandboxes. This is a rare chance to own a company-defining platform surface that spans deep infrastructure, partner engagement, portfolio prioritization, and long-range product strategy, where a single well-made platform decision can improve many Snowflake products at once. AS A PRINCIPAL PRODUCT MANAGER AT SNOWFLAKE, YOU WILL: * Define and own the product vision and multi-year roadmap for Snowflake's extensible and serverless compute platform, making it the scalable, reliable, and cost-efficient foundation for internal workloads. * Translate the needs of internal product partners into durable, reusable platform abstractions, converting bespoke workload requests into standardized capabilities instead of one-off solutions. * Drive ambiguous 0 to 1 and 1 to scale platform initiatives end to end across engineering, product, and go-to-market teams. * Partner credibly with senior engineers on architecture, performance, reliability, and cost trade-offs while owning the business outcomes and roadmap. * Improve startup time, isolation, and unit economics so the platform can support AI-native workloads with true serverless characteristics. * Prioritize across a broad portfolio and influence cross-portfolio trade-offs that shape next-generation compute architecture. * Establish a high-performance, standardized compute layer that increases platform leverage and prevents fragmentation as adoption scales. OUR IDEAL PRINCIPAL PRODUCT MANAGER WILL HAVE: * 10+ years of product management experience, including a strong track record with platform, infrastructure, or developer-facing products, or equivalent experience. * Deep experience in one or more of cloud infrastructure, developer platforms, serverless or container runtimes, or distributed systems. * A demonstrated history of driving 0 to 1 or 1 to scale platform initiatives across engineering, product, and GTM teams. * The ability to engage senior engineers credibly on architecture, performance, reliability, and cost trade-offs while owning roadmap and business outcomes. * Comfort operating at the boundary of product, architecture, and business strategy. * Strong communication and influence skills with senior product and engineering leaders. * A Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent experience. BONUS POINTS FOR THE FOLLOWING: * Experience with serverless compute or container platforms. * Experience building developer runtimes or technical platform products. * Experience supporting AI infrastructure or AI-native workloads. * Familiarity with optimizing unit economics for large-scale compute platforms. WHY JOIN OUR EXTENSIBLE COMPUTE TEAM AT SNOWFLAKE? This role sits at the center of a major company priority: providing the foundational compute layer that powers Snowflake's internal AI and application products while preserving Snowflake's standards for governance, security, and enterprise readiness. The work is highly leveraged, spanning product strategy, platform architecture, partner synthesis, and business health, where one strong platform decision can improve multiple products simultaneously. The problem space is current and differentiated: AI agents, developer platforms, and serverless compute are all converging here. You will shape next-generation compute architecture, influence cross-portfolio trade-offs, and work closely with senior product and engineering leaders on some of Snowflake's most important future workloads, with meaningful visibility into roadmap, reliability, and strategic priorities across multiple product lines.
