About Verified Verified started with solutions for electronic signing, identity verification, and contract management. In close collaboration with its customers, the company has since evolved into a RegTech provider of digital workflows for Anti-Money Laundering and supplier due diligence. The platform is API-first and delivered as SaaS and PaaS, built for secure and scalable cloud-based services across electronic signing, electronic identification and AML capabilities. An “AI-first” approach is also being adopted, with AI agents and services integrated both internally and into customer-facing products. The team consists of dedicated colleagues across the Nordics and Europe and the company culture is built on shared ownership, where all employees contribute to building the future of Verified and take responsibility for what is promised and delivered, both internally and in customer collaborations. About the role and the team As a Senior Fullstack Engineer in the AML domain, you will play a key role in building and evolving Verified’s cloud platform for secure and scalable trust services. You will work across both frontend and backend services running in AWS, contributing to systems that support critical compliance workflows. You will join a high-autonomy, cross-functional team where ownership is shared and the full lifecycle of core services is handled collectively. The team is responsible for designing, building, deploying, and operating services end-to-end, with a strong focus on scalability, security, and time-to-market. Working in an agile environment, you will collaborate closely with product owners, designers, QA, and other engineers to deliver robust and high-quality solutions. Key responsibilities include: Design, develop, and maintain scalable cloud-based systems in AWS Build and evolve REST APIs and modern web applications Contribute to architecture and technical decisions Improve scalability by decoupling dependencies and reducing time-to-market Integrate AI capabilities such as AI agents and RAG into products and workflows Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues Drive engineering quality through code reviews, testing, CI/CD, and best practices Contribute to continuous improvement in architecture and engineering practices About you We believe you are a self-driven fullstack engineer who thrives in high-autonomy environments where you take end-to-end ownership of complex systems. You are comfortable working across the stack in modern cloud-based SaaS products and enjoy building scalable and secure solutions with real business impact. You are curious about how modern technologies, including AI, can be applied both in products and across the development lifecycle. You are comfortable working with technical trade-offs and contributing to improvements in system design, performance, and developer experience. We are now on the lookout for a platform-focused Senior Data Engineer to join the team in Stockholm. ABOUT THE TEAM The Data Engineering team is responsible for empowering Storytel with data. We drive the full data lifecycle, from ingestion to delivery, and help ensure that the rest of the business have the data, tools and engineering collaboration needed to help make informed data-driven decisions. As a team, we provide cross-functional competencies in data engineering as well as analytics engineering to the rest of Storytel. Some of the tech stack and tools we work with are dbt (SQL), Looker, BigQuery, Python, Airflow, Terraform, CI/CD, Github, Airbyte as well as other products included within the Google Cloud Platform. Moreover, we like to keep our skills up to date by frequently engaging lab days. ABOUT THE ROLE As a Data Engineer, your main responsibility will be to enable the team and the rest of the organization with a data platform and the tools that power data at Storytel. You will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with plenty of opportunities to experiment with new technologies and solutions. Our team is highly collaborative and works in a cross-functional organizational landscape with the following: Example of responsibilities * Build core infrastructure: Contribute to building a large-scale, highly performant self-service data platform using cutting-edge technologies * Innovate and improve: Drive internal tooling and process development to continuously increase data quality and constantly improve the engineering experience. * Excellence in data management: Continuously improve on building capabilities for effective data utilization across Storytel. * Collaboration: Collaborate with other engineers, data analysts, data scientists, and decision-makers to understand needs and build self-service. ABOUT YOU To be a fit for our team, we believe that you: * Have a few years of hands-on experience in delivering data products and know the value of accurate consistent data infrastructure. * Have experience in delivering infrastructure using Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Github (Github actions), and maintaining data orchestration tools such as Airflow, dbt, Airbyte. * Have experience with cloud infrastructure (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and data warehousing (preferably BigQuery). * Have a good understanding of data access, storage, and optimization. * Are able to break down and explain complicated technical solutions independent of stakeholders. * Thrive in an environment focusing on innovation and collaboration and continuously work on personal development. Bonus qualifications: * Experience with streaming data ingestion. * Expertise in developing CI/CD pipelines tailored for data infrastructure.
