At Omnea, we’re reinventing how enterprise businesses operate, starting with the most painful parts: procurement – where a single
purchase can drag on for months, trigger 50+ emails, and pull in Finance, Legal, Security, and IT just to get something approved.
We’ve raised $75M from Khosla Ventures, Insight Partners, and Accel to change that. Our AI-native platform connects every person,
step, and system so buying is fast, safe, and efficient – one place to request, automated approvals and renewals, real-time
supplier risk, and complete spend visibility.
The opportunity is massive. Every enterprise on the planet has this problem and nobody has solved it. We’ve 10x’d ARR to
double-digit millions in 18 months and are trusted by global enterprises like Spotify, MongoDB, Monzo, and Albertsons. We’re now
the 4th fastest growing startup in Europe & the Sunday Times' #1 Best Medium Sized Tech Company To Work for.
Our team previously scaled Tessian (cybersecurity tech, backed by Sequoia, Balderton, Accel, acquired post-Series C), and our team
includes ex-founders operators who’ve grown unicorns, shipped world-class products, and executed at the highest levels. You’ll
work alongside leaders like Ben, Abs, Sabrina, and Rebe.
As Omnea's Customer Value Lead, you own the relationship with our customers across their entire lifecycle, working with some of
our largest and most strategic accounts. Your job is to make sure customers get real, measurable value from Omnea from day one,
and to turn that value into renewals, expansion, and upsell.
Omnea's product is sticky: it's a business transformation, not a point tool, so once a customer is live, expansion tends to
follow. Your focus skews heavily toward that expansion motion, not just keeping accounts renewed.
You'll build deep, long-term relationships with your champions and become a trusted advisor to stakeholders at every level, from
procurement managers up to CFOs. You'll be the internal voice of the customer, working closely with both technical and commercial
teams to keep Omnea customer-centric at its core.
This is an early hire on the customer team, working directly with Abs, Ben, and Rebe to build the function from the ground up.
There's no fixed playbook yet: you'll help write it.

We don't expect you to know exactly how to do all of this when you join. We're looking for someone with the right attitude and
skillset to take this on.
TL;DR: you're commercially sharp, and you instinctively know how to navigate complex organisations. You might come from a GTM role
(sales, customer success, partnerships) or a customer-facing role with heavy GTM crossover. What matters is that you've worked in
real enterprise environments, managed senior stakeholders with high expectations, and have a track record of getting things done.

You're organised enough to manage a complex book of business without dropping anything, and confident enough to push back on

on something meaningful than coast on something safe

You’ll work alongside leaders like Ben, Abs, Sabrina, and Rebe. FIND OUT MORE ABOUT THE TEAM AND LIFE AT OMNEA HERE. THE ROLE We're looking for a commercial powerhouse to build and run our Customer Value function from the ground up. As Head of Customer Value, you'll own the expansion and retention motion across our enterprise base: leading our Customer Value Leads directly, driving upsell deals yourself, and bringing the commercial rigour and playbook that turns a high-potential team into an elite GTM function. This is a leadership position reporting into our VP Customer Experience, working closely with our CEO and CCO. You'll own revenue growth, churn prevention, talent development, and represent Omnea in high-stakes conversations with CFOs, COOs, and procurement leaders at some of the world's largest companies. Omnea's product is sticky: it's a business transformation, not a point tool, so the majority of the number you own comes from expansion. This is a heavy-expansion, patient, high-stakes enterprise motion, not a high-volume or PLG one, and we want someone who's led that kind of team before, or led a Sales team with the same intensity and rigour. WHAT YOU'LL DO * Own the expansion and retention motion: Take full ownership of upsell and expansion across our enterprise base. Run weekly deal reviews with your Customer Value Leads, personally step into high-stakes opportunities, and make sure every account has a clear commercial path forward. This is an IC-plus-leader role: you're not just managing a team, you're closing deals alongside them. * Build the playbook from scratch: We don't yet have the commercial infrastructure to match our ambitions. You'll build it: deal review cadences, multi-threading strategies, QBR frameworks, expansion playbooks, and a culture of commercial ownership across the team. You'll set the standard for what great account management looks like at Omnea. * Make every customer see their ROI: Our customers love us, but we're not yet telling the value story as well as we could. You'll work closely with the VP Customer Experience and VP Product to develop ROI-driven QBR frameworks, so every executive sponsor sees a clear, compelling picture of what Omnea delivers. Procurement delivers measurable ROI; we should be the ones presenting it back. * Coach and scale the team: Lead our current Customer Value Leads directly, help them develop commercially, and hire as we grow. Help your team navigate complex enterprise relationships, multi-thread into new stakeholders, and develop into excellent account managers in their own right. You'll know what great looks like, and you'll raise the bar. * Feed the product and revenue roadmap: You're the closest person to what our customers actually need and what they'll pay for next. Work hand-in-hand with the Product team on the feedback loop: surfacing expansion opportunities, flagging friction, and helping pre-sell new modules with the right design partners before they launch. WHAT'S DIFFERENT ABOUT THIS ROLE * This is a leadership hire into a function that doesn't fully exist yet. You're not inheriting a playbook, you're writing it, and you'll be judged on how fast a scrappy team turns into an elite one. * We're expansion-first, not retention-first. Most of the number you own comes from