Driven by our purpose, "Leading the future of storytelling, we move the world through stories", Storytel Group inspires and entertains people around the world by blending innovation with tradition. We bring stories to life across various formats for everyone to discover. Anytime. Anywhere. Ready for your next chapter? We're looking for an IT Operations Specialist to join our team in Stockholm! ABOUT THE ROLE Do you want to architect, develop, and take technical ownership of modern cloud Digital Workplace platforms while remaining hands-on, managing daily operations and handling routine workplace IT tasks? The IT Operations team is currently scaling our responsibilities and operations. While Storytel’s core IT landscape is primarily built around Google Workspace and macOS, we are in an exciting phase where we are taking over the IT responsibility for companies within the group that mainly operate on Microsoft 365. We are looking for this role to act as the technical bridge for this expansion, which brings an exciting increase in technical complexity, multi-tenant environments, and global reach. In this role, you will step into a vital and highly versatile position. While your primary focus will be acting as our internal driver for MDM and Microsoft 365 governance, this is a broad role where you will manage and work across a wide array of different systems, applications, processes, and projects. Simultaneously, you will remain hands-on, supporting the team in daily operations and taking ownership of Workplace IT. Growth & Opportunities For an ambitious candidate who successfully takes ownership and elevates our MDM and M365 environments, there are great opportunities to gradually shape the role and dive deeper into specialized infrastructure engineering and governance as our landscape evolves. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES * MDM Evolution & Management: Take ownership of managing and developing our device management across our hybrid device fleet with Microsoft Intune and Jamf. You will architect, build, and maintain secure device configurations while also focusing on creating a great user experience with a distinct Storytel look and feel across all endpoints. * M365 & Identity Governance: Architect, configure, and manage our Microsoft 365 environments within a complex multi-tenant structure. These environments are tightly integrated with Okta as part of an advanced identity architecture, utilizing HRiS as a Source * SaaS System Administration: Daily administration, user lifecycle management, and optimization of various SaaS systems used and provided across the group. * IT Projects & Continuous Improvement: Actively lead and execute various internal IT projects. You will be a driving force behind onboarding new group environments and constantly leveling up our technical setup. * Vendor Management & Procurement: Manage relationships and contracts with external IT vendors, hardware suppliers, and SaaS providers. You will oversee software licensing, optimize procurement processes, and ensure we partner with the right external stakeholders. Operational & Workplace Responsibilities * Office & AV technology: Driving the continuous improvement and development of our office technology and meeting rooms, while overseeing daily operations and support * IT-Equipment Management: Managing IT equipment lifecycle operations (procurement, inventory logistics, and on/offboarding setups) for a device fleet consisting primarily of MacBooks, alongside an increasing number of Windows devices. * Daily IT-support: Handling a broad variety of daily support requests from our end-users, both on-site and remote. Ranging from complex technical troubleshooting to routine, autopilot tasks REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS * Technical Experience: At least 3–5 years of experience working within IT operations, modern workplace management, or system administration. * MDM & M365 Expertise: Proven experience configuring and administering Microsoft Intune (device configuration, compliance policies, deployment) and managing Microsoft 365 environments. Experience with multi-tenant setups is a major plus. * Hands-on IT Support: Solid experience handling day-to-day workplace IT, end-user support, and hardware lifecycle management. * Advanced Workstation & OS Expertise: Deep technical knowledge of both Windows and macOS ecosystems, naturally becoming the go-to person in the team for anything related to computer management and troubleshooting. * Bonus Platform Knowledge: Experience with Okta, Google Workspace and Jamf is a strong advantage. * Language: Professional fluency in English, both written and spoken. Who You Are To thrive in this position, we are looking for a specific mindset and personality. We believe you recognize yourself in the following: * Autonomous & Driven: You don't wait for instructions. You identify what needs to be done, set your own agenda, and drive your initiatives to completion with high energy. * AI-Forward & Efficiency-Minded: You have a strong understanding of how to leverage AI to optimize your work. Actively finding ways to integrate AI into our systems to automate processes is critical to your success in this role. * Genuinely Tech-Savvy: You love technology and are motivated by continuous improvement. You take great pride in delivering