SUMMARY OF THE ROLE: At Maze, we're building AI-powered vulnerability management at a moment when generative AI is fundamentally changing what's possible in cybersecurity. Our engineering team is small, fast, and technically elite — and we're hiring an Engineering Director who is the same. This is not a coordination role. It is a senior technical leadership role for someone who earns respect by being on the tools, thinks deeply about architecture, and happens to be exceptional at growing engineers and running a high-performance org. You'll work in close partnership with our CTO, Santiago, taking ownership of a growing set of teams and tech leads as we scale from 20 to 35+ engineers. Your success will be measured the same way everyone's is at Maze: by the customer value and revenue impact of what your teams ship — not by process compliance, headcount growth, or delivery cadence. You'll have genuine accountability over a portion of the engineering org, with tech leads reporting to you, and you'll be expected to know your teams' codebases well enough to make good decisions, spot problems early, and earn the trust of every engineer who works with you. The person we're looking for has probably been the most senior technical person in a fast-moving 10–20 person engineering team — a CTO, VP, or Head of Engineering at a startup — and is ready to bring that energy and credibility to a company with more firepower behind it. If you want to stay close to the code, grow exceptional engineers, and help shape an org that will define how AI-native security companies are built, this is that role. YOUR CONTRIBUTIONS TO OUR JOURNEY: * Own engineering leadership for a growing portion of our org: Take clear accountability for a set of small, high-output product teams (typically 3–5 engineers each), with tech leads reporting directly to you. Ensure every team has unambiguous priorities, strong support, and everything they need to move fast. * Stay close to the technical work: Engage directly with architecture decisions, code reviews, and technical discussions across your teams. We expect you to spend meaningful time understanding what each team is building — not as a gatekeeper, but as a trusted technical voice who can contribute, challenge, and improve. * Grow the engineering leaders of Maze's future: Take ownership of career development, performance management, and coaching for tech leads and senior engineers in your teams. Build the kind of trust with engineers that comes from genuinely knowing their work, their growth areas, and their ambitions — not from generic 1:1s. * Drive cross-team coordination without creating bureaucracy: Own the planning and coordination layer that keeps multiple small teams aligned and unblocked. Keep it lightweight, decision-focused, and in service of engineering velocity — not process for its own sake. * Lead technical hiring: Take ownership of engineering hiring within your area, from defining the bar and shaping interview processes to closing exceptional candidates. The quality of who we hire is one of the highest-leverage things either of us can do. * Build the org we need to scale: Work closely with Santiago to design team structures, identify emerging leaders from within, and evolve how we operate as the team doubles. We grow leaders from the inside where we can — you'll be central to identifying, developing, and empowering the next generation. * Maintain technical excellence as we grow: Partner with tech leads to uphold code quality, shared engineering practices, and high standards across the org — without letting process replace judgment. WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL: * Technical credibility that engineers will respect: A strong engineering background with the ability to meaningfully engage in architecture discussions, code reviews, and technical decisions. You don't need to be the best coder in the room, but you need to be in the room for the right reasons. * Experience as the most senior technical leader of a small, high-output team: You've been a CTO, VP Engineering, or Head of Engineering at a startup — or a tech lead in a similarly fast-moving environment — where you were accountable for both technical outcomes and the people delivering them. You know what it looks like to lead 10–20 engineers, not just manage them. * Genuine people leadership, not just org design: A proven track record of performance management, career development, and growing engineers into leaders. You've had hard conversations, made difficult calls, and built cultures where high performance and high support coexist. * The hands-on instinct: You're drawn to being close to the work. You'd rather understand a problem by reading the code than by reading a status update. You see "staying technical" as a feature of your leadership style, not a tension with it. * Comfort with small-team operating models: Experience working in environments where teams are lean, fast, and expected to figure things out — not environments where scale compensates for speed. You know how to get a lot done with a little. * Strong hiring instincts: You've been deeply involved in engineering hiring — defining the bar, building processes, closing candidates — and you have strong opinions about what great looks like. * A business owner's mindset: You measure yourself by customer outcomes and revenue impact. You push your teams to understand why they're building what they're building, not just how. * Nice to Haves: * Experience in cybersecurity, AI, or security tooling — or a genuine interest in the domain and willingness to go deep quickly. * Founder or early-stage startup experience, particularly having built an engineering org from a small base. * Familiarity with agentic AI systems, LLMs, or ML-adjacent engineering — not as a researcher, but as someone who's built or led teams building on top of these technologies. * Experience managing distributed teams. WHY JOIN US: * Ambitious challenge: We're using generative AI — LLMs and agents — to solve some of the most pressing problems in cybersecurity today. The engineering challenges are genuinely hard, the domain matters, and we're early enough that the architectural decisions you make will define the platform for years. * Expert team: We are a team of hands-on leaders with experience at Big Tech and high-growth scale-ups, including teams behind multiple acquisitions and an IPO. We hire for quality over speed and it shows. * Impactful work: Cybersecurity is a force for good. The products your teams build directly help security teams protect their organisations against real attacks. The mission isn't decorative. * Build an AI-native engineering org from the ground up: We're designing the team structure, culture, and ways of working with a blank sheet of paper, in an era where agentic coding tools are changing what small teams can accomplish. You'll shape that from the start. * Real ownership and a clear growth path: You'll have genuine accountability over a meaningful portion of the organisation from day one, with a direct partnership with Santiago and significant equity upside as we scale.