growing accounts, not just keeping them, because the product gets stickier and more valuable to a customer the longer they run on it. * We want a player-coach, not a RevOps dashboard manager. You'll personally run deals alongside your team, get on planes with them at end of quarter, and be in the room for the highest-stakes conversations. * We're just as open to a Sales leader with the right intensity and rigour as we are to an Account Management leader, provided the motion they ran was expansion-heavy, enterprise, and high-stakes. ABOUT YOU You're a natural commercial operator: as comfortable rolling up your sleeves on a renewal negotiation as you are building a team cadence from scratch. You had a strong track record as a senior IC before you grew into a leader, and you believe the best leaders player-coach their teams rather than manage from the sidelines. * You're not afraid to be in the weeds, get your hands dirty, and directly drive deals, but you're also passionate about coaching your team to do their best work. You get on aeroplanes at end of quarter, together with your team. * 8+ years of experience in a senior commercial or customer leadership role, with 3+ years leading a function, both as an IC and as a leader. You're hands-on rather than a RevOps dashboard manager, you've worked in high-calibre environments, and you're genuinely excited by the journey of taking a function from scrappy to scaled. * You've owned NRR targets before, or have a very strong appetite and capability to. You understand hustle and complexity: managing enterprise accounts in tough environments, navigating long cycles, and working with multiple stakeholders to get things across the line. You know the levers - retention, upsell, multi-threading, executive relationships, champion building, value articulation - and you've applied them in proper enterprise deals (six-figure ARR+, complex buying committees, significant project management). This isn't a PLG or high-volume mid-market motion; it's patient, strategic, high-stakes account management. * A proven track record of building, scaling, and leading high-performing commercial teams, from early stage to growth. You know what exceptional talent looks like, and you've recruited, coached, and retained an A+ team before. * Good commercial intuition, and the ability to build rapport, influence people, and drive change, whether it's with a distinguished exec or a junior operator. You're a natural communicator, and you have the gravitas and executive presence to engage senior leadership, ideally up to CFOs, Legal, or Procurement. Above all: you're ambitious, commercial, collaborative, and care deeply about building something exceptional. You thrive in ambiguity, move fast, and have an almost obsessive sense of ownership and entrepreneurship, whether that's shown up in academia, work, sport, sales, or founding something of your own. At Omnea, we embrace diversity. To build a product that's loved by everyone, we're best served by a team with all sorts of backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives. We encourage you to apply even if your experience doesn't quite match the full job spec! And regardless of your race, religion, colour, gender, or anything else! If you think you could be a good fit for Omnea, please reach out. A FEW THINGS TO NOTE: * We offer competitive geo-localised benefits, and you can check out our UK Benefits Package here and our US Benefits Package here. * We work Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Thursdays in-person at our offices. At this early stage of our company life-cycle it's important to us that we get this together-time, and you can read more about why we believe this is a winning move here * We're commercial, ambitious and we don't pretend otherwise! We're actively seeking folks looking to make the most of a career-defining opportunity, with the hunger to be part of building something really impressive. You can see our values here and our Omnea Future Founder's fund here! * We sometimes use AI note-takers to help us transcribe interview notes, so we can be more present in your interview. If you'd like to opt out of us using automatic transcribers, please note this in the free text field in your application, otherwise we'll take your application as confirmation that you're happy for us to use notetakers (whether added to video calls or in the background). HEAD OF DATA SCIENCE & AI Hybrid in London, United Kingdom We’re looking for a Head of Data Science & AI You'll lead iwoca's data science function – a group building probabilistic and statistical models that make real-time lending decisions. You'll also be a key part of how iwoca embeds AI across the wider business: setting the pace yourself, and raising capability beyond your direct team. The company Small businesses move fast. Opportunities often don’t wait, and cash flow pressures can appear overnight. To keep going, and growing, SMEs need finance that’s as flexible and responsive as they are. That's why we built iwoca. Our smart technology, data science and five-star customer service ensures business owners can act with the speed, confidence and control they need, exactly when it's needed. We’ve already cleared the way for 100,000 businesses with more than £4 billion in funding. Our passionate team is driven to help even more SMEs succeed, through access to better finance and other services that make running a business easier. Our ultimate mission is to support one million SMEs in their defining moments, creating lasting impact for the communities and economies they drive. The team iwoca's data scientists build probabilistic and statistical models that make lending decisions in real time, support forecasting, and shape commercial strategy. Their work is deployed in production code and has direct commercial consequences – it's more than exploratory analysis. The function is now embedding AI into how that work gets done. Successfully leading it will require close collaboration with engineering, product, and commercial teams. The role As Head of Data Science & AI, you'll shape how a technically sophisticated team works – and influence how the wider business adopts AI. Doing that well requires a deep understanding of the modelling work: where