Your future team You'll become part of our Regulatory team within R&D in Lund - a group of seven experienced and knowledgeable colleagues who together play a crucial role in enabling Axis hardware products to reach markets globally. The team is the hub that our R&D projects and colleagues worldwide turn to when it comes to certification and regulatory requirements for our hardware products. What you'll do here as Regulatory Engineer R&D As a Regulatory Engineer R&D, your main task is to support our R&D projects with knowledge around the certification of our hardware products. The projects teams are responsible for scheduling and coordination, while you act as their regulatory anchor. You help the projects understand the requirement frameworks, provide regulatory support during external testing, and ensure that all documentation is handled correctly for global market access. In this role, you will: Support to R&D projects: Assist the projects with knowledge regarding regulatory requirements according to LVD, EMC, RED and equivalent requirements in other countries. Regulatory support toward test houses: Act as the projects' regulatory support in the dialogue with external test houses. Global Market Access & certification support: Contribute regulatory knowledge for global certifications and handle the documentation required for international market access. Global support within Axis: Answer questions from Axis' global organization regarding products' certification status and regulatory conditions in different markets. Administration: Ensure that the project's regulatory deliverables (test reports, certificates, Declaration of Conformity) are uploaded to the correct databases and that all documentation is complete ahead of launch. You are analytical, enjoy digging deep into directives and standards, and find it easy to collaborate with colleagues around the world. We'd love to hear that you have/are: Good knowledge of regulations such as LVD, EMC and RED, as well as equivalent global requirements Experienced within the area of regulatory compliance and certification A strong communicator in English, both spoken and written, as you support the global organization and review international documentation Bonus points for (but not required): Experience of or familiarity with the certification of products with Bluetooth. Our projects typically involve safety-critical functionality, complex system interactions and real constraints on performance and reliability. We are now looking for a senior software engineer who wants to work close to the technology and take responsibility in technically demanding environments. What you’ll work on Depending on the project, you might: Develop safety-critical software in C/C++ for embedded systems Work close to the OS layer using RTOS, Linux or QNX Debug and optimize systems where timing and resource constraints are critical Collaborate with system engineers, testers and hardware teams to ensure end-to-end functionality Contribute to architecture, design decisions and technical direction Many of our assignments involve standards such as AUTOSAR and ASPICE, where traceability, testing and quality are integral parts of the development. What we’re looking for You likely have several years of experience working with embedded or automotive software and are comfortable working in complex systems. We think you: Have solid experience in C/C++ Understand embedded systems and low-level behavior Have worked with RTOS, Linux or similar environments Are used to working with quality requirements, testing and structured development processes Can collaborate across roles and communicate technical trade-offs Experience with AUTOSAR, ASPICE, automotive communication protocols or tools like Vector is valuable.
