ABOUT THE ROLE Do you want to architect, develop, and take technical ownership of modern cloud Digital Workplace platforms while remaining hands-on, managing daily operations and handling routine workplace IT tasks? The IT Operations team is currently scaling our responsibilities and operations. While Storytel’s core IT landscape is primarily built around Google Workspace and macOS, we are in an exciting phase where we are taking over the IT responsibility for companies within the group that mainly operate on Microsoft 365. We are looking for this role to act as the technical bridge for this expansion, which brings an exciting increase in technical complexity, multi-tenant environments, and global reach. In this role, you will step into a vital and highly versatile position. While your primary focus will be acting as our internal driver for MDM and Microsoft 365 governance, this is a broad role where you will manage and work across a wide array of different systems, applications, processes, and projects. Simultaneously, you will remain hands-on, supporting the team in daily operations and taking ownership of Workplace IT. Growth & Opportunities For an ambitious candidate who successfully takes ownership and elevates our MDM and M365 environments, there are great opportunities to gradually shape the role and dive deeper into specialized infrastructure engineering and governance as our landscape evolves. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES * MDM Evolution & Management: Take ownership of managing and developing our device management across our hybrid device fleet with Microsoft Intune and Jamf. You will architect, build, and maintain secure device configurations while also focusing on creating a great user experience with a distinct Storytel look and feel across all endpoints. * M365 & Identity Governance: Architect, configure, and manage our Microsoft 365 environments within a complex multi-tenant structure. These environments are tightly integrated with Okta as part of an advanced identity architecture, utilizing HRiS as a Source * SaaS System Administration: Daily administration, user lifecycle management, and optimization of various SaaS systems used and provided across the group. * IT Projects & Continuous Improvement: Actively lead and execute various internal IT projects. You will be a driving force behind onboarding new group environments and constantly leveling up our technical setup. * Vendor Management & Procurement: Manage relationships and contracts with external IT vendors, hardware suppliers, and SaaS providers. You will oversee software licensing, optimize procurement processes, and ensure we partner with the right external stakeholders. Operational & Workplace Responsibilities * Office & AV technology: Driving the continuous improvement and development of our office technology and meeting rooms, while overseeing daily operations and support * IT-Equipment Management: Managing IT equipment lifecycle operations (procurement, inventory logistics, and on/offboarding setups) for a device fleet consisting primarily of MacBooks, alongside an increasing number of Windows devices. * Daily IT-support: Handling a broad variety of daily support requests from our end-users, both on-site and remote. Ranging from complex technical troubleshooting to routine, autopilot tasks REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS * Technical Experience: At least 3–5 years of experience working within IT operations, modern workplace management, or system administration. * MDM & M365 Expertise: Proven experience configuring and administering Microsoft Intune (device configuration, compliance policies, deployment) and managing Microsoft 365 environments. Experience with multi-tenant setups is a major plus. * Hands-on IT Support: Solid experience handling day-to-day workplace IT, end-user support, and hardware lifecycle management. * Advanced Workstation & OS Expertise: Deep technical knowledge of both Windows and macOS ecosystems, naturally becoming the go-to person in the team for anything related to computer management and troubleshooting. * Bonus Platform Knowledge: Experience with Okta, Google Workspace and Jamf is a strong advantage. * Language: Professional fluency in English, both written and spoken. As a Senior IT-Operations Specialist, you will balance a mix of both technical support and system administration, ensuring the smooth operation of both end-user devices and network infrastructure. You will be responsible for troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues across a multi-operating system environment, including Microsoft Windows, macOS, and Linux (a small minority). Additionally, you will play a key role in onboarding new employees, provisioning system accounts, maintaining IT inventory, and managing vendor relationships, all while ensuring compliance with ISO standards. What you’ll do:  * End-User Support – provide IT support for employees..  * New Employee Onboarding – set up and configure laptops, user accounts, and system access for new hires, ensuring a smooth onboarding experience. * Network & System Administration – configure and troubleshoot routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points. * User Account & Access Management – provision and deactivate system accounts, email accounts, and application access, ensuring ISO compliance * Hardware & Software Inventory Management – maintain an up-to-date inventory of IT assets, including laptops, peripherals, and software licenses * Software & License Management – purchase, renew, and track software licenses and IT assets to ensure compliance and availability * Vendor & Procurement Management – coordinate with vendors for hardware/software purchases, IT services, and contract renewals * System Security & Compliance – ensure IT operations align with ISO certification requirements, access control policies, security best practices, and IT governance * Documentation & Process Improvement – maintain IT documentation, update asset records, and contribute to process enhancements to meet compliance and audit requirements What you bring in:  * Strong Communication & Customer Service Skills – ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users and provide excellent support * IT Support & Troubleshooting Expertise – proven ability to provide IT support in a multi-OS environment (Windows, macOS, Linux) with a strong understanding of hardware, software, and peripheral troubleshooting * Systems Administration Knowledge – hands-on experience managing user accounts, system access, and authentication protocols (Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, or similar) * Networking Knowledge & Administration – understanding of network fundamentals, including LAN management, VLAN configuration, switch setup, and WiFi network troubleshooting * Network Monitoring & Troubleshooting – ability to monitor network performance, diagnose LAN issues, and resolve connectivity problems It would be great if you also have: * Basic knowledge of GCP - be able to conduct access reviews, provisioning of access and similar administrative tasks.  * Firewall & Security Awareness – familiarity with pfSense or similar firewall solutions for managing network security and traffic rules * Virtualization & Infrastructure – understanding of virtual machines (VMs) and experience with Xen or similar virtualization platform What we offer:  We support growth through learning resources, leadership programs, mentoring, and real hands-on work.
