YOUR MISSION The position name: Technical Writer / Documentation Engineer Position: Full-time | 40 hours per week Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands | Hybrid working policy (2–3 days per week in the office) Salary range: 70.000,- to 85.000,- euros annually ABOUT THE JOB We are looking for a highly skilled Technical Writer/Documentation Engineer to help us document our products, SDKs, and technical architecture. In this role, you will work closely with engineering, security, and research teams to translate complex backend systems and SDK integrations into clear, structured, and developer-friendly documentation. This is not a typical documentation role; we are looking for someone who understands modern backend architectures and developer workflows and can turn that knowledge into impactful content. RESPONSIBILITIES * Create and maintain internal and external documentation using Docusaurus among others. * Write clear and structured: * SDK integration guides (mobile and/or backend). * API documentation and onboarding materials. * Product documentation for features and workflows. * Document backend architectures, including: * Microservices environments. * Event-driven systems (e.g., Kafka). * Data flows and database interactions. * Collaborate with engineers and researchers to gather and validate technical content. * Continuously improve documentation structure, usability, and developer experience.  WHAT WE OFFER  * A 12-month employment contract with the intention to extend. WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR? Technical Skills: * Proven experience as a Technical Writer / Documentation Engineer (4+ years). * Experience creating developer documentation (APIs, SDKs, integrations, workflows). * Hands-on experience with Docusaurus or similar Docs-as-Code frameworks. * Strong ability to understand and document backend architectures (microservices, event-driven systems). * Familiarity with REST APIs, asynchronous communication, and data models. * Experience with OpenAPI/Swagger is a plus. Communication & Collaboration: * Excellent written English with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly. * Strong collaboration skills with engineers, security, and product teams. * Ability to translate technical insights into clear documentation for different audiences. Continuous Improvement: * Proactive mindset focused on improving documentation quality and developer experience. * Detail-oriented with a structured approach to complex information. Information Security, Business Continuity & Privacy: * Strong awareness and adherence to security and privacy principles. * Active engagement in maintaining secure documentation practices. You play a key role in continuously improving our mobile products, ensuring operational stability, and delivering secure, scalable solutions in an Agile environment. You will work closely with Product, Security, and Engineering teams to ensure our iOS applications meet the highest quality, security, and performance standards while delivering maximum value to end users.   Your key responsibilities will include: * Developing, managing, testing, and deploying iOS tools and features. * Delivering assigned projects on time and according to ThreatFabric standards. * Ensuring sprint tasks are completed on schedule and clearly communicating delays when applicable. * Improving and maintaining tools used to deliver commercial services. * Actively contributing to team collaboration and continuous product improvements. * Monitoring, safeguarding, and analyzing application performance and operations. * Responding promptly and effectively to customer requests, issues, and incidents. * Collaborating within Agile (SCRUM/Kanban) teams to ensure high-quality product delivery. WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR? Skills & Competencies Technical Skills * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. * Proven experience as an iOS Developer or Mobile Engineer. * Strong knowledge of Swift and native iOS development. * Solid understanding of the iOS platform, SDKs, frameworks, and device capabilities. * Ability to write clean, well-structured, and maintainable code that is easy to transfer to other engineers. * Experience working in Agile development environments (SCRUM/Kanban). * Fluency in English (spoken and written). * Strong commitment to continuous learning and professional development. * Experience developing mobile SDKs and creating robust as well as cohesive mobile APIs is nice to have. * Experience developing mobile systems that process vast amounts of data in real-time is nice to have. * Experience in Android development is nice to have.