Principal Java Engineer - Backend Platform Salary: £76,340 - £100,340 Per Annum Contract: Full-Time, Permanent Location: Hybrid - minimum 2 days per week in office, Basingstoke/London/Bristol ABOUT THE ROLE The Principal Software Engineer (Full-Stack, Backend-leaning) is a senior engineer responsible for the backend architecture, data pipelines, and API layer of a new sports technology product, while remaining capable of contributing to frontend development as needed. This role sits within a small, fast-moving product engineering team and requires someone comfortable owning end-to-end technical delivery across the stack, with backend and data work as the primary focus. WHAT YOU’LL BUILD You will be a core contributor to a new backend platform being built from scratch. The work spans the full data journey - from ingestion at the edge through to storage, transformation, and delivery to end users. Key areas of focus include: * Low-latency data pipelines that ingest and process live sports tracking data, with strict latency requirements for time-critical outputs delivered to coaches and analysts in near real-time. * Event-driven processing using Kafka for streaming data and control messages between on-site devices and cloud services, handling both fast-path live outputs and asynchronous post-processing workflows via SQS and AWS Batch. * Cloud infrastructure on AWS, including Greengrass for edge-to-cloud orchestration, S3 for video and data storage, and Lambda for lightweight processing tasks. * Data transformation and aggregation layers that normalise tracking outputs, store them in a data lake, and make them available to downstream consumers via clean API contracts. * REST and WebSocket APIs that serve both a live data product for immediate consumption and an insights portal for historical analysis and performance comparison. * Observability and reliability - instrumentation, logging, and tracing are built in from the start, not bolted on. The platform needs to run 24/7 without on-site support. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES * Design and build backend services and APIs (REST/WebSocket) supporting data ingestion, transformation, and delivery to frontend and downstream consumers, with particular attention to latency and throughput given real-time processing requirements. * Own data storage and pipeline architecture, including integration with streaming/event infrastructure. * Implement authentication and authorisation in line with the team's chosen cloud identity and access management approach. * Provide technical direction and review for frontend development (React/TypeScript), working closely with frontend engineers to align on approach, component contracts, and data shapes - this is a collaboration and oversight function rather than day-to-day frontend delivery. * Collaborate closely with computer vision/data science engineers to define and consume data contracts. * Participate in technical decision-making for a product in active development, including architecture choices with long-term implications for scale, latency, and maintainability. * Contribute to technical leadership of the wider engineering team, given the seniority of this role. SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE * Strong backend engineering background with production experience in Java (required). * Demonstrated experience building low-latency, high-throughput systems - this is a core requirement, not a nice-to-have. * Working knowledge of a modern frontend framework such as React/TypeScript, sufficient to review and direct frontend work rather than deliver it independently. * Experience with cloud infrastructure and event-driven architectures (e.g. Kafka or equivalent streaming technology). * Experience designing and evolving API contracts (OpenAPI or similar) in a fast-moving, still-evolving product environment. * Familiarity with modern cloud identity and access management approaches (e.g. AWS Cognito or equivalent) is a plus. * Strong communication skills - able to work directly with product and cross-functional stakeholders, and to mentor or direct engineers outside their own core discipline. * Comfortable with ambiguity: this is a build-phase product with evolving scope and infrastructure decisions still being finalised. BENEFITS AND PERKS * 25 days annual leave (excluding bank holidays) * Enhanced pension scheme with 5% matching * Hybrid working model * Complimentary Unmind wellbeing app * Onsite gym (Basingstoke) * Access to sporting events and tickets * Sony Group Company discounts EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER Hawk-Eye is committed to fostering an inclusive and diverse workplace. We ensure all employees are treated fairly, regardless of gender, marital status, race, nationality, religion, age, disability, or union membership. We value diversity and strive to create an environment where everyone can reach their full potential. APPLY TODAY If you are passionate about building high-performance backend systems and want to work on real-time data products at scale, we would love to hear from you.

