What you’ll do Right now, we are looking for a Maintenance Lead for our Green Iron Maintenance team. In this role you will report to our Maintenance Manager. The Maintenance Lead oversees maintenance activities within the assigned area, ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of equipment and facilities. The role leads maintenance technicians and contractors, coordinates preventive and corrective maintenance, and works closely with operations to maximise equipment reliability, minimise downtime, and support the implementation of Green Iron's maintenance standards and ways of working while driving continuous improvement. Specific to this role, the day-to-day tasks will include the following but as we are a growing company with very little silos between teams, other tasks might be included as well. Lead and coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure safe, reliable operation of equipment within the assigned area. Plan and prioritise maintenance work with Operations and the Work Planner to minimise downtime and meet production needs. Support technicians with troubleshooting, fault finding, and technical guidance during complex maintenance activities. Monitor equipment performance, identify recurring issues, and drive reliability improvements together with Operations and Engineering. Ensure maintenance is carried out safely and in compliance with procedures, including LOTO, Permit to Work, and risk assessments. Coordinate maintenance resources, contractors, spare parts, and documentation to support daily operations, shutdowns, and improvement projects. What you’ll bring Specific to this role, we would like to see that you can tick off a fair amount of the boxes below Degree or diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience. Several years of maintenance experience in an industrial process environment, including leading or coordinating maintenance work. Good knowledge of industrial maintenance, equipment reliability, and preventive maintenance practices. Strong technical understanding of rotating and static equipment, troubleshooting, and process safety. Experience with CMMS/SAP or similar maintenance systems. Good communication skills in English; Swedish is an advantage. Experience from hydrogen, petrochemical, gas processing, refinery, or similar process industries is an advantage. Professional certifications in maintenance, reliability, or safety (e.g. CMRP) are a plus.

Job Scope Why does the role exist? High level purpose of function. The Manufacturing technician is responsible for ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient production and maintenance operations. This position covers a broad technical scope, including production support, troubleshooting, preventive and corrective maintenance, and continuous improvements in mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and automation systems. Technicians act as first-line responders to equipment and process issues, ensuring minimum downtime and maximum output and high quality. Key Responsibilities Overall areas of responsibilities and activities Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to) Assure safe conditions through defined procedures (including Lock out tag out – LOTO) during equipment repairs, cleaning, or inspections. Lead process equipment commissioning, including cold and hot commissioning on-site during start-up or restart projects. Monitor, analyze and improve production KPIs, including yield, availability, and performance. Identifying top losses, production bottlenecks, and performance gaps to drive corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives. Lead root cause analysis (RCA) for equipment-related losses, minor stops, and process deviations. Define, release, and maintain manufacturing process standards and operator training programs. Train and mentor new engineers, operators and other support functions. Prepare, review, and approve documentation including (but not limited to WI, PFMEAs, commissioning checklists, project timelines, A3s). Provide technical feedback and guidance to suppliers to ensure equipment quality, compliance with specifications, and CE standards. Develop and issue DOEs (Design of Experiments) and schedule process and equipment trials onsite and at supplier sites (if required). Deliver a line capable of obtaining PPAP approval, following a structured quality gate model. Guide and mentor colleagues to industrial best practices, focusing on growth and development. Complete supplementary tasks as seen fit by management to effectively utilize time and resource for the benefit of the business. This role requires regular presence on the production floor. Requirements Educational background and previous experience required for the role Qualifications and Experience Master's degree in mechanical, electrical, or chemical engineering. Minimum of 7 years of relevant work experience in production, equipment, or engineering-related roles. Proven track record of leading manufacturing process improvements and production optimization in a factory environment following recognised project management techniques. Experience in building and scaling production in a fast-growing environment, ideally within the battery, food, pharma, paper & pulp, semiconductor, electrochemical, or similar industries. Hands-on experience and interest in equipment commissioning, troubleshooting, and optimisation. Proficient in detailed root cause analysis, structured problem-solving methodologies and continuous improvement. Familiarity with quality assurance troubleshooting tools. Experience working to industry standards obtaining certification including ISO, IATF &VDA. Experience with statistical process control and process capability analysis. Experience working with preventive maintenance strategies and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) concepts within a production environment. Experience in spare part prioritisation and stock optimisation, balancing equipment availability with cost efficiency. Specific skills & Knowledge Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. Knowledge of OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) metrics and their application in production environments. Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and six sigma methodologies. Highly autonomous with a proactive mindset and work ethic. Strong technical curiosity, analytical mindset, and business-oriented problem-solving skills. Troubleshooting skills with diagnostic equipment. Ability to document technical problems concisely. Proficient in the use of a Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for work order management, equipment data, and maintenance reporting. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 is advantageous. Experience in coaching, upskilling, and mentoring engineers or technicians, with a demonstrable commitment to developing the technical capability of others within a production environment. Excellent English skills, both written and oral, are essential. Basic Swedish and other language skills are a plus. You should have good communication skills and be able to work in close collaboration with colleagues from many different teams. Ability to work within varying environments including clean-rooms and dry-rooms, while wearing appropriate PPE. Comfortable operating in high-profile, international, and high-pressure environments. A genuine technical interest and passion about working within production is highly valued.

We are currently looking for a Service Technician to join our Backend Area, helping to ensure the uptime of our machines. Read more about Silex here. About the team The Backend area is a vital part of our production, where in the area we perform all outgoing quality control of our products, conducting electrical measurements and optical inspections. We also work with blade and stealth dicing, wafer thinning, and CMP (chemical mechanical planarization). There is a team of 19 people working in the Backend area, out of which four are working with service (three Service Technicians and one Maintenance Engineer). About the role As a Service Technician at Silex, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our high-tech equipment is operational in production through maintenance, operations, and service tasks, all conducted in cleanroom environments. The equipment you will work with involves electronics, pneumatics, mechanical systems, chemistry, and gases. You will collaborate with skilled colleagues, including area managers, process engineers, and operators. Each day begins with a handover from the previous shift, after which tasks are planned and divided among the Service Technicians. There will be a mix of planned and unplanned service activities, and we are continuously working to improve the uptime of our machinery to reduce unplanned tool stops. We want you to participate in, and help drive, continuous improvements in the area. The working hours for this position will be night shift, Monday night–Friday morning 22:30–07:00. For the first couple of months you will receive training on another shift (day, evening) and then transfer to the night shift. You will be the only Service Technician from Backend on the shift, but there will be Service Technicians present working in other areas of the fab as well as operators running our machines. In this role, you will Perform preventive maintenance on equipment. Carry out diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on machinery. Be responsible for scheduled and unscheduled service activities. Coordinate service activities within the area alongside the area manager and other service technicians. Support new installations as well as modifications and upgrades of existing machines. Ensure that equipment and machinery follow Silex’s policies for providing a safe work environment. We are looking for someone who Has 3+ years' work experience in equipment service and maintenance within an industrial environment. Can troubleshoot effectively, using both electrical and mechanical understanding of the equipment. Is able to read electrical drawings and use them to aid in troubleshooting. Has good reading skills in Swedish; speaking Swedish is an advantage. Is proficient in English, both written and spoken. Is able to work independently and lead oneself. Works in a meticulous, structured, and detail-oriented way. Has the drive and curiosity to learn and grow together with Silex.