high-quality, stable, and well-structured solutions. * People-Centric & Service-Minded: You are a genuine "people person" who excels at building relationships. You will interact extensively with users both at the office and in various other contexts, making a highly service-oriented mindset and strong interpersonal skills essential. * Humble & Versatile (Prestigeless): You move seamlessly between high-level cloud architecture and helping a colleague with an urgent hardware issue. You are ready to work broadly and jump in wherever the team needs you most. * Process-Minded: You have a natural ability to see the bigger picture and design structured, scalable processes rather than relying on ad-hoc fixes. Location & Workplace We operate on trust, meaning you have the freedom to manage your own calendar, shape your week, and adjust your daily working hours to fit your life. Since a vital part of your role involves managing our physical office ecosystem and hands-on device troubleshooting, this role naturally relies on your physical presence at our Stockholm HQ on a daily basis. However, you will have autonomy over your daily calendar and how you pace your hours. What We Offer A role with high autonomy, immense learning potential, and the chance to leave your mark on a global IT infrastructure from day one. You will join a skilled team that values initiative, continuous learning, and having fun along the way. In addition to living up to our cultural values (see our values below), we hope you bring a passion for software development, scalable architecture, and building great products. For us, it is important that everyone cares about code quality, so an interest in testing and automation is needed. Excellent communication skills and working independently and in a team are other traits we are looking for in all our colleagues. For the Workplace Integrations team, experience building integrations with third-party platforms or working extensively with external APIs is a requirement. You should understand the complexities of distributed systems and async workflows, feel comfortable navigating technical documentation from various vendors, and have a security-first mindset, especially in enterprise contexts. You can balance perfectionism with pragmatism and are excited by making complex technical systems feel simple to end users. Last but not least, you must have a curious mindset, be open to learning & sharing knowledge, and be interested in working with our tech stack. THE ACTUAL CODING The tech stack at Mentimeter consists of a frontend written in React (Next.js and Typescript) Historically we’ve had Ruby as our chosen language for the backend but are now moving to Next.js and Typescript from the backend as well. Our stack is supported by some of the following technologies: * Tailwind CSS * TypeScript * PostgreSQL * ClickHouse * Redpanda * Vercel * AWS On the Workplace Integrations team, you'll also work with various third-party APIs and SDKs (Microsoft Graph, Slack, Google Workspace), OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SAML, SSO, SCIM, webhook systems and event-driven architectures, and message queues for reliable async processing. This role lives mostly on the backend, with work focused on token lifecycles, webhooks, queues, and Graph/Workspace APIs. We need someone who's excellent in TypeScript end-to-end and comfortable in React when the work calls for it. COMPENSATION At Mentimeter, we believe in fair and transparent compensation that grows with you. The salary range for this role is SEK 54,000–SEK 70,000 per month. All of this comes attached with a competitive compensation and benefits package, including pension contributions. Learn more about our benefits by visiting our Benefits & Perks page AI and Hiring at Mentimeter At Mentimeter, we believe AI helps us work smarter - but it never replaces the human assessment, curiosity, and personal connection that define our culture and our hiring. We use AI as a sparring partner: to bounce ideas, bring new perspectives, support structure, and make our work more efficient. But the meaning, decisions, and interactions always come from people. * AI does not screen or decide on candidates. * There is no automated filtering, ranking, or decision-making in our recruitment process. Every application is reviewed by a person. * Hiring teams may use AI to support their work - for example, to structure notes, prepare interview questions, or organize their thinking. AI strengthens our work, but it does not define it. At Mentimeter, we’re not building an AI-driven hiring process - we’re building a people-first culture, where technology helps us listen, learn, and grow together. Culture at Mentimeter At Mentimeter we believe in giving everyone a voice - regardless of who you are. So we build a platform that does just that. Our platform is not only our product but also our organization. A platform where people feel safe, where differences are embraced, a place where you can have fun. We strongly encourage applicants who are people of color, LGBTQ+, women, people with disabilities, and/or formerly incarcerated people, and a college degree is not strictly required. In order to give everyone a voice, we need to be as diverse as our users. Learn more about our culture by visiting our Culture page. Review our Privacy Policy for more information.
