We're looking for someone who can both build on the platform and think strategically about it- writing custom code and integrations where standard configuration falls short, while keeping a clear view of HubSpot's evolving feature set to inform what we build next and why. This is a hands-on technical role with a strategic edge, sitting within the Operations Team and working closely with the Director of Operations to turn business problems into HubSpot solutions, and HubSpot capability into business opportunity. Key Responsibilities Technical delivery * Design, build and maintain custom code on HubSpot (workflow actions, serverless functions, custom objects) and API-based integrations with third-party systems (e.g. identity verification, Companies House, billing) * Own technical delivery of HubSpot projects end to end — scoping, build, testing, deployment * Build and maintain integrations with other tools in the stack, ensuring data integrity and reliable sync * Troubleshoot HubSpot workflows, automations and integrations, liaising with vendors and developers as needed * Document all custom builds so solutions remain supportable beyond the original developer Strategy & capability planning * Maintain current knowledge of HubSpot's feature set across all Hubs and licensing tiers, including new/beta features * Translate platform capability into practical opportunity, identifying where HubSpot can replace manual process or unlock new functionality * Feed technical input into the HubSpot roadmap and advise on build vs. buy vs. configure decisions * Track the wider HubSpot ecosystem (App Marketplace, partner integrations, AI features) and flag relevant developments Collaboration & leadership * Partner with the Director of Operations to align technical builds with the CI Programme and business priorities * Act as the technical point of contact for HubSpot across Customer Service, Compliance, CoSec, Retention and Outbound Sales * Manage relationships with HubSpot and third-party development vendors, including scoping and reviewing delivery * Mentor and direct junior technical/CRM resource as the role grows What We Are Looking For * Proven experience building custom code on HubSpot (custom coded actions, serverless functions) and working with the HubSpot API * Strong working knowledge of HubSpot CRM across multiple Hubs, including workflows, automation, custom objects and reporting * Experience integrating HubSpot with third-party systems via API or middleware * Comfortable working independently to scope and deliver technical solutions, while keeping non-technical stakeholders informed in plain language * Strong analytical mindset: able to assess a business problem and judge the right technical or platform-led solution * HubSpot certifications (e.g. CMS for Developers, Platform Consulting) * Experience in a regulated, compliance-heavy, or operations-led environment * Familiarity with identity verification or KYC tooling (e.g. Onfido) * Exposure to Lean / continuous improvement methodology * Front-end development experience (JavaScript, HTML/CSS) for CMS or custom UI work What We Offer * £60-70k and comprehensive benefits package * Hybrid working model * Real opportunities for progression as the business scales * The chance to influence both customer experience and product development * A culture that values ownership, impact, and continuous learning Equal Opportunities 1st Formations is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace. Role Overview We are looking for a Software Engineer with a passion for building software that interacts directly with hardware, someone who thrives on technical complexity and cares deeply about secure, scalable code. You will design, build, and maintain our biometric identity platform: integrating with hardware (fingerprint readers, document scanners, cameras, etc.), media processing components, and ensuring high quality and compliance every step of the way. This role is based on-site at Slakthusgatan 9. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain core components of the biometric platform using C#/.NET Framework. Integrate new hardware sensors and devices into middleware and API services. Ensure software is secure, stable, and performant. Collaborate with QA, Product, and Operations to deliver high-quality releases. Conduct code reviews, mentor junior engineers, and share best practices. Tackle performance issues, debugging, and optimization. Participate in architectural planning, guide development of distributed systems, reusable components. Qualifications Master’s degree in computer science, electronics, mechatronics, engineering, or a related field 5+ years of professional experience in software development with Windows / .NET technologies. Hands-on experience developing software for hardware-based products or integrating software with physical devices (e.g. sensors, cameras, scanners, or other peripherals) Proven track record integrating hardware and software components. Strong understanding of SDKs, APIs, distributed systems, and software architecture. Deep commitment to quality: test-driven development, secure coding, and maintainable code. Experience working in agile teams and collaborating across disciplines. Excellent communication skills in English; ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Experience with device communication protocols, driver integration, or firmware interaction is a plus. Experience working with WPF is a plus.