AI genuinely changes the work, where it speeds things up, and where a different approach is better. You'll judge what's actually possible with these tools – and challenge the assumptions when the rationale isn't clear. iwoca's data scientists build probabilistic ML models on credit and commercial data, deployed in production, making real-time lending decisions across lending, product, operations, and strategy. The group has approximately 25 data scientists, split across a central team and smaller groups aligned to specific products or domains. You'll report to one of iwoca's co-founders, who is also a data scientist. * AI enablement and adoption You'll set the standard for how AI is used across the group – establishing practices that make adoption safe and repeatable, and creating the conditions for a technically sophisticated group to advance together. * Strategic direction You'll influence where the group invests its resources – deciding what to model, where AI accelerates the work, and where a lighter approach is more effective. You'll shape commercial and product decisions by making analytical trade-offs legible to senior stakeholders, and work with team leads to plan and prioritise across multiple streams. * People and team You'll develop the people around you – raising capability across the group through clear standards, direct coaching, and a genuine investment in how data scientists grow. You'll spot where the gaps are and help close them. You'll also own hiring, shaping how the group assesses and develops talent as it grows. * Commercial opportunity and coordination You'll spot commercial opportunities across the business – where modelling or AI can change outcomes – and work with Engineering, Product, and Operations teams to act on them. You'll represent the group in discussions that shape lending, risk, and product decisions, explaining assumptions, highlighting risks, and helping senior stakeholders act on analytical insight. The requirements Essential * High AI agency: You actively experiment with AI in your analytical and technical workflows. You use tools like Claude Code, Codex, or similar to build, automate, and accelerate substantive work. You have a clear view on how AI changes what a data science team does and a track record of raising capability across the people around you, not just your own output. * Transformation track record: You have led a meaningful shift in how an analytical or data science team works. You are comfortable navigating resistance, building adoption across different types of people, and making change persist beyond your direct involvement. * Technical background: You have a background in probability, statistics, or a related quantitative field, with hands-on experience building and overseeing probabilistic ML models on structured commercial or financial data. * Production experience: You have managed the full lifecycle of models in production – deploying, monitoring, and retiring them. You are comfortable coordinating chains of model dependencies across different teams. * Commercial acumen: You understand how modelling supports business decisions and know when to make trade-offs between depth, delivery time, and value. * Strategic leadership: You have experience setting data science strategy, aligning work with commercial goals, and translating technical modelling for senior stakeholders so they can act on it. * People and team: You have experience managing a data science team, setting clear standards, and developing people – including having direct conversations about where the gap is and how to close it. Bonus: * Domain experience: You have worked in credit risk, lending, or customer lifetime value modelling. * Function scale: You have led a data science team of 20 or more people across multiple teams. * R&D and forecasting: You have experience shaping a modelling agenda, including probabilistic or long-term forecasting work. * Industry profile: You have represented a data science team externally – industry events, publications, or advisory roles. The salary We expect to pay from £140,000 to £200,000 for this role. But, we’re open-minded, so definitely include your salary goals with your application. We routinely benchmark salaries against market rates, and run quarterly performance reviews. The culture At iwoca, the best idea wins. We model our culture on independent thinking, challenging untested logic, and evidence-based decisions. We prioritise learning and growth, and give people the autonomy to develop in the direction that makes them most effective. We're a tech company and believe in the power of AI to help us work faster and better. We provide the infrastructure where every iwocan always has access to the best models and where those models have access to all of our data. We will help our people to learn how to use and grow with the new tools available to them. The offices We put a lot of effort into making iwoca a great place to work: * Offices in London, Leeds, Berlin, and Frankfurt with plenty of drinks and snacks. * Events and community-led groups, including running groups, padel, and monthly ping-pong and pool competitions. The benefits * Flexible working hours. * Medical insurance from Vitality, including discounted gym membership. * A private GP service (separate from Vitality) for you, your partner, and your dependents. * 25 days’ holiday per year, an extra day off for your birthday, the option to buy or sell an additional five days of annual leave, and unlimited unpaid leave. * A one-month, fully paid sabbatical after four years. * Instant access to external counselling and therapy sessions for team members that need emotional or mental health support. * 3% Pension contributions on total earnings. * An employee equity incentive scheme. * Generous parental leave and a nursery tax benefit scheme to help you save money. * Electric car scheme and cycle to work scheme. * Two company retreats a year: we’ve been to France, Italy, Spain, and further afield. And to make sure we all keep learning, we offer: * A learning and development budget for everyone. * Company-wide talks with internal and external speakers. * Access to learning platforms like Treehouse. Useful links: * iwoca benefits & policies * Interview welcome pack
