About the Role You'll join a development team of nearly 30 engineers covering software, hardware, firmware, mechanical engineering, automation, and testing. What you'll do: You will develop algorithms, FPGA firmware, and data acquisition systems for CMS online luminosity measurement, beam monitoring, and Tracker calibration for the High Luminosity LHC, and coordinate such developments. This involves Integrating and commissioning back-end systems for luminosity and tracking detectors, enabling real-time data processing and precision luminosity measurements. Your responsibilities: - Develop, deploy, and maintain firmware and real-time algorithms for back-end electronics across multiple CMS board platforms, including systems for the Fast Beam Conditions Monitor (FBCM), Inner and Outer Tracker online luminosity, to support luminosity measurement, beam monitoring, and lumi-trigger generation. - Validate front-end detectors (including FBCM and Tracker modules) and back-end electronics through laboratory testing, ensuring end-to-end system performance from detector to data output. - Execute detector functional tests during detector integration at the Tracker Integration Facility, ensuring system readiness prior to installation. - Organise and lead test campaigns, including preparatory activities, on-site coordination of participants, and systematic validation of hardware, firmware, software and detector response. - Lead studies of detector efficiency, calibration quality, and operational stability, through measurements and simulations. - Coordinate technical interfaces across detector, trigger, timing, and data acquisition domains to ensure system integration. - Supervise and mentor students and fellows, including recruitment and structured technical guidance. - Anticipate upcoming technical and operational needs, structuring workflows, preparing infrastructure, and engaging with collaborating institutes to ensure continuity of operations. This is a founding role to stand up Legora's ESG function and own it end to end. You will build Legora's ESG programme from scratch: the reporting that satisfies CSRD, the carbon accounting and offset programme, and the credibility to represent Legora directly to clients and prospects on sustainability. You will join a growing and collaborative engineering team dedicated to developing advanced test solutions that support the full product lifecycle – from early prototypes to high-volume manufacturing. As a MEMS Test Engineer, you will play a key role in developing, optimizing, and executing test systems – both hardware and software – for a broad range of MEMS products, ensuring performance meets customer specifications and industry standards. You will collaborate cross-functionally within Silex and communicate with both suppliers and customers. In this role you will: Design and implement test solutions based on MEMS device specifications, covering electrical, optical, and mechanical performance. Develop and validate test cases and procedures for both manual and automated wafer-level and die-level test systems. Select, configure, and maintain specialized test instrumentation, including probe stations, precision source-measure units (SMUs), oscilloscopes, and custom MEMS test fixtures. Perform hands-on testing in both cleanroom and laboratory environments, ensuring proper handling of sensitive MEMS devices and adherence to ESD and contamination-control procedures. Analyze and interpret test data to evaluate device performance, identify trends, and diagnose issues at both the device and system level. Collaborate closely with design, process, and product engineers to troubleshoot, optimize test coverage, and improve product yield and reliability. Thoroughly document all test plans, configurations, and results to ensure full traceability and enable continuous improvement in test methods and equipment. Drive improvements in throughput, automation, and measurement accuracy across the MEMS test process flow. Ensure all activities comply with quality standards, customer requirements, and relevant industry regulations. We are looking for someone who has A Masters degree or Ph.D. in Engineering, preferably in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics, or a related field. At least 3 years of experience in electrical measurements, device characterization, or production tests – ideally including MEMS or semiconductor tests within an industrial environment or academia. Experience in LabVIEW programming for test automation, instrument control, and data acquisition. Proficiency in Python and familiarity with SQL databases for data analysis, visualization and structured data management. Hands-on experience with a wide range of test equipment, such as source-measure units (SMUs), parametric analyzers, probe stations, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and other specialized tools used in MEMS testing. Experience in cleanroom or controlled laboratory environments. Strong analytical mindset and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex device- and system-level issues. Basic knowledge or experience in 3D CAD modeling and prototype manufacturing methods (e.g., 3D printing, CNC machining) for test fixture design and development. Job Scope High level purpose of function. This roles scope is supporting quality assurance, product development, and continuous improvement by managing and developing metrology systems aligned with industry standards. Key Responsibilities Overall areas of responsibilities and activities. Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to) Develop, implement, and maintain metrology systems and measurement techniques used in battery manufacturing. Create calibration schedules and procedures to ensure equipment accuracy and compliance with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ISO/IEC 17025, or other industry standards. Collaborate with R&D, Quality, Facility, and Manufacturing teams to define critical-to-quality (CTQ) features and tolerances. Support Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), validation activities, and Measurement System Analysis (MSA) studies by providing accurate reports and capability studies. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety practices, efficiency, and reduce waste. Qualifications and Experience 3+ years of experience in a metrology or quality engineering role, preferably in the battery, automotive, or electronics industry. Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification is preferred. Specific skills & Knowledge Proficiency in metrology software such as Fluke MET/CAL, Beamex, Druck 4Sight2, or similar. Strong understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), measurement system analysis (MSA), and statistical process control (SPC). Familiarity with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and ISO/IEC 17025 requirements. Knowledge of high-precision inspection in cleanroom or dry room environments. Excellent English skills, both written and oral, are essential. Basic Swedish and other language skills are a plus. Job description and responsibilities We are expanding our Semiconductor Devices department and looking for a Cleanroom Process Technician to take ownership of the well-defined microfabrication process steps that bring our transistors to life. As our process technician, you will master these steps and run them consistently and with care, making you a central part of how our devices are actually made. You will spend much of your time in a modern cleanroom, operating advanced fabrication equipment according to established recipes, conducting routine measurements and inspections on wafers, and clearly documenting your findings for the engineering team. The role is practical and detail-oriented, offering opportunities to expand your skills across various tools and processes over time. Tasks may include, but are not limited to: • Cleanroom fabrication steps such as photolithography, wet and dry etching, thin film deposition, metal lift-off, and wafer dicing. • On-wafer device measurements, optical and SEM inspection, and film thickness and recess metrology. • Sample preparation, reliability-test execution, and clear data logging and documentation. • First-line troubleshooting and supporting the engineers on new processes. Requirements and qualifications A relevant B.Sc. – a merit but not required. Proficient in written and spoken English.