TL;DR → You design and build production-grade RAG and agentic AI systems end-to-end. From use-case definition through to a working interface in users' hands. → Consulting across the Nordics, with clients spanning industries from financial services to manufacturing. → You work in cross-functional delivery teams alongside Data Engineers and Platform Engineers, each owning a distinct layer of the stack. → Certifications without a debate. Colleagues who are obsessed with the craft. Freedom to grow your way. What you'll do As a GenAI Developer, you own the AI application layer end-to-end: the systems that ingest, retrieve, reason, and respond, plus the lightweight interfaces that put them in front of users. You're the person closest to the end customer. You turn a business problem into a working use-case, from gathering requirements and aligning stakeholders to shipping a production system people actually use. You come in before the solution is defined. Together with the client, you shape what gets built, then you build it. You work alongside Data Engineers and Platform Engineers, each owning a distinct layer of the stack. Your layer is where the model meets the business problem, and where the user meets the product. A few examples of what this looks like in practice: A production RAG system for a financial services client, letting internal teams navigate regulatory documentation using generative AI. From ingestion through to answer generation, quality evaluation, and a lightweight front-end for day-to-day use. An agentic AI solution in the FinOps space, applying LLM reasoning over infrastructure data to drive cloud cost optimization beyond what rule-based tooling can handle. AI capability building at enterprise clients: use-case workshops, requirements definition, and architecture advisory on agents and coding tools for senior technical audiences. The bar for what "done" means here is high: production-grade, observable, secure and used. What you get Assignments that accelerate you. Every 6–18 months you're in a new engagement. New industry, new architecture decisions, new stakeholders to earn trust from. You'll face more distinct technical challenges in two years here than most engineers see in five. Work that's hard to come by elsewhere. Agentic AI in enterprise environments is one of the most technically demanding spaces in the industry right now. The problems here aren't solved yet, and you'll be among the people solving them. Your direction, your call. Want to go deep technically and become the go-to person for enterprise AI architecture? Go for it. Want to lead client engagements, own stakeholder relationships and drive use-cases from discovery to production? Also go for it. Both paths are real and equally valued. People who make you better. The people here are genuinely passionate about technology, not as a job, but as something they care about. Engineers who go deep because they want to, follow the space obsessively, and get restless when things stop moving. That's what keeps Redeploy consistently ahead, and it's what you'll feel from day one. The perks. 30 days vacation · hybrid work and flexible hours · private medical insurance · pension (ITP1) · wellness allowance 5,000 SEK · free choice of tools and tech · free breakfast, soda and snacks · yearly gatherings and AW's · a team with genuine interests outside work — gaming, food, running, padel, golf, football, cycling. Who you are You care whether your AI systems actually work, not just whether they run, and you have an instinct for finding failure modes before they reach production. You care about how users interact with it, and you don't consider a use-case done until it's working end-to-end, interface included. You might come from a fullstack engineering or traditional ML/Data background. What matters is that you're already building AI solutions, whether that's a side project, a POC, or a deep dive into a new framework. Curiosity is a given. The question is whether you act on it. You like being close to the people who'll use what you build. You can run a requirements workshop, figure out what a stakeholder actually needs versus what they asked for, and explain why a retrieval pipeline is underperforming, all with the same clarity. What you bring Strong requirements engineering and stakeholder management skills, you can drive a use-case from problem definition to delivery, keeping technical and non-technical audiences aligned throughout Strong Python skills and solid software engineering fundamentals: clean code, testing, version control, system design Production experience with RAG architectures: chunking strategies, embedding models, vector search, hybrid retrieval, reranking, and retrieval evaluation Hands-on experience with agentic frameworks such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, AutoGen, or CrewAI, including tool use, memory management, and multi-agent orchestration Experience with Azure AI Services or Azure OpenAI, including integration across Azure services in production environments Ability to build lightweight front-end interfaces for AI applications to make prototypes and internal tools usable beyond the terminal Strong plus: multi-agent architecture design, front-end development skills (React, Streamlit, or similar), containerization and MLOps awareness, experience in regulated industries, Azure AI-102 certification, prior consulting experience, Swedish language skills. About Redeploy Redeploy is where cloud, data, and AI come together in production. We help Nordic enterprises design, build, and operate modern tech platforms and AI solutions that are secure, scalable, and production-ready. Engineers at heart, we work hands-on across Azure, AWS, and Databricks from strategy to operations.

