The Cost Controller Manager is responsible for establishing, managing, and overseeing all project cost control activities to ensure effective financial planning, monitoring, forecasting, and reporting throughout the project lifecycle. The role ensures that project costs are controlled in line with approved budgets, schedules, and contractual requirements, while providing accurate and timely financial insight to support informed decision-making. Collaborate with project teams to mitigate financial risks and optimize cost outcomes. Ensure approved changes are reflected accurately in budgets and forecasts. Contract & Procurement Support Support procurement and contract management with cost analysis, payment verification, and financial evaluations. Review contractor invoices, progress claims, and cost reports to ensure accuracy and contractual compliance. Track commitments, accruals, and cash flow forecasts. Collaboration & Governance Work closely with Project Managers, Planners, Engineers, and Construction teams to ensure cost control is fully integrated into project execution. Provide guidance and training on cost control practices and tools. Ensure audit readiness through proper documentation, traceability, and cost records. Continuous Improvement Identify opportunities to improve cost control processes, tools, and reporting methodologies. Capture and apply lessons learned to enhance future project cost performance. Promote best practices in cost management across the organization. Competencies and Experience Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Economics, or a related field. Minimum of 7 years of experience in project cost control, preferably within industrial, infrastructure, or EPC projects. Strong knowledge of project cost management, forecasting, and financial reporting. Experience working with project controls systems and cost management tools. Solid understanding of contracts, change management, and project financial governance. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities. High level of accuracy, integrity, and attention to detail.

Neutron scattering at ESS will address critical questions in physics, chemistry, geology, materials science and life science.  We are now looking for a Project Controls Manager to oversee the operational and development project scope at ESS.     About the role:  The Project Controls Manager (PCM) plays a critical role in ensuring the best use of the human and financial resources for the ESS organisation. They are responsible for establishing and maintaining the systems, processes, and governance needed to plan, monitor, and control organisational performance and the ESS programme. The role provides leadership across planning and scheduling, cost control, risk management, change control, and reporting to support informed decision-making and successful delivery. Head of Cost Management Green Industry Transformation The green industrial transition is driving a historic transformation of society and industry, creating significant economic, technological and environmental value. As one of NCC's business areas, Green Industry Transformation focuses on delivering large, complex and strategically important industrial and infrastructure projects that enable the green transition across the Nordics. To support our continued growth and strengthen project delivery across an expanding portfolio, we are strengthening the Operational Development team within the Business Area. Dina arbetsuppgifter 🧭 I rollen ansvarar du för att ta fram och driva inköpsstrategier för större projekt, med fokus på tidplan, budget, kvalitet och risk. Du leder hela inköpsprocessen i projektet – från behovsanalys och leverantörsval till förhandling, kontraktshantering och uppföljning av leverantörsprestation. En central del av rollen är att driva komplexa, högvärdiga förhandlingar på global nivå samt att säkerställa rätt kommersiella villkor och riskfördelning. Du arbetar proaktivt med leverantörs- och riskhantering samt fungerar som nav mellan inköp och projektets intressenter, exempelvis teknik, juridik, ekonomi och projektledning. Rollen innefattar även rapportering och analys av kostnader, status och leverantörsdata till projektledning och beslutsfattare. Din profil / Obligatoriska kompetenser ✅ 3–7 års erfarenhet av strategiskt inköp i projektmiljö Dokumenterad erfarenhet av att driva inköpsarbete i större, komplexa projekt Mycket god förmåga att leda och genomföra avancerade förhandlingar Stark analytisk och finansiell förståelse, inklusive budget- och kostnadsuppföljning Mycket god kommunikationsförmåga och vana att samarbeta med flera intressenter Akademisk examen inom exempelvis inköp, ekonomi, teknik, projektledning eller motsvarande Meriterande färdigheter ⭐ Erfarenhet av inköp av komplexa system, exempelvis IT-lösningar, tekniska system eller större maskin- och anläggningsprojekt Erfarenhet från teknik- eller industrinära verksamhet Projektledningscertifiering, exempelvis PMP eller motsvarande Vana av att hantera flera parallella projekt samtidigt Personliga egenskaper 🤝 Du är strukturerad, affärsorienterad och trygg i att fatta beslut i komplexa situationer.
