About the role

To support this strategy, the Business Application IT team operates as a product‑oriented IT organization. Delivery is structured around: * Product Domains, accountable for product development and functional value * Roll-out Projects, responsible for large-scale, multi-country deployments and product implementation. The Test Engineer plays a central role in the global roll-out of business-critical solutions. You are responsible for managing testing activities to support either Roll-out or Products development. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Responsibilities * Lead, plan and govern test activities and supporting test resources across projects * Write project test plan, define the test scope and estimate test hours within each project and administration * Understand what and how extensive the tests should be along with review process * Coordinate System integration and Acceptance testing across multiple systems and integrations * Responsible for platform test environments and test data in the environment * Write test cases, prioritize, and monitor test execution during acceptance testing and end to end testing * Mange and prepare test data in timely manner before test execution begins * Responsible for test documentation (test plan, test case, error report, test report and status report) * Create traceability between requirements, test cases and error reports * Monitor, plan and ensure errors found during testing are corrected and retested * Drive continuous improvement in test processes and quality assurance principles ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Requirements * An academic degree in Computer Science or technology or equivalent Work experience in test management (7+ years in similar roles, preferred 10+ years) * Experience with Oracle ERP/ Finance or HR modules is highly desirable and is added advantage * Good communication skills and be fluent in written and spoken English * Experience in formal test processes, test governance and related test strategy * Experience of system development, preferably where agile methods have been applied * ISTQB certifications in test management * Strong understanding of large IT Project Management, Integration and/or Business Application * Demonstrated experience leading UAT testing * Experience of test tools such as HP Quality Center/ALM, JIRA, Azure devops or other test management tools * Being self-driven and have the ability to execute assignments independently * Ability to work with demanding users in a high-pressure environment ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This role is open for candidates based in Warsaw, Poland (Hybrid model) or Poland remotely (1 day per month You will need to visit Warsaw). ROLE OVERVIEW Alpha FMC is a specialist consulting firm focused on digital and operational transformation for Asset and Wealth Management, Alternative Investments, and Insurance clients worldwide. Our EPM practice is a fast-growing, collaborative team delivering high-quality solutions across platforms including Anaplan, Pigment, and Workiva. The Solution Architect is a senior technical and client-facing role responsible for leading EPM design and delivery. You will shape architectural approaches, lead model-building teams through agile delivery, and serve as the primary technical voice with clients. This includes designing and documenting the future-state operating model, including how new processes, data sources, and workflows connect through the EPM solution. Where system capabilities and client specifications diverge, you will propose pragmatic workarounds. REQUIREMENTS DOCUMENTATION You will lead requirements gathering and maintain documentation discipline throughout the delivery lifecycle. User Stories are captured in JIRA. As part of this process, you will examine existing systems to identify improvement and integration opportunities. BUILD TEAM LEADERSHIP You will direct and oversee model builders throughout the development lifecycle, including: * Ensuring specifications and requirements are clearly articulated to the build team * Monitoring sprint progress and adherence to timelines * Resolving technical blockers and answering build-phase questions as they arise * Acting as a liaison between client-facing personnel and model builders * Keeping the Project Manager informed of progress, risks, and issues CLIENT ENGAGEMENT You will engage directly with client stakeholders throughout the project, from discovery through to deployment. This includes preparing and presenting sprint reviews, progress updates, integration reports, and demonstrations. You should be equally comfortable communicating with business sponsors and technical counterparts. You will also receive evolving requirements from clients during delivery and work with the Project Manager to prioritise and re-plan accordingly.. PRACTICE DEVELOPMENT At both Manager and Senior Manager level, Solution Architects are expected to broaden their platform knowledge beyond their primary specialism, contributing to Alpha's multi-platform EPM capability. Contributions to internal knowledge management, methodology development, and team development are an active expectation of the role. REQUIREMENTS EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS * University degree or equivalent professional qualification * Anaplan Anaplan Solution Architect Certified and/or Pigment Pro Certified * Strong consulting background, or 2-4 years of managing Anaplan/Pigment platforms in internal Finance teams * Demonstrable experience in requirements gathering, documentation, and scoping across complex programmes * Desired: Financial modelling experience in Private Markets, Asset Management or Insurance. You’ll typically provide technical leadership for one or more multidisciplinary teams delivering small to medium projects, or with the support of a Principal Architect on advisory engagements or larger programmes of work.