ABOUT THE ROLE We are seeking a hands-on, technically fluent engineer to drive the adoption of AI across our entire development organization - someone who finds the friction in how teams work and turns it into automated, AI-powered solutions. As our AI Enablement Engineer, you will embed with engineering and product teams to identify where AI can remove repetitive, manual work, then build and ship the solutions that make it happen. You will work closely with our AI Efficiency Architects and AI Evangelist to turn high-level AI strategy into concrete, measurable wins on the ground. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, moves fast, and gets real satisfaction from seeing their work adopted and relied upon by teams across the company. Your Mission Accelerate how the entire development organization works by finding high-impact use cases for AI, building the solutions that automate them, and spreading those wins so they scale across teams. YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR: Use Case Discovery: work directly with engineering and product teams to map their workflows, spot repetitive or slow processes, and identify the highest-impact opportunities for AI-driven automation across the development organization. Rapid Prototyping & Delivery: act as a builder - lead the technical design and implementation of working solutions such as prompt workflows, lightweight agents, scripts, and integrations that prove value fast, then partnering with the AI Efficiency Architects to harden anything that needs to run in production. Reusable Enablement Assets: create templates, playbooks, and repeatable patterns so a proven AI win can spread from one team to many without bespoke work each time. Adoption & Measurement: drive genuine adoption of AI tooling across teams and tie every solution back to concrete outcomes - time saved, throughput, and delivery speed - so impact is visible and quantifiable to leadership. Feedback to the Platform: surface recurring needs and friction back to the AI Efficiency Architects, so the internal AI gateway and tooling evolve toward what teams actually need. Technical Mentorship & Influence: mentor senior engineers on AI best practices and influence engineering roadmaps. OUR SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING: ESSENTIAL SKILLS Staff-Level Engineering Foundations: 8+ years of professional software engineering experience (Java, Python, Go, or TypeScript) with a proven track record of delivering complex, distributed systems in a production environment. Production-Ready AI Expertise: Deep, hands-on experience moving AI from a cool prototype to a real-world tool. You don’t just write basic prompts - you know how to build reliable agents and RAG workflows, and you understand the practical side of LLMs, like managing costs, speed, and context limits to make tools actually work for production. Strategic Problem-Solving: You have a strong bias for action and can take a vague problem and turn it into a working solution fast. While you focus on delivering value quickly rather than chasing perfection, you always think big - building smart, reusable tools that fix root problems for hundreds of developers, not just one team. Collaboration & Communication: excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work alongside many different teams, understand their needs, and bring them along on the adoption journey. SDLC/DevOps Familiarity: working knowledge of the tools that underpin the software delivery lifecycle (e.g., GitLab/GitHub, CI/CD pipelines, source control) so that solutions fit naturally into how teams already work. Self-Direction: capacity to manage a varied portfolio of work across multiple teams, prioritize for impact, and deliver with minimal supervision. NICE TO HAVES Excellent presentation and training skills Previous experience running enablement, developer experience, or internal tooling initiatives WHO WE ARE At the core of LeoVegas Group is Team Leo. We're building the data stack for Physical AI. The Rerun SDK viewer is loved by some of the best robotics and spatial AI teams in the world, and Rerun Hub is live in private preview managing petabytes of data. Demand is strong and we need a sharp, high agency operator to own the high leverage work that turns demand into a business. This is a generalist role at its core and you'll spend most of your time on go-to-market and business operations, but the real job is spotting what's broken or missing and fixing it before anyone asks. This is a true build and ship role. If you like owning messy, ambiguous problems end to end and seeing your work in the numbers, you'll do well here. We have a strong preference for this person to be based in Stockholm. It's where our founders are based, so you'd get lots of in-person time with them. What you'll work on * Getting things done: Collaborate with the founders to set priorities and then go make them happen. The scope of this role will keep changing as the company grows. * Go-to-market execution: Keep our sales ops running cleanly, support founder-led sales into top Physical AI companies, and support our marketing efforts across socials and at industry events. * Business operations: Help us spend wisely through budgeting, forecasting, and resource planning, and build the lightweight systems and processes a fast-growing company needs. * Investor Relations: Maintain strong relationships with existing and potential investors through structured updates and insights into company progress. * Market intelligence: Stay on top of a fast-moving industry and turn research into decisions the team can act on. Who you are * Required: 3-5 years across fast-paced, high-impact environments such as an early-stage startup in a GTM, Sales ops, growth, or BizOps role. Bonus points: a technical or engineering degree, sharpened in consulting, then put to work building in startup life. It's not required, but it's the shape of person who tends to thrive here. * A bias for action. You'd rather ship something and iterate alongside, than wait for the perfect plan. * Comfortable in ambiguity. You take a vague problem, scope it, and own it to completion without being managed. * A natural at stakeholder management and communication; you can write a crisp investor update and chase a sales contract in the same afternoon. * Technically fluent enough to be credible with a deeply technical team and our physical AI customers. An engineering or technical background is a strong plus. How we work at Rerun * We're a remote company headquartered in Stockholm, Sweden. * We meet up in person for a week roughly once a quarter * The team you'll join has members in European and US-east timezones * Everyone is available for synchronous work between 1:30–5:00pm CET. Given our current team distribution, candidates outside of Europe or the US will be considered on a case-by-case basis to ensure there’s enough overlap for effective collaboration. * We've put together an uncommonly talented tech team, value agency and helpfulness highly, and expect everyone to take broad responsibility for what they build * We offer competitive cash and equity compensation, six weeks paid vacation, and whatever hardware and software you need to do your job
