We are leaving a monolith-centric past and entering into a streaming and microservice based future in the cloud. As a System Architect in the Production Core unit, you will be in the heart of production, creating data structures and information flows that impact how systems interact and collaborate. You will be working from operational all the way to strategic level. In collaboration with others, you will be taking decisions with immediate implications on agile development team’s backlogs.   Job duties Central to PostNord’s new architecture, is a streaming based Data Platform where all messages are governed by a schema registry. Schemas decide what information is being exchanged between sub-domains within PostNord. The underlying data model is under development and will continue to evolve on the maturity timeline. To be effective, the model must cater for business needs, while at the same time being lean and straightforward. You as System Architect will primarily have focus on strengthening the Data Streaming platform for long term relevance. With hands-on experience on the platform tech-stack, you will explore different ways to further increase the usability for downstream services. You will work closely with business, architects on different levels and development teams. An important area will be to develop the forementioned data model and ensure high data quality. You will make sure that agreed company-wide architecture principles and guidelines are followed, while also innovating and challenging status quo. In this role, you will be in a good position to play an important role in our ongoing tech-transformation and our future success! Must-have Experience in working with Data Streaming platforms like Apache Kafka or Confluent Strong understanding of event driven architectures on a large enterprise scale Experience in working with information models and data governance including documenting current data flows and creating a wanted state to work towards Experience in transaction intensive IT Systems Experience in driving organizational tech-transformations   Excellent communication skills with strong stakeholder management abilities Strong integrity and analysis skills Urge to understand and model business needs Understanding of the importance of weighing both functional and non-functional requirements Nice-to-have Experience in the logistics or supply chain industry. Experience in building Micro-Service based architecture Fluency in Swedish Knowledge requirement Civil Engineering, bachelor’s degree in computer science (as a minimum), or equivalent Fluency in English, both written and spoken. WHAT YOU’LL DO You'll be joining our Workplace Integrations team - a team focused on building the bridges that make Mentimeter indispensable within existing workplace ecosystems. We enable strategic integrations with platforms like Microsoft Teams and Google Workspace. We integrate with AI agents and assistants - building MCP connectors. This unlocks value for both end users and enterprises, turning every integration into an opportunity for organizational growth. On the Workplace Integrations team specifically, you'll design and build scalable integration architectures connecting Mentimeter with integrations that are the fabric of how companies operate. You'll ensure our integrations meet enterprise requirements for security, compliance, and reliability, while building monitoring systems to maintain high availability. You'll also create developer-friendly documentation and balance technical decisions that serve both immediate user needs and long-term scalability. As a member of the team you’ll contribute to strategic decisions about future integrations - building deep domain knowledge about the workplace ecosystem and contributing insights on which platforms will drive the most value for our users and business. You will do this with other Product engineers, a Product Manager, a Product Designer, and an Engineering Manager. Even though there are some specific roles in the team, we do things and solve problems together. We want you to be someone who engages with the rest of the team in product and design decisions and doesn't shy away from discussions.   WHO YOU ARE You are a reliable, high-performing individual contributor with a solid understanding of your area of specialization. You take accountability for your work end to end and ship code every week. Customer contact and team metrics are of highest importance when turning an idea into execution. Excellent communication skills and working independently and in a team are other traits we are looking for in all our colleagues. For the Workplace Integrations team, experience building integrations with third-party platforms or working extensively with external APIs is a requirement. You should understand the complexities of distributed systems and async workflows, feel comfortable navigating technical documentation from various vendors, and have a security-first mindset, especially in enterprise contexts. You can balance perfectionism with pragmatism and are excited by making complex technical systems feel simple to end users. Last but not least, you must have a curious mindset, be open to learning & sharing knowledge, and be interested in working with our tech stack.   THE ACTUAL CODING The tech stack at Mentimeter consists of a frontend written in React (Next.js and Typescript) Historically we’ve had Ruby as our chosen language for the backend but are now moving to Next.js and Typescript from the backend as well. Our stack is supported by some of the following technologies: * Tailwind CSS * TypeScript * PostgreSQL * ClickHouse * Redpanda * Vercel * AWS On the Workplace Integrations team, you'll also work with various third-party APIs and SDKs (Microsoft Graph, Slack, Google Workspace), OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SAML, SSO, SCIM, webhook systems and event-driven architectures, and message queues for reliable async processing. This role lives mostly on the backend, with work focused on token lifecycles, webhooks, queues, and Graph/Workspace APIs. We need someone who's excellent in TypeScript end-to-end and comfortable in React when the work calls for it.   COMPENSATION At Mentimeter, we believe in fair and transparent compensation that grows with you. The salary range for this role is SEK 54,000–SEK 70,000 per month. It’s intentionally broad to reflect the different stages of growth within the role: from early development to deep expertise and meaningful impact.
