AI experience requirements vary by role and will be assessed during the interview process. We're looking for a full-stack software engineer to join the Benefits Renewals team! Each year, customers need to review and update their benefits. This team powers the workflows that guide employers and employees through the renewal process, helping them stay compliant and retain the coverage that works best for them. As a Staff Software Engineer, you'll operate across the full product lifecycle: shaping features from early spec and design through to launch and long-term iteration. That means writing clean frontend code, designing and building reliable backend APIs, influencing product direction, and taking ownership of what happens after a feature ships.  If you're drawn to work that combines technical craft with real-world impact — helping power the livelihoods of millions using Gusto products — join us! Here’s what you’ll do day-to-day: * Design, build, and test products in Benefits. Improve the user experience when renewing benefits, for both our external and internal customers. Automate the complex manual processes in health insurance to reduce errors and save time. * Mentor other engineers to help solve some of the hardest technical problems out there in very complex domains and at a large scale * Help scale one of the largest Ruby/Rails and Javascript/React applications in the world * Collaborate with our Product Management, Data, Design, and Platform Engineering teams to understand customer pain points, come up with solutions, and then prototype, iterate, and launch daily * Build products that our customers genuinely love Here’s what we’re looking for: * Successful applicants typically have 8+ years of software development experience * Experience owning multi-quarter projects that solve complex engineering problems and make measurable customer impact at scale * Experience driving large, cross-functional projects end-to-end through ambiguity — scoping, sequencing, and unblocking without needing the problem pre-broken-down; aligning multiple stakeholders and working with multiple teams * Experience with implementing A/B tests or experimentation. Experience leveraging AI tools or systems to accelerate development, improve testing, and deliver new product capabilities * Curiosity and experimentation with emerging AI frameworks, applying and sharing best practices to evaluate and scale AI use safely across teams * Ability to mentor engineers to maximize their performance and impact Others: * Experience in, or interest working in, Ruby on Rails  * Appreciation for a collaborative, test-driven environment * Ability to build well-structured, maintainable, well-documented code * Ability to effectively communicate across engineering teams and with business stakeholders Please note that travel to Gusto's office for onboarding is required for this position. Stock equity is additional. Employees who are based in those locations will be expected to work from the office on designated days approximately 2-3 days per week (or more depending on role). About the Team The Professional Services organisation at Miro is focused on ensuring our Enterprise customers achieve exceptional outcomes through the Innovation Workspace. Our team of strategic advisors, onboarding experts and technical account managers work side-by-side with customers to transform how they collaborate, build and innovate—powered by agentic AI and Miro’s world-class platform. About the Role We are seeking a Technical Account Manager (TAM) to partner with Enterprise customers and help them maximise the business value of their investment in Miro. As a TAM, you will act as a fractional strategic advisor—guiding customers through workflow optimisation, driving AI-powered adoption and embedding Miro into their innovation operating models. In addition to your post-sale advisory responsibilities, you will play an active role in the pre-sales and engagement management process. This means partnering with Sales and the broader Go-To-Market team to shape, scope, and position Professional Services engagements for prospective and expanding Enterprise accounts. You will contribute to customer discovery, proposal development, and the definition of measurable business outcomes—ensuring a seamless bridge from the Sales promise to Delivery execution. TAMs are key players in evolving how the world’s most innovative companies Discover, Define, and Deliver new products and services. You will combine product knowledge, strategic insight, technical fluency and change management expertise to drive measurable outcomes for your customers. What you’ll do Engagement Management & Pre-Sales: * Partner with Sales to identify, qualify, and prioritize complex and strategic Professional Services opportunities within your assigned accounts. * Lead or contribute to customer discovery workshops to uncover business challenges, define desired outcomes, and translate findings into well-scoped service proposals. * Position and articulate the value of Miro's Professional Services offerings to business stakeholders and executive sponsors. * Contribute to services bookings goals and pipeline health by actively nurturing pre-sales relationships and ensuring timely, accurate proposal development. Workflow Transformation: * Guide customers in designing and evolving AI-driven workflows across the Discover–Define–Deliver innovation lifecycle. * Recommend and architect integration strategies and automation opportunities utilizing Miro’s API, WebSDK & MCP that drive alignment, speed and business value. * Provide guidance on embedding Miro into the customer’s existing systems and ways of working. Proactive Technical Optimization: * Monitor platform health, engagement, usage patterns and feature adoption. * Deliver proactive, insight-driven recommendations to deepen adoption of Miro’s core and emerging AI capabilities. Change Management & Scaling: * Equip internal champions with strategies to scale adoption across departments, regions and teams. * Support customer Centers of Excellence (CoEs) with guidance on best practices, governance and deployment at scale. * Navigate organizational change to help Miro become a strategic pillar in innovation initiatives. Strategic Alignment & Continuous Improvement: * Co-facilitate Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) with Customer Success Managers to track progress against business goals. * Provide adoption reporting and business outcome analytics to inform ongoing strategy. What you’ll need * 5+ years in consulting, technical account management, forward-deployed engineering or similar roles in enterprise SaaS. * Experience operating in a pre-sales environment: shaping, scoping and positioning Professional Services engagements; comfortable developing customer proposals. * Strong technical fluency: familiarity with APIs, integrations and enterprise IT ecosystems. * Proven ability to lead workflow optimisation, platform adoption and large-scale change management initiatives. * Experience leveraging AI, prompt engineering and agentic workflows to support & enable customer use cases; familiarity with MCP and low/no code tooling a plus. * Expertise in platform analytics to drive data-informed decisions and continuous improvement. * Skilled at facilitating executive-level discussions and cross-functional workshops. * Familiarity with collaboration tooling and product/service development workflows is a plus. * Highly proactive, strategic thinker with a strong customer outcome orientation. * Fluency in both German & English (spoken & written) required.  * Willing to travel to customer sites up to 25%.
