We're looking for a visionary Denim Designer with a strong creative point of view, exceptional product knowledge, and an instinct for what's next. In this role, you'll create collections that define the balance between timeless denim essentials and fashion-forward statement pieces, translating emerging trends into desirable products for millions of customers around the world.
Working at the heart of our Womenswear Denim team, you'll drive the creative development of silhouettes, fits, washes, fabric innovations, and finishes, building collections that are both trend-relevant and commercially impactful. From concept to final product, you'll collaborate closely with Product Developers, Planners, and global suppliers to bring modern denim stories to life at scale.
We're looking for a designer who lives and breathes denim—someone with a sharp fashion eye, a deep understanding of construction and craftsmanship, and the confidence to challenge conventions while delivering for a global customer. You'll thrive in a fast-moving, close-to-season environment, combining creativity with commercial awareness to create products that inspire.
What you'll bring
BA/MA in Fashion or Textile Design, or equivalent experience
At least 3 years' experience designing denim within womenswear
Deep expertise in denim fabrics, garment construction, washes, finishes, and fit development
Experience from an aspirational international fashion brand or retailer
International experience is an advantage
A strong understanding of current and emerging denim trends, with the ability to translate inspiration into commercially relevant collections
A customer-first mindset and passion for creating fashion for H&M's global womenswear customer
Experience collaborating with suppliers, laundries, and manufacturing partners across Asia and Europe
Advanced skills in Adobe Creative Suite; experience with CLO 3D is a plus
Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to inspire and influence cross-functional teams
A proactive, solution-oriented mindset with natural ownership and leadership qualities
Excellent organizational skills, able to manage multiple priorities and timelines
Adaptability and energy to succeed in a fast-paced, ever-evolving fashion environment
Fluent English; Swedish is not required
