About the role
Leapit is looking for experienced Machine Learning Engineers to join our growing engineering team in Sweden. We work with leading international companies across technology, finance, telecom, automotive, retail, and digital products.
As a Machine Learning Engineer, you will design, build, and deploy machine learning solutions that solve real business problems at scale. You will work end-to-end, from data exploration and experimentation to model development, production deployment, and continuous improvement.
You will collaborate closely with software engineers, data engineers, product teams, and business stakeholders to transform large and complex datasets into intelligent, production-ready solutions.
This role is ideal for engineers who combine strong data science skills with solid software engineering practices and enjoy working in modern, fast-moving development environments.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and deploy machine learning models for production systems
Build scalable data pipelines and software solutions for large datasets
Perform data analysis, feature engineering, and model evaluation
Develop predictive models, anomaly detection systems, classification models, and NLP solutions
Work with LLMs, prompting techniques, and agent-based workflows
Integrate machine learning models into existing applications and cloud platforms
Optimize model performance, scalability, and reliability
Own technical deliveries from experimentation to production
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, product, and business stakeholders
Contribute to architecture, technical documentation, and best practices
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Data Science, or related field
5+ years of software engineering or machine learning experience
Strong programming skills in Python
Proven experience in machine learning and data science
Experience with supervised and unsupervised learning methods
Experience working with LLMs and modern AI workflows
Strong knowledge of machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, Scikit-learn, NumPy, and Pandas
Experience building and deploying production-grade machine learning systems
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication skills in English
The Opportunity At Hitachi Energy Cooling Systems, we have global responsibility for the development and manufacturing of highly reliable cooling systems for power electronics and power transmission applications. Our solutions contribute to safe, efficient, and stable operation of HVDC and other high‑power installations worldwide, with quality and customer focus at the core. Due to strong growth driven by increasing global energy demand, we are now expanding our electrical design and automation team in Landskrona. We are looking for an Electrical Designer who wants to work close to technology, production, and projects in a hands‑on engineering role. In this position, you will design electrical solutions for cooling systems, ranging from automation cabinets and motor control centers to junction boxes and supporting systems. You will work in close collaboration with project engineers, production, suppliers, and service teams, contributing across project execution, R&D activities, and after‑sales support. As our production is based in Landskrona, the role is primarily on‑site, with some flexibility for remote work. How you’ll make an impact Design electrical solutions in accordance with customer specifications, internal standards, and applicable regulations. Develop electrical designs for automation cabinets, control panels, MCCs, and junction boxes for cooling systems. Select components and solutions for low‑voltage systems (typical voltages: 208/400/480/690 VAC and 24–220 VDC). Create and maintain technical documentation such as schematics, functional descriptions, work instructions, and quality records. Create and manage articles and Bills of Material (BOM) in SAP. Support testing activities, factory acceptance tests (FAT), and supplier evaluations. Provide technical support during commissioning (SAT) and contribute to after‑sales troubleshooting and improvements. Your background Post‑secondary technical education in electrical engineering or equivalent practical experience. Several years of experience in electrical design within machine manufacturing, process industry, water treatment, or similar project‑based environments. Proven experience delivering electrical designs from concept through production, testing, and commissioning. Strong proficiency in electrical CAD tools such as Elprocad or similar systems. Good understanding of low‑voltage systems, redundancy concepts, and industrial electrical design principles. Familiarity with relevant standards such as IEC 61439 and IEC 61000‑6‑2 / IEC 61000‑6‑4. A structured, communicative, and collaborative working style, with the ability to take responsibility for your own learning. Fluency in technical English, both written and spoken; Swedish language skills are considered a strong advantage. Meriting experience Experience with PLC programming or automation systems. Knowledge of UL/CSA standards and design according to these. Understanding of the Machinery Directive and CE‑related regulations. Hands‑on experience with electrical cabinet assembly or automation system konfiguration. As power demand and cybersecurity requirements continue to grow, the boundaries between machine OT networks and customer IT environments are becoming increasingly interconnected. We are now looking for a Project Engineer – Network & Cyber Security to strengthen our engineering team in Landskrona. In this role, you will work close to both technology and projects, acting as a key link between industrial automation systems and customer site networks. You will support secure network design, implementation, and lifecycle management of machine networks, while also serving as a cybersecurity focal point in customer projects. The role combines hands‑on technical work with coordination, documentation, and continuous improvement in a global engineering environment. How you’ll make an impact Design and integrate secure network architectures between machine OT environments and customer site IT networks. Configure, commission, and support industrial network equipment such as switches, routers, firewalls, and gateways in project deliveries. Act as a cybersecurity representative in customer projects, ensuring compliance with internal policies, customer requirements, and applicable regulations. Prepare and maintain cybersecurity‑related technical documentation, risk assessments, and compliance evidence. Support troubleshooting and incident resolution during commissioning, operation, and lifecycle phases. Collaborate closely with automation engineers, customer OT/IT teams, and suppliers to ensure robust and secure system integration. Contribute to continuous improvement of network, cybersecurity practices, tools, and ways of working. Your background A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Industrial Automation, or equivalent practical experience. Several years of experience working with industrial networks and cybersecurity in OT/IT environments within sectors such as power transmission, substations, manufacturing, or process industries. Solid understanding of industrial networking concepts, including Layer 2/3 networking, segmentation, redundancy, and routing in OT contexts. Experience with industrial communication protocols such as IEC 61850, PROFINET, Modbus TCP, OPC UA, EtherNet/IP, or similar. Familiarity with industrial cybersecurity principles, standards, and frameworks (e.g. IEC 62443, ISO 27001, NIST, EU CRA). A structured, proactive, and collaborative working style, with the ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders. Fluency in English, both written and spoken; Swedish language skills are considered a strong advantage. Meriting experience Hands‑on experience with PLCs, HMIs, drives, or industrial automation systems. Experience with network monitoring, diagnostic, or security assessment tools. Certifications such as CCNA/CCNP, CompTIA Network+, or IEC 62443‑related training.
