We’re on a path to scale - aiming to become a household name while transforming a long-established industry and helping individuals and organisations prepare for, and find support after, death. But we can’t do it alone. That’s why we’re building a team of self-starters, problem-solvers and people who bring energy to everything they do. Ready to be part of something big? The Role As a Strategic Partnerships Manager - Charity at Octopus Legacy you’ll take ownership of one of our most important growth areas: building and scaling partnerships with UK charities to deliver our legacy and will writing services. Key Responsibilities NEW BUSINESS & REVENUE GROWTH * Own and deliver against ambitious targets for signing new charity partners * Build and manage a strong pipeline of opportunities across the charity sector * Lead end to end sales cycles, from outreach through to contract signature * Develop tailored proposals aligned to each charity’s legacy strategy * Drive consistent, high-quality deal conversion MARKET DEVELOPMENT & STRATEGY * Identify priority segments and opportunities within the charity landscape * Refine messaging, positioning and go to market approach * Gather feedback from the market to inform product and proposition development * Stay close to sector trends (legacy giving, fundraising, regulation) CROSS-FUNCTIONAL COLLABORATION * Work closely with: * Account management (for smooth handover and partner success) * Marketing (campaigns, case studies, collateral) * Product (feedback on charity and supporter needs) * Help shape how we deliver and scale our charity proposition PIPELINE & PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT * Maintain accurate pipeline tracking using CRM systems * Forecast revenue and track performance against targets * Use data to continuously improve conversion and sales effectiveness Who Are You? * A high ownership operator - you take initiative and build momentum without waiting to be asked * Proven experience in: * B2B sales, partnerships or business development * Experience selling into charities or adjacent sectors desirable but not essential * Strong consultative sales skills and comfortable with longer, relationship led sales cycles * Confident engaging senior stakeholders and influencing decisions * Commercially driven, with a track record of hitting or exceeding targets * Highly organised, able to manage multiple complex deals simultaneously * A strong communicator who can simplify complex ideas and build trust quickly * Curious about the charity sector and motivated by purpose driven work * Comfortable using CRM tools and managing a structured pipeline * Proactive, resilient and motivated by building something from the ground up Our Mission Octopus Legacy is the place to plan for death and find support after loss. When people think about planning for death they think about wills, life insurance and funerals. We take these cold processes and turn them into something more human. Share more than money: leave voice notes, music, recipes. Shape a legacy that connects you while you're here. And after you're gone. Founded by Sam after his mum died suddenly, we’re a group of people who work in death because we’ve been affected by it. We know the difference a good plan makes, and what it’s like when there isn’t one. Death can come between us, leaving mess, legal fees, frustration. But it can also make us stronger. We see a world where people talk openly about death, and work out the real meaning of legacy, one that connects to them. We’re here to make that world happen.
