Die Rolle sitzt in der Unit Technology & Operations. Du baust die Datenschicht, die zwischen DATEV und unserer eigenen Intelligenz
liegt: die Abstraktionsschicht, die DATEV-Daten in ein normalisiertes, proprietäres Schema überführt. Du entwickelst die
Sync-Pipelines, die unsere Systeme konsistent halten. Du automatisierst die Workflows, die heute manuelle Arbeit erfordern. Und du
legst die technische Grundlage für alles, was danach kommt.
Du bringst 2–3 Jahre Erfahrung in Software Engineering, Data Engineering oder einer vergleichbaren technischen Rolle mit – oder du
überzeugst als herausragender Absolvent mit substanziellen eigenen Projekten, die über Studienarbeiten hinausgehen. Die Rolle ist

Backed by an international team, strong funding, and a bold vision, we’re looking for people who want to shape the next generation of aerial security and build something that truly matters. 🎯 How you will make an impact: * Lead CE certification for drone systems, including safety analysis, conformity evaluation, and technical documentation. * Drive certification and approval processes with EASA and the German LBA for UAS systems across categories and operational scenarios. * Support and coordinate approval processes with the Bundeswehr’s LufABw for military UAS platforms. * Prepare and maintain safety assessments, including hazard analyses, risk assessments, SORA, and system safety documentation. * Interpret and apply international standards, including EU 2019/947 & 945, MIL‑STD, and environmental standards. * Advise engineering and leadership on regulatory impacts of design decisions and ensure lifecycle compliance. * Create and maintain compliance documentation, technical files, safety cases, and certification reports. * Track regulatory changes, EASA rulings, and emerging UAS standards to ensure long‑term conformity and readiness. ✅ What you need to be successful: * Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical, Safety Engineering, or related fields. * 3+ years of experience in product safety, certification, or regulatory compliance for unmanned systems, aircraft systems, or other regulated products. * Strong understanding of CE marking, EU safety directives, and conformity assessment procedures. * Working knowledge of EASA and LBA UAS certification environments, including operational authorization pathways. * Experience with or support of LufABw approval processes is a strong advantage. * Hands-on experience with system safety and risk assessments (SORA, FMEA, FTA, FHA, etc.). * Ability to interpret technical standards and convert them into actionable engineering requirements. * Strong communication and documentation skills, especially in English and German. * A structured, systematic, and ownership-driven approach to problem solving. ABOUT THE ROLE AND TEAM The Quantum Hardware Team specialises in designing, validating and operating quantum processors based on silicon industrial technology. As a Quantum Engineering Intern, you will work closely with our senior engineers and researchers to assist in the design, testing, and optimization of quantum hardware. This role is designed for students or recent graduates who are passionate about quantum mechanics and eager to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced deep-tech environment. FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE * Hardware Support: Assist in the assembly and testing of control circuits and cryogenic measurement setups. * Data Analysis: Develop and refine Python scripts for automated data collection and analysis of qubit performance metrics. * Experimental Execution: Support the execution of calibration routines and characterization experiments under the guidance of the hardware team. * Documentation: Maintain detailed records of experimental setups, results, and technical workflows. EXPERIENCE - ESSENTIALS * Bachelor's or Master's degree in electrical engineering or a related field * Strong understanding of semiconductor physics * Good understanding of quantum mechanics * Strong skills in electronics laboratory techniques, including soldering, wiring, and circuit debugging * Familiarity with data acquisition software (Python) and the ability to analyse and visualise experimental data * Excellent verbal and written communication skills EXPERIENCE - DESIRABLE * Strong understanding of quantum mechanics and quantum devices * e.g. familiarity with quantum dot characterisation techniques such as charge and spin transport measurements * Basic knowledge of quantum information systems and operations * Familiarity with the use of high-frequency electronics: AWGs, RF and MW signal generators, IQ (de)modulators * Ability to assist in designing and carrying out experiments; assist in data analysis and preparation of technical reports and presentations * Basic knowledge of digital communications techniques (SPI, JTAG, etc.) Note: The desirable experience requirements are not necessary for the role but would be considered as an advantage for the candidate.
