The reporter will persistently and confidently pursue leads from senior naval and government officials, industry representatives, and other contacts to generate original stories. The project assistant will contribute to three ongoing research projects within the Division of Marine Technology. These projects are conducted in close collaboration with industrial partners specialising in the development of umbilical cables, mooring systems, and installation solutions for floating renewable energy devices. Two of the projects focus on the structural integrity of highly dynamic power cables. A central challenge is to design cables that can withstand complex mechanical loading while ensuring reliable power transmission over extended service lifetimes, without the need for maintenance or replacement. The third project centres on the development of an advanced lifetime engineering simulation framework, integrating lifecycle assessment (LCA), lifecycle cost (LCC), and lifecycle performance (LCP). As the LCP module is currently under development, the project assistant will play a key role in its completion. This work will include the modelling of fatigue behaviour of mooring systems for floating offshore wind applications, as well as extending the framework to incorporate power cable performance. Coalition Clean Baltic – CCB is a politically independent network, uniting 28 environmental NGOs, as well as partners and experts from 11 countries surrounding the Baltic Sea, promoting the protection and improvement of the Baltic environment and its natural resources. CCB Secretariat is based in Uppsala, Sweden. CCB is recruiting a [full-time] Project Coordinator to play an important administrative role in implementing the EU LIFE QuietWaters Project (Towards regionally coordinated actions to reduce underwater noise emissions from existing and future recreational crafts in the Baltic Sea), for the period 1 September 2026 - 31 August 2030. QuietWaters aims to address the reduction of underwater noise pollution from existing and future recreational crafts in the Baltic Sea. Through baseline assessments, pilot studies, stakeholder engagement, policy support, capacity building and awareness raising activities, the project will contribute to the EU's efforts to achieve Good Environmental Status in its marine waters. Moreover, it will pave the way for a quieter, healthier Baltic marine environment, supporting the regional objectives of the HELCOM Baltic Sea Action Plan (BSAP) and the Regional Action Plan on Underwater Noise (RAP). Core responsibilities: Work in the electrical workshop with pre-assembly of in-house designed electrical components. Work in the boats with installation of electrical components and cables. Drive continuous improvement activities in quality, cycle times, cost reduction and process improvement. Working closely with manufacturing engineering and following guidelines and work instructions given by the company. Follow rules and regulations working with personal protective equipment given by the company. Working in an international environment - our corporate language is English (including production). We are looking for a Project Sourcing Specialist to support Candela’s future growth ambitions. Purpose and Goals You are a hands-on sourcing professional driving supplier selection and commercial execution in development and engineering change projects. You take ownership of sourcing activities from early supplier involvement through supplier selection and handover to operations, ensuring the right balance between cost, quality, risk, sustainability, and scalability. What you’ll do Own the global UW tables (canonical facts/dimensions for applications, decisions, features, repayments, delinquency) with clear SLAs for freshness, completeness, accuracy, and data lineage. Design for AI-agents and humans: consistent IDs, canonical events, explicit metric definitions, rich metadata (schemas, data dictionaries), and machine-readable data contracts. Build & run pipelines (batch + streaming) that feed UW scoring, real-time decisioning, monitoring, and underwriting optimization. Instrument quality & observability (alerts, audits, reconciliation, backfills) and drive incident/root-cause reviews. Partner closely with Credit Portfolio Management, Policy teams, Modeling teams, and treasury and finance teams to land features for RUE and consumer-centric models, plus regulatory and management reporting.
