The Stream Reporting team is responsible for capturing and processing the consumption signals that power some of Spotify’s most important experiences and business functions. Our systems help ensure accurate royalty reporting, support experimentation and analytics, and provide trusted data that informs recommendations and personalization across Spotify.

Android - AOSP Engineer - IPP Hardware Adyen’s In-person payments fleet of payment devices is growing exponentially with every passing month. We are bringing thousands of devices to the field every month with a wide variety of models and this doesn’t come without challenges. We are looking for an Android Engineer with AOSP experience to help us in taking full control over the Android OS. What you will do: * Lead the Android AOSP efforts in order to build a strong and flexible foundation for our Android payments application * Engage in cross-functional conversations with product management, software engineering and hardware engineering teams to ensure the best payment experience for our merchants * Drive conversations with SOC (system on chip) vendors and terminal vendors in order to secure high performing components * Ensure software quality by using the latest technologies and frameworks in Android OS engineering * Coach team members to grow the team with the right skill set Who you are: * 5+ years of experience working with the Android OS. * In-depth understanding of the Android OS, spanning from secure boot and the Linux Kernel up to the Java Framework integration. * Proficient in C/C++. Knowledge of Java and/or Kotlin is a plus. Experience working with source control tools such as Git, Repo, Gerrit, GitHub, and with Android command line tools such as adb and fastboot. * Proven track record navigating multi-party development lifecycles, including experience with Google’s communication channels (Mailing lists, Android Security Bulletins) and compliance tools (VTS/CTS/STS). * Experience in modifying AOSP for domain specific features * Expertise in implementing and integrating HAL (HIDL/AIDL) interfaces and wrappers to bridge hardware functionality with the Android Framework. * Experience in debugging issues within the Android Framework and Linux Kernel. * Passionate about solving large scale problems and building great software for customers. The overarching goal is to ensure the Mobile Engineering team delivers scalable, secure and innovative solutions that enable financial institutions worldwide to protect their customers against fraud, malware and emerging cyber threats. As a Mobile SDK Lead at ThreatFabric, you play a key role in guiding the technical direction of our Android and iOS SDKs while remaining actively involved in development. You will work closely with Product, Research, Threat Intelligence and Engineering teams to translate innovative fraud detection capabilities into high-quality mobile security solutions. We are looking for a strong Android engineer with leadership experience who can provide technical guidance, support architectural decisions and help the team grow. Deep Android expertise is essential, while experience with iOS development is considered a strong plus. The Mobile Engineering team currently consists of four senior engineers: two Senior Android Engineers and two Senior iOS Engineers. As Mobile SDK Lead, you will serve as the technical lead for the team, helping drive architectural decisions, maintain engineering standards, mentor team members and ensure alignment across both mobile platforms. This role includes people management, you will play a key role in shaping the team and development of the teammembers alongside of steering technical direction and success of the Mobile Engineering team. About the role As an Android Engineer in SumUp's Hardware Tribe, you will be part of one of our small and highly skilled cross-functional teams and work together with Product Managers, Backend Engineers, iOS Engineers, Product Designers, and more. You will also be part of and collaborate on a global level with the broader Mobile chapter. You will deal with a variety of topics ranging from improving reliability of Bluetooth implementation within the Android SumUp app and the SumUp SDK, to implementing user-facing features such as screens to interact with card readers, to collaborating on developing technical roadmaps.
