Som Field Service Specialist blir du en central länk mellan Metso och våra kunder. Du utgår från det lokala kontoret men tillbringar mycket av din tid ute i fält, tätt tillsammans med kunderna för att ge förstklassig support och tekniskt stöd. Position Summary As a Field Services Supervisor at Palsatech Sweden, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating field operations related to mineral exploration, drilling support, geological fieldwork, sampling programs, logistics, and other technical services. The role combines operational leadership, personnel management, health and safety responsibility, and customer engagement. You will act as the key link between clients, field personnel, subcontractors, geologists, and company management, ensuring that projects are executed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. Palsatech's service offering includes field supervision, drilling-related services, sample handling, logistics, geological services, and technical support for exploration and mining projects. Key Responsibilities Field Operations Management Plan, coordinate, and oversee field service projects throughout Sweden and Nordics. Allocate personnel, equipment, vehicles, and other resources to ongoing projects. Lead and support field teams to ensure safe and efficient execution of work. Monitor project progress, productivity, quality, and deliverables. Participate in project kick-offs, operational reviews, and risk assessments. Ensure compliance with customer requirements, company procedures, and industry standards. Personnel Management Direct management responsibility for field service employees in Sweden. Recruit, onboard, train, and develop field personnel. Conduct performance reviews and development discussions. Foster a positive, engaged, and high-performing team culture. Support employees in day-to-day operational and personnel-related matters. Ensure workforce planning aligns with project demands and business needs. Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Take overall responsibility for workplace safety and compliance within Swedish operations. Promote and maintain a strong safety culture across all field activities. Conduct risk assessments, safety audits, and workplace inspections. Investigate incidents, near misses, and non-conformities, and implement corrective actions. Ensure employees have the required certifications, training, and personal protective equipment (PPE). Drive continuous improvement in health, safety, environmental, and quality performance. Customer & Business Support Serve as the primary operational contact for customers during project execution. Build and maintain strong customer relationships. Support project planning, resource estimation, and quotation processes. Identify opportunities for business development and service improvement. Ensure high customer satisfaction through professional communication and service delivery. Qualifications Required Proven experience in a supervisory or leadership role within mining, mineral exploration, drilling, construction, industrial services, or a related field. Experience managing personnel and leading operational teams. Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations and best practices. Experience planning and coordinating personnel, equipment, and field operations. Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and leadership abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and operational planning systems. Valid driver's license (Category B). Ability to travel in Sweden and abroad. English, both written and spoken - good / excellent. Swedish, both written and spoken - intermediate Preferred Experience in mineral exploration, drilling operations, or geological field projects. Degree or technical education in geology, mining, engineering, construction, or a related discipline. Formal health and safety training. Experience working in remote or arctic environments. The role combines operational leadership, personnel management, health and safety responsibility, quality control, and customer collaboration and taking part into the actual work. You will lead a team of geotechnicians and serve as the key link between geologists, customers, project stakeholders, and company management. Your mission is to ensure that all work is carried out safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards while maintaining a productive and well-organized working environment. Key Responsibilities Operations Management Plan, coordinate, and supervise daily activities within the Palsacenter while actively contributing to core handling, sample preparation, and other geotechnical operations. Ensure efficient workflow for sample handling, core processing, storage, and related services. Allocate personnel, equipment, and work tasks according to project priorities and customer requirements. Monitor productivity, quality, and operational performance. Ensure projects and customer deliverables are completed accurately and on schedule. Maintain facilities, equipment, and work areas in a safe and organized condition. Support continuous improvement of operational processes and workflows. The Area Lead Planner will be responsible for site-based planning & scheduling, oversight, assurance and integration within the assigned project area, to execute the EPCC scope in Steel Plant in Sweden. The role will include acting as Owner's representative for planning and scheduling matters, ensuring that EPCM and contractor schedules are developed, maintained and reported in accordance with established project planning standards, methodologies, and governance requirements. The position is primarily based at the construction site and requires close engagement with field execution teams to validate progress, understand constraints, and ensure schedule performance accurately reflects site conditions. Desirable Experience Planning/Project Controls - 5 years of experience or more with large scale industrial or infrastructure projects. Strong knowledge of planning and scheduling methodologies and tools.
