YOUR MISSION JOB TITLE: Network Maintenance Manager JOB LOCATION: NI TERMS: Permanent, full time THE JOB We are looking for a Network Maintenance Manager to take the lead in ensuring the Network Maintenance department is resourced and prepared to respond maintenance activities on the telecoms network. This is a hands-on position with high level of competency required. The candidate will be expected to hold a high level of ownership for their area of responsibility and will include weekend work on a rota basis. YOUR PROFILE WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING? * Managing the Network Maintenance team, ensuring achievement of KPIs, management of staff, training and any employee related issues * Upskill all levels of the team, promoting high performance teams, identifying training gaps and mentoring team members * Developing a team and processes to maximise effectiveness and efficiency of labour, ensuring Network Maintenance work is prioritised, responded to and dealt with in line with SLAs * Ensure all necessary cross-functional resources are identified and ensure that all resources understand their roles and accept their responsibilities * Managing the standby callout rota and ensuring appropriate resources are made available at all times * Attend fault location and complete any make safe/survey actions when required. * Identify fault, cause of fault and works required to restore service and record details of damage identified. * Programme and planning of works outside of Network Maintenance to assist other departments * Oversee completion of works to specifications and to PIA standards, attending site where required * Using appropriate systems, tools and techniques, establish and manage an effective reporting structure to measure and track performance * Ensure data is captured accurately and financial information is provided to appropriate departments * Liaising with management and providing reports on Network Maintenance works and any issues * Liaising with the network owner, ensuring deadlines are met, within budget and works up to standard * Ensure relevant Health & Safety standards are followed and achieved, including but not limited to SSRAs, Street works, audits, inspections, investigations etc. * Development of team resulting in streamlining processes as required on network * Attend all required meetings with both network owner and sub-contractors and third parties * Manage risk register in line with delivery programme and documentation of possible delays * Assess, review, and mitigate commercial & contractual risks * Monitor work production outputs closely with regular dialogue with the commercial dept. WHAT WILL YOU BRING? The ideal person will have a proven track record of managing reactive maintenance, people and resources to achieve client expectations in a pressurised environment. * 2+ years’ experience in a management role * Significant experience reactive maintenance management * Technically aware and ability to learn, understand and converse with technical terminology * Significant experience of cabling and/or testing and splicing on a Fibre network, with the ability to provide sound technical advice * Proven track record of delivering to time, cost and quality * Well-developed planning and organisational skills including schedule management * Outstanding communication and inter-personal skills * Effective negotiation skills * High-level of IT literacy including experience of using Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel * Experience of using GIS / Network mapping systems * Full UK driving licence * Ability to attend site when required, including out of hours ABOUT US Viberoptix, part of the Fibrus Group of companies, deliver specialised fibre network build solutions from design, civils activities, cabling and splicing. We are looking for a Senior Dredging Consultant to join our Dredging Survey & Environment Team with a background in (or good knowledge of) dredging, reclamation, earthworks and other water/marine works. While we are primarily seeking an experienced Senior Consultant, we are a growing team and are also keen to hear from ambitious early-careers professionals or engineers with relevant dredging experience who are eager to develop into this specialist field. You will play a key role in designing resilient maritime infrastructure and ensuring sustainable sediment management in the face of increasing climate-induced hazards. You will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality consultancy advice, overseeing dredging contractors, and providing technical support to clients. In addition, you will contribute to R&D activities, help develop innovative digital tools, and represent HR Wallingford at conferences and trade events. About you You will work both independently and as part of a team, undertaking occasional fieldwork and attending on-site client meetings as required. You are a highly organised professional with a sharp eye for detail, particularly regarding technical reporting and documentation. You should be comfortable translating complex site data into clear, effective written reports for a variety of stakeholders. As part of our commitment to technical excellence, the selection process will include a review of technical competency and written communication (including the reviewing and drafting of technical content). Candidates should be prepared to demonstrate practical knowledge of dredging plant and a high standard of professional reporting. Key qualifications and skills For the role you will need to demonstrate: * Education & Experience: A degree in a relevant field (e.g. Civil Engineering). Typically, we look for 5+ years of commercial dredging industry experience for the Senior grade, but we encourage applications from candidates at an earlier career stage who possess a strong technical foundation in heavy civils or maritime works. * Technical Knowledge: Understanding of a range of dredging plant and equipment, alongside knowledge of dredging project structure, programme and health and safety. * Software Proficiency: A high level of proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) is an absolute minimum requirement. * Communication: Exceptional written communication skills, with extensive experience in writing, reviewing, and delivering technical reports. Must also be able to communicate well verbally in meetings and via preparation and delivery of impactful presentations. * Project Management: Strong organisational skills with a track record of delivering tasks or projects on time and on budget. * Desirable Skills: Previous experience with GIS, CAD, or Microsoft Project would be a significant advantage, as would experience with vessel-based and overseas fieldwork. * Professional Growth: Professional membership of a relevant body (e.g., ICE, IMarEST), ideally Chartered or working towards Chartered status. Current projects within the Catchments and Drainage team include: * Modelling the impacts of retrofitting Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS) in cities in Europe and the Caribbean as part of climate resilient planning strategies; * Evaluating impacts of Combined Sewer Overflow (CSO) spills and urban runoff discharges; * Governance of water company modelling and asset delivery strategies; * Modelling and master planning drainage asset portfolios; * Developing climate-adjusted rainfall time series and risk-based approaches to drainage design for flood and spill risk mitigation; * Creating tools for the planning, evaluation and design of SuDS; * Creating digital AI modelling solutions and applications; * Developing industry good practice guidance. The team sits within the wider Flood and Water Management Group. Across this Group, we have a wide variety of experts including in water resources, flood risk systems analyses, flood forecasting, international climate adaptation and resilience, statistical modelling, data visualisation and management, and the use of earth observation data. About the role We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual with existing demonstrable drainage modelling expertise and skills in data analysis who can help us with the development of new ideas and solutions, alongside providing robust established support to our clients. About you You will have at least a years’ surface water and/or wastewater drainage modelling experience (using InfoWorks ICM or equivalent) and ideally also have expertise in GIS and coding to help present and solve complex, data-intensive problems. You will have good understanding of risks and solutions relating to urban runoff. Importantly, you will be a team player. You will have a minimum professional qualification of a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline and have studied mathematics to A’level (or equivalent).
