About this role in the team: Due to our expanding business, there is an increased demand for a Compliance Onboarding Analyst to join the Team. The role requires a high level of initiative, as well as expertise in a FinTech environment and cooperation with corporate and individual clients. This role requires high attention to clients needs, self education and self organization. This role will form part of our global team, and will work closely with Operations, Trading Team, Sales, and Management. Key Areas of Responsibilities: * Manage the onboarding and due diligence process for the Company's Individual (Consumer) clients, ensuring adherence to best practices in KYC, compliance, and risk management. * Oversee the end-to-end Individual (Consumer) customer application process, including the collection, review, and verification of all required documentation. * Conduct Customer Due Diligence (CDD) and Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD), where required, in line with internal policies and regulatory requirements. * Perform screening and due diligence checks, including Sanctions, Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs), and Adverse Media screening, investigating and resolving any potential matches or alerts. * Conduct PEP risk assessments and make informed recommendations regarding escalations in accordance with internal policies and risk appetite. * Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, internal policies, and industry best practices throughout the customer onboarding lifecycle. * Make risk-based decisions on customer applications, determining when additional information, further investigation, or escalation is required, and follow through with appropriate actions. * Maintain accurate and complete customer records, ensuring all KYC documentation is up to date and audit-ready. * Identify and suggest improvements to onboarding processes to enhance efficiency, compliance, and customer experience. What we need from you: * Fluent in English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills. * Minimum 2 years' experience in KYC onboarding within the payments, fintech, banking, or foreign exchange (FX) industry. * Familiarity with customer onboarding requirements across multiple jurisdictions, particularly the EU and US. * Strong understanding of KYC, AML, Customer Due Diligence (CDD), and Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) requirements for individual customers. * Proven experience conducting customer screening, including Sanctions, Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs), and Adverse Media checks, with the ability to assess results and manage escalations appropriately. * Strong analytical and investigative skills, with the ability to identify potential risks, make sound risk-based decisions, and escalate complex cases where required. * Experience working within a regulated financial services environment and maintaining compliance with internal policies and applicable regulatory requirements. * Hands-on experience using Sumsub or similar CRM/case management tools for customer onboarding and workflow management. * Excellent attention to detail, organisational skills, and the ability to manage multiple onboarding cases simultaneously while maintaining high standards of accuracy and compliance. * Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, managing competing priorities and meeting service level agreements (SLAs). What you will do * Execute upon Know-Your-Customer (KYC) and Customer Due Diligence (CDD) procedures. * Collect and analyze customer information on a monthly basis whilst documenting material changes to their organizational structures, legal entity(ies) and policies. * Perform KYC checks on our merchants, collect and verify relevant documentation and iterate on the process flow. * Guide our merchants and be the first point of contact for every CDD Review related matter. * Be an internal product advocate, drive process improvements and feedback on automation within our workflows. * Be an internal advisor for CDD Review related questions in the local office and our North America team. * Align with your peers based in Chicago and global teams to ensure consistency throughout our global risk reviews.
