AT A GLANCE We are looking for a Senior Specialist – Retail Talent Acquisition to independently lead hiring across a defined retail area. This role combines strong end-to-end execution with meaningful stakeholder partnership, bringing Talent Acquisition closer to the business and helping raise the quality and consistency of hiring decisions on the ground. You will work closely with Store Leaders, Area Leads and BP's to manage searches, build proactive pipelines and support a more structured, high-quality approach to hiring. You will play an active role in the moments that matter most, from search strategy and candidate assessment to hiring days, calibration and store opening readiness. This is a role for someone who wants to go beyond vacancy delivery and help shape a more embedded, premium and business-connected Retail TA model as On continues to scale. YOUR STORY You are an experienced recruiter with strong Retail hiring expertise and a track record of delivering high-quality outcomes in fast-moving, people-intensive environments. You are confident running full-cycle hiring independently, but you also see your role as more than simply managing vacancies - you build trust with stakeholders, improve how hiring decisions are made, and bring a high level of care and quality to every search. You understand the importance of staying close to the business. You are at your best when partnering directly with Store Leaders and Area Leads, helping them think more clearly about what great looks like, where to find it, and how to assess it well. You are organised, proactive and commercially grounded, with the judgement to balance pace with quality. You are comfortable using data and market insight to shape conversations, challenge assumptions and improve hiring discipline. You care about candidate experience, but you also care about the strength and consistency of the hiring process itself. You are someone who spots opportunities to make things better and is motivated by being part of a broader shift in how Retail hiring is delivered. You thrive in environments where standards are high, relationships matter and execution counts. You are ready to play a meaningful role in building a more premium and distinctive Retail TA model. YOUR MISSION * Independently own full-cycle hiring across a defined retail area, with accountability for search progress, candidate experience and hiring outcomes. * Partner closely with Store Leaders and Area Leads to understand hiring needs, shape search strategy and improve decision-making. * Build and maintain proactive pipelines for recurring store roles, future openings and regional growth. * Support and elevate key hiring moments, including interview activity, hiring days, talent calibration and store opening readiness. * Be regularly present in stores and local markets so you understand the reality of the teams you are hiring for and can support leaders directly on the ground. * Use data and funnel insight to diagnose bottlenecks, improve hiring discipline and guide stakeholder conversations with confidence. * Reinforce high standards in assessment quality, process adherence and candidate care across all searches. * Partner with central Talent Attraction, Employer Brand and People teams to balance consistency with strong local execution. * Mentor more junior team members and contribute to the evolution of Retail TA practices, tools and ways of working. You are spending time with stores, understanding the local context, and showing up in person when it matters to improve hiring quality, build trust and help leaders make better decisions. The role includes direct support across interview activity, hiring days, store opening support, training, calibration and proactive pipelining.
