Gemkom Engineering and Machinery Filial is a newly established branch of the Turkish company Gemkom. We are participating in a project where Stegra AB establishes a steel mill in Norra Svartbyn in Boden where steel will be produced through an almost fossil-free process using hydrogen gas. We are seeking diligent Maintenance Technicians to join our team for the preservation and protection of mechanical equipment at a DRI plant. This role focuses on ensuring that machinery, currently stored or installed in open-air environments without HVAC systems, remains in optimal condition through rigorous preservation protocols. The work tasks may include but are not limited to: Job Description Environmental Protection: Implement measures to protect exposed machinery and equipment from adverse weather conditions and humidity. Corrosion Control: Apply VCI (Volatile Corrosion Inhibitor) treatments and other surface protection methods to machined parts and sensitive surfaces. Som doktorand kommer du att vara en del av en forskargrupp som arbetar med reaktorfysik, bränslecykelanalys och beräkningsmetoder för härd- och bränsleoptimering. Gruppen kombinerar fysikbaserade beräkningsmodeller med moderna optimerings- och dataanalysmetoder. Arbetsmiljön är internationell och tvärvetenskaplig, med nära koppling mellan grundläggande metodutveckling och tekniskt relevanta tillämpningar. Projektet är en fortsättning på ett pågående doktorandprojekt om härd- och bränsleoptimering för små modulära reaktorer, SMR, inom kompetenscentrumet ANItA (Academic-industrial Nuclear technology Initiative to Achieve a sustainable energy future). Kompetenscentrumet samlar akademi och industri för att stärka svensk kärnteknisk kompetens och bidra till en hållbar energiomställning. Det tidigare doktorandprojektet har utvecklat metoder för optimering av jämviktscykler, där målet är att hitta återkommande bränslehanteringsstrategier som ger god bränsleekonomi samtidigt som reaktorfysikaliska säkerhetsmarginaler uppfylls. Särskilt fokus har legat på att kombinera avancerade optimeringsalgoritmer med maskininlärningsbaserade surrogatmodeller, inklusive grafbaserade representationer av härdladdningsmönster. Du kommer att vidareutveckla denna forskningsinriktning. Projektet kan till exempel omfatta cykel-till-cykel-optimering, utveckling av nya maskininlärningsmodeller, förbättrade optimeringsstrategier, osäkerhetskvantifiering, effektivare hantering av fysikaliska begränsningar samt utökad analys av bränsledesign, laddningsmönster och säkerhetsrelaterade storheter. Målet är att ta fram metoder som gör det möjligt att snabbare och mer tillförlitligt utforska stora designrum inom härd- och bränsleoptimering. Arbetsuppgifter Arbetsuppgifterna består huvudsakligen av forskarutbildning, där du bedriver forskning inom projektet och följer kurser inom forskarutbildningen. Arbetet innefattar utveckling, implementering och utvärdering av beräkningsmetoder för härd- och bränsleoptimering med hjälp av maskininlärning och optimeringsalgoritmer. I arbetsuppgifterna ingår att: utveckla och tillämpa maskininlärningsbaserade surrogatmodeller för reaktorfysikaliska beräkningar, utveckla och utvärdera optimeringsmetoder för bränsleladdningsmönster och bränslesammansättning, analysera säkerhetsrelaterade parametrar såsom reaktivitet, effektfördelningar, bränsleutnyttjande och marginaler till tekniska begränsningar, arbeta med stora datamängder från reaktorfysikaliska simuleringar, implementera och dokumentera beräkningsverktyg, exempelvis i Python, sammanställa och publicera forskningsresultat i vetenskapliga artiklar, presentera resultat vid nationella och internationella konferenser, delta i forskargruppens seminarier, projektmöten och övriga vetenskapliga aktiviteter. Undervisning och annan institutionstjänstgöring kan komma att ingå med högst 20 procent av heltid.
