Get ready for an exciting journey with our Supply Chain Apprenticeship! This program will immerse you in the fascinating world of
our business and supply chain, giving you a comprehensive understanding of how everything works together. You’ll have the chance
to explore various departments and areas of the supply chain, discovering how each component seamlessly fits into the bigger
picture and contributes to our overall success.
You’ll also dive into our ERP system and the MRP tools used for planning, gaining valuable insights into the importance of setting
the right parameters. By collaborating closely with our suppliers and production team, you will build strong relationships and see
first-hand how supply chain challenges, like late deliveries, can impact production and supplier delivery performance.

Reporting to the Fleet Services Supervisor, this position is well suited for individuals with strong mechanical aptitude and a commitment to quality workmanship. Shift available: Weekdays: Tuesday to Friday, 3:00pm to 1:00am Ready to make an impact? Here’s how: Trouble shoot and inspect trucks and trailers using computerized and other testing methods to determine the extent of repair. Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts, components or systems as required meeting deadlines as scheduled. Test repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that work meets manufacturers' specifications. Perform and complete maintenance & mechanical services for assigned equipment including vehicle defect reports & scheduled maintenance. Follow Preventative Maintenance schedule and services as assigned to ensure maintenance repairs are completed and documented in accordance with the Highway Traffic Act Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on equipment including service attachments and working tools. Perform duties on occasion to support the Lead Hand and/or Supervisor, including lockout procedures and defect updates. Follow HH communication procedures if equipment is not available due to service or repair and communicate equipment availability to parties directly affected by maintenance and repairs including, but not limited to Supervisor(s), Truck Drivers and Dispatch. Participate in the on-call rotation. Perform other shop related duties as assigned, including flexibility to cover vacations. We’re looking for: Heavy Equipment Technician - Truck and Trailer Mechanic or 310T Red seal certification, Commercial Driver’s License (with Air Brake Endorsement considered an asset) At minimum must possess a Class G/5 license. Basic office computer program knowledge. Ability to work independently ensuring all Health and Safety procedures are followed. Able to perform the physical duties of the role including prolonged periods of time standing, bending, crouching, and lifting up to 50 lbs. or more. Completion or continuing an apprenticeship program or combination of work experience in the trade. A College Diploma in Automotive, Heavy Duty Mechanic or Truck and Trailer Mechanic is preferred.
