Harmattan AI is a next-generation defense prime building autonomous and scalable defense systems. Following the close of a $200M
Series B, valuing the company at $1.4 billion, we are expanding our teams and capabilities to deliver mission-critical systems to
allied forces.
Our work is guided by clear values: building technologies with real-world impact, pursuing excellence in everything we do, setting
ambitious goals, and taking on the hardest technical challenges. We operate in a demanding environment where rigor, ownership, and
execution are expected.
The Logistics Officer owns the daily inbound and outbound logistics function across Harmattan AI’s two French sites — the Wissous
production facility and the Paris engineering office. Reporting to the Logistics & Warehouse Lead, the role operates with
significant autonomy: independently managing freight flows, customs compliance, dangerous goods, and international trade
requirements without requiring hand-holding on routine decisions.
This is not a pure execution role. The Logistics Officer brings senior operational experience and the judgement to run the
function independently day-to-day — escalating where needed, but owning the full logistics picture between escalations. The right
candidate has seen enough complexity — military goods, DG shipments, ITAR — to handle it confidently and knows when something
requires attention from the Lead.

ABOUT US Harmattan AI is a next-generation defense prime building autonomous and scalable defense systems. Following the close of a $200M Series B, valuing the company at $1.4 billion, we are expanding our teams and capabilities to deliver mission-critical systems to allied forces. Our work is guided by clear values: building technologies with real-world impact, pursuing excellence in everything we do, setting ambitious goals, and taking on the hardest technical challenges. We operate in a demanding environment where rigor, ownership, and execution are expected. RESPONSIBILITIES HR Operations & Personnel Administration * Manage individual employee situations end-to-end: disciplinary procedures, conflict resolution, and sensitive cases in compliance with French Labour Code. * Handle personnel administration: contracts, amendments, employee files, employment certificates, and all HR documentation for on-site employees. * Prepare variable payroll inputs (absences, overtime, bonuses, new hires, leavers) and liaise with the payroll provider; cross-check payslips before each payroll close. * Track and manage absences and leave requests via HiBob; validate hours in Skello prior to payroll. * Ensure compliance with applicable collective agreement (Métallurgie) and all legal HR obligations as headcount scales. * Maintain accurate employee records in the HRIS and ensure proper archiving of all HR documents. Onboarding/Offboarding Support * Design and deploy a scalable onboarding process adapted to the plant environment; ensure each new joiner has a structured, warm, and efficient integration from day one. * Manage the interface with agencies for the temporary workforce (contracts, scheduling, absence replacements). * Handle offboarding with clarity and proper handover of information. Manager & Employee Partnership * Act as the single HR point of contact for the site: be a visible, accessible, and trusted presence on the shop floor every day. * Support the Site Director and line managers with concrete, operational HR answers — close to production, close to the teams. * Coach managers on HR tool usage (HiBob, Skello) and best practices. * Contribute to a healthy working environment by addressing employee concerns promptly and pragmatically. HR Processes & Reporting * Build and improve on-site HR processes; document them and make them replicable for future sites. * Contribute to HR dashboards and reporting (headcount, absenteeism, turnover, training indicators). * Coordinate training plans: register employees, manage logistics, track budget and completion. Health & Safety * Participate in risk assessment (DUERP) and workplace prevention actions along with the HSE Manager. * Track workplace accidents and near-misses; ensure proper reporting and corrective actions. Office Management * Support office management structuration and execution during the rampup: PPE, consumables. CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS * 5+ years of proven experience in an HR Generalist or HRBP role, with at least 2 years on an industrial or manufacturing site. * Demonstrated ability to operate as the sole HR on a site — autonomous, structured, and reliable. * Solid working knowledge of French Labour Code; experience with Metal industry collective agreement is a plus. * Hands-on experience with disciplinary procedures, absence management, and first-level payroll. * Proficiency with an HRIS (HiBob a plus) and a scheduling tool (Skello or equivalent). * Strong prioritisation skills: able to manage high volume and competing demands in a fast-paced environment. * Pragmatic business partner mindset: works with the business to find solutions, not obstacles. * Excellent interpersonal skills; comfortable and credible with non-managerial, shop floor profiles. * Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion. * Full professional fluency in both French and English (written and verbal).
