As an Orthodontic Dental Assistant at Ideal Dental, you will play a vital role in supporting both our patients and clinical team throughout the orthodontic treatment process. What you'll do: * Create a welcoming environment for patients, helping them feel comfortable and confident throughout their orthodontic journey. * Support patients through complex orthodontic procedures, helping them feel informed, calm, and confident throughout their treatment experience. * Work alongside the Orthodontist to ensure precision, efficiency, and a smooth clinical experience tailored to each patient’s needs. * Educate patients on post-treatment care and recovery to promote healing and long-term oral health. * Coordinate care and follow-ups, ensuring patients receive timely treatment and clear communication throughout their visit. * Maintain detailed and accurate records to support clinical decision-making and continuity of care. * Foster a collaborative team environment by staying proactive, adaptable, and committed to delivering high-quality specialty care. * Contribute to the success of orthodontic practice by helping manage clinical readiness, patient flow, and operational support. This is a traveling position that requires travel between the following locations: * Boynton Beach 930 N Congress Avenue, Suite 200 Boynton Beach, FL 33426 * Coral Springs – Atlantic Blvd 9601 W Atlantic Boulevard Coral Springs, FL 33071 Mileage reimbursement is provided. Responsibilities: * Assist our experienced dental team in providing exceptional patient care * Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and ensure a clean and organized environment * Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-treatment care * Support dentists during procedures, anticipating their needs and ensuring smooth workflow * Perform basic dental procedures under the guidance of a licensed dentist * Manage appointment scheduling and maintain patient records accurately Qualifications: * Previous dental assisting experience or relevant education is preferred, but we're willing to train the right candidate. * Excellent organizational skills with a keen eye for detail * Strong communication skills and a friendly, compassionate demeanor * Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment * Proficiency in dental software and technology is a plus Requirements: Before applying, it is imperative that you meet the state requirements outlined below. * Connecticut: certification and proof of formal training to expose X-rays. * Florida: Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) certification and proof of formal training to expose X-rays (including FDOH Permit to expose X-rays). * Georgia: CPR Certification, Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) certification, and proof of formal training to expose X-rays. * Massachusetts: CPR Certification, proof of formal training to expose X-rays, BORID certification and annual CE requirements must be completed per state regulations. * Michigan: Upon hiring, you are required to furnish evidence of X-ray training certification.
