Why Valtech? We’re the experience innovation company - a trusted partner to the world’s most recognized brands. To our people we
offer growth opportunities, a values-driven culture, international careers and the chance to shape the future of experience.
The opportunity
At Valtech, you’ll find an environment designed for continuous learning, meaningful impact, and professional growth. Whether
you're pioneering new digital solutions, challenging conventional thinking or building the next generation of customer
experiences, your work will help transform industries.
The role
You'll work alongside multidisciplinary teams of strategists, architects, engineers, analysts, designers and consultants, helping
enterprise organisations unlock value through data, AI and modern digital platforms.
Our capability is end-to-end; from strategy, discovery and advisory through to architecture, delivery and optimisation. We help
clients balance business ambition with technical feasibility, ensuring transformation delivers measurable outcomes, not just great
ideas.
Working across sectors including financial services, retail, automotive, media, healthcare, public sector and consumer brands,
you'll encounter a diverse range of challenges, levels of maturity and transformation priorities. Success in this role requires
the ability to adapt your approach to different client environments while maintaining a relentless focus on value and impact.
As a Data Director, you'll help organisations define future-state data ecosystems, modernise cloud and data platforms, unlock AI
opportunities and build scalable capabilities that drive long-term growth.
You're a consulting leader who thrives in complex enterprise environments, helping organisations turn data, AI and technology into
measurable business outcomes. You're equally comfortable facilitating C-suite conversations, shaping transformation roadmaps and
guiding clients through large-scale change.
You combine strategic thinking with hands-on technical credibility. Whether defining a data strategy, designing an operating
model, modernising a cloud platform or exploring GenAI opportunities, you stay close to delivery and work alongside architects,
engineers and product teams to turn vision into reality.
You excel in ambiguity, bringing structure to complex challenges and aligning stakeholders around a clear path forward. You
connect business objectives, customer needs, operations, technology and data to design solutions that scale across organisations,
not just individual systems.
You'll build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders, identify growth opportunities and contribute to new business
development, while mentoring and developing consultants, architects and engineers across the wider practice.
Most importantly, you're pragmatic. You focus on outcomes over theory, balancing strategic ambition with practical delivery to
create lasting impact for clients.
Must have qualifications
If you do not meet all the listed qualifications or have gaps in your experience, we still encourage you to apply. At Valtech, we

This is a senior builder's role: someone who prototypes and ships at the frontier, sets the technical and creative bar for WPP Innovation, and uses that credibility to shape strategy, elevate other innovators across the network, and bring clients and colleagues into genuinely new territory. You'll operate with significant autonomy, own the direction of key innovation products and R&D programmes, and act as a senior voice for WPP Innovation both internally and externally. External Presence & Client Engagement: * Represent WPP Innovation at key industry conferences, client engagements, and senior internal forums — with credibility rooted in work you've actually built. * Present innovation work, run live demos, and participate in client workshops to shape requirements and demonstrate WPP's frontier capabilities. * Contribute to internal L&D sessions to build innovation capability and foster understanding of WPP Innovation's products and thinking. Leadership: * Lead by example and expertise. A senior IC who sets standards others build toward and inspires others to better outputs. * Mentor and technically guide colleagues and innovators across the network. What you’ll need: * Progressive experience in creative technology, ideally within an agency environment. * Proven track record of successfully conceiving, building, and launching innovative technology solutions for agency clients and agency teams, with a data and AI component. * Deep understanding of the advertising, marketing, creative or media industry is highly desirable. Experience working within a large, global organisation is a significant plus. * Deep hands-on technical expertise: Able to architect, build, and ship across AI/ML systems, agentic engineering, data pipelines, and modern software development across multiple platforms * Exceptional strategic thinking and problem-solving skills: Ability to break down complex problems, develop clear strategies, and drive execution. * Experience with Agentic Engineering and building AI product and innovations * Demonstrable portfolio of built work: prototypes, products, or tools that have shipped into real use and measurable traction. What We Offer: * A senior IC role with genuine cross-functional influence across product, engineering, creative, data, and client disciplines. * Direct visibility into WPP's global strategy and the relationships that come with it. * The autonomy to pursue the ideas you believe in, backed by the scale to make them matter. * Collaboration with world-class talent across creative, technology, and data disciplines.
