At Snowflake, we are powering the era of the agentic enterprise. To usher in this new era, we seek AI-native thinkers across every function who are energized by the opportunity to reinvent how they work. You don’t just use tools; you possess an innate curiosity, treating AI as a high-trust collaborator that is core to how you solve problems and accelerate your impact. We look for low-ego individuals who thrive in dynamic and fast-moving environments and move with an experimental mindset — who rapidly test emerging capabilities to discover simpler, more powerful ways to deliver results. At Snowflake, your role isn't just to execute a function, but to help redefine the future of how work gets done. We are looking for a Migrations Solutions Architect, Sales to join our Services Delivery Migrations team in Australia. In this role, you will own the end-to-end pre-sales migration motion for Snowflake across Australia — shaping opportunities, scoping complex workloads, and driving technical and economic deal reviews. This is a high-visibility, strategic individual contributor role at a company leaning hard into AI-accelerated migrations. The person we're looking for is a data specialist, technically deep, commercially sharp, and customer-obsessed. You are energized by the challenge of translating complex legacy data environments into compelling migration strategies, and you know how to bring both executives and engineers along for the ride. You thrive at the intersection of pre-sales and delivery, and you're excited to apply AI-first tooling to change what's possible in migration speed and scale. Hybrid working between home and office, with travel for customer workshops and team engagements as needed within Australia and APJ region. Must have full working rights within Australia. AS A MIGRATIONS SOLUTIONS ARCHITECT, SALES, YOU WILL: * Own the full pre-sales migration cycle for Australia: opportunity shaping, technical scoping, effort estimation, and economic deal reviews * Act as the primary technical advisor to customers evaluating Snowflake migration — engaging both technical and executive stakeholders with clarity and confidence * Partner with APJ sales executives and account teams on migration opportunity development and overall account strategy * Apply AI-first tooling — SnowConvert (deterministic) paired with Cortex Code (LLM-powered) — to accelerate migration assessments, delivery estimations, and proposal quality * Scope ETL and data migration complexity across a range of legacy tools and platforms (Informatica, SSIS, Teradata, Netezza, etc.) * Collaborate with Practice Directors and Practice Managers to develop proposals, Statements of Work, and migration delivery plans for both packaged and custom engagements * Hands-on delivery of customers migrations to the Snowflake AI Data Cloud (Approximate 60/40 split Migration Sales/Delivery) * Contribute to APJ Migrations team capability by sharing patterns, playbooks, accelerators developed through customer engagements * Build trust and credibility through on-site workshops, architecture reviews, and technical demonstrations * Collect and communicate themes from customer engagements to inform the evolution of Snowflake's migration service offerings * Create and sharpen repeatable assets — scoping frameworks, estimation models, and delivery documentation — that scale the team's capacity OUR IDEAL MIGRATIONS SOLUTIONS ARCHITECT, SALES WILL HAVE: * University degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related field — or equivalent experience * Minimum 8 years of experience in a solutions architect, data architect, or data engineering role, with significant exposure to data warehouse migration * Demonstrated pre-sales or solution engineering experience: scoping, estimating, and presenting migration proposals directly to customers * Hands-on experience with SQL, ETL transformation, and cloud data warehousing (Snowflake strongly preferred) * Familiarity with legacy ETL tools such as Fivetran, Informatica and IBM Datastage experience particularly valued * Experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP) * Customer-facing presence: can lead scoping conversations, influence technical and executive stakeholders, and close with confidence * AI-first mindset — experience applying LLMs, automation, or code generation tooling to engineering or delivery problems, working smart to accelerate technical delivery while mitigating AI-related delivery risks. * Strong understanding of the complete data analytics stack: from ETL/ELT through platform design to BI and analytics consumption * Impeccable communication skills — written, visual, and oral — across audiences from hands-on engineers to C-suite * Highly self-motivated and driven to succeed and operate within a high performance, customer-obsessed culture. BONUS POINTS FOR: * Hands-on experience with SnowConvert, Cortex Code, or similar migration acceleration tooling * Experience with non-relational or big data platforms (Hadoop, HBase, Spark) * Data expertise and pre-sales exposure working within Cloud Hyperscalers (AWS, Azure, GCP) * Big 5 or boutique consulting background with enterprise pre-sales exposure * Expertise in a core vertical such as Financial Services, Retail, Healthcare, or Life Sciences * Current certifications in cloud provider (AWS, Azure, GCP) or cloud data technologies (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, Synapse, Databricks) * Familiarity with BI and data exploration tools (Tableau, Looker, MicroStrategy) WHY THIS ROLE? * Own the motion. You'll define how Snowflake approaches migration pre-sales across Australia — a greenfield, high-impact mandate. * Shape the future. Direct line to leadership, player-coach potential, and room to influence how the APJ Migrations team scales. * Work with cutting-edge tooling. Apply SnowConvert + Cortex Code to bring AI-accelerated migration to customers at scale. * Join a team that's building something. This is a strategic investment in a market where Snowflake is leaning in hard — and you'll help lead it. Snowflake is growing fast, and we’re scaling our team to help enable and accelerate our growth. We are looking for people who share our values, challenge ordinary thinking, and push the pace of innovation while building a future for themselves and Snowflake. How do you want to make your impact?
