Pixaera is hiring a senior Data Engineer to own and evolve our core data platform — from warehouse design to production pipelines
— powering analytics, product intelligence, and personalized learning experiences.
You’ll build and operate scalable data systems across a modern stack (Snowflake, DBT, AWS), while partnering closely with backend
engineers to ensure data is clean, reliable, and exposed correctly at the source — not patched up along the way. A key focus will
be refactoring and strengthening critical data flows to reduce technical debt and improve system integrity.
This role is ideal for a senior engineer who combines strong Python/SQL fundamentals with product thinking, and enjoys building
robust systems in fast-moving, startup environments.

YOUR PROFILE Join our Sales team as a Senior Pre-Sales Engineer who can bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions. You’ll sit at the heart of our commercial process, helping enterprise customers understand the value of our platform and guiding them toward confident buying decisions. ABOUT THE ROLE Cenosco’s core product is a SaaS platform used for Scoping, Planning & Documentation by Integrity, Reliability, and Safety engineers in asset-heavy industries such as Oil & Gas and Chemicals. We work with large enterprise customers with complex challenges and high expectations. As a Senior Pre-Sales Engineer, you are a strategic partner to Sales. You combine strong technical understanding with commercial awareness to shape solutions, influence buying decisions, and demonstrate business value. You act as the link between customers, Sales, Product, and Engineering ensuring what we sell is both compelling and achievable. Beyond new business, you will also support expansion and retention by helping customers unlock more value from the platform and addressing evolving use cases. This role is based in Europe. We are ideally looking for someone who can collaborate with one of our offices in the Netherlands or Croatia. WHAT YOU'LL DO * Partner closely with Account Executives to progress and win complex enterprise deals * Lead technical discovery conversations to uncover customer needs, challenges, and priorities * Translate customer requirements into high-impact use cases using Cenosco IMS * Deliver compelling product demonstrations tailored to business and technical stakeholders * Design and scope proof-of-value engagements that clearly demonstrate ROI * Articulate both immediate value and long-term strategic impact of our platform * Collaborate with Product and Engineering to align customer needs with product capabilities * Create reusable pre-sales assets (demos, use cases, playbooks) to scale impact across the team * Support customer expansion by identifying new use cases and value opportunities * Stay up to date on industry trends and translate these into relevant customer conversations. Strong experience with Delta Lake operations such as MERGE. Proficiency in designing Kimball star schemas and SCD1/SCD2. Solid understanding of Azure DevOps, YAML pipelines, and PR processes. Professional fluency in English and Swedish. It is meritorious if you have Knowledge of Oracle HCM or PeopleSoft data models. Experience with Power BI import mode and semantic models. This includes integrating data from various sources, ensuring data quality and enabling real-time processing capabilities. * Own the design of data models and databases that support business analytics and intelligence, using dimensional data-modelling principles. Select and use GCP database technologies such as Bigtable, Spanner or Firestore to optimise performance and scalability. * Lead the automation of data workflows and optimisation of data storage and processing costs within GCP. Use tools such as Cloud Composer for orchestration and establish best practices in performance tuning. * Ensure data security by implementing GCP security practices. Manage access controls, comply with data-governance policies and safeguard sensitive information. * Work closely with data engineers, business analysts and IT teams to define data requirements and deliver comprehensive data solutions. Provide technical leadership and guidance to team members. * Evaluate new GCP features and data-engineering technologies, setting technical direction where they can enhance data infrastructure or enable new data products. * Lead the resolution of critical pipeline failures and data-quality incidents, performing fault analysis and ensuring that preventative improvements are implemented. * Lead critical system-design and architectural decisions for scalable batch and real-time workloads. * Partner with cross-functional teams to translate complex or ambiguous business needs into effective and innovative data solutions. * Mentor engineers, review technical designs and foster a culture of continuous learning and engineering excellence. * Own improvements to the reliability, performance and cost-effectiveness of data systems. * Lead the design and maintenance of robust, secure integrations with core internal systems and critical third-party platforms. * Define appropriate monitoring and alerting standards to ensure high system reliability and minimal downtime. Skills, Knowledge and Experience * Significant experience in data engineering or data warehousing with large-scale, complex datasets. * Advanced SQL and Python skills, with experience using AI-assisted development tools appropriately. * Strong knowledge of data-modelling techniques. * Deep experience with cloud data services and technologies, ideally within the GCP ecosystem, such as Dataflow, Pub/Sub, BigQuery or Vertex AI. * Proven experience designing and implementing robust ELT pipelines, including real-time and large-scale batch processing. * Proven ability to deploy and maintain data infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code principles and tools such as Terraform. * Experience with Airflow environment management and Docker. * Experience contributing to an AI roadmap and evaluating AI tooling, including coding agents, for use within the development lifecycle. * The ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly and concisely to technical and non-technical stakeholders. * Demonstrable experience applying data-governance, privacy and security best practices in a regulated environment. * A proactive and curious approach, with the ability to anticipate and resolve system inefficiencies. * The ability to lead cross-functional technical work and translate complex or ambiguous requirements into robust data solutions. * A track record of taking end-to-end ownership for the quality, reliability and performance of business-critical data solutions. * Experience mentoring engineers and influencing technical standards across a team.
