About the role
You will play a key role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and timely movement of freight through our ports. Working closely with
customers, terminal operations, vessel crews, and internal stakeholders, you will manage bookings, monitor vessel schedules,
coordinate port activities, and ensure all operational and customs documentation is completed accurately. This fast-paced role
requires excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to respond proactively to operational
challenges.
There are 2 shift patterns available for this role, Monday - Friday and 4 on 4 off.
You will be responsible for
accurately processing bookings within agreed service levels.
departments to minimise delays and maintain operational efficiency.
paperwork, and pre-arrival/post-sailing documentation.

About the role Working Monday to Friday, 08:00–17:00, you'll play a key role in supporting export operations and maintaining excellent relationships with customers and stakeholders. You'll be responsible for coordinating bookings, managing vessel allocations, supporting key accounts, and ensuring high standards of customer service throughout the supply chain process. You will be responsible for: * Managing export operations, including booking creation and shipment coordination * Liaising professionally with customers, carriers, overseas offices, and internal teams * Managing vessel allocations and ensuring operational requirements are met * Supporting key customer accounts and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction * Preparing quotations, invoicing customers, and updating operational KPIs * Preparing and validating customs-related data and documentation * Proactively resolving issues and ensuring all activities are completed accurately and on time About you Experience within logistics, shipping, freight forwarding, or transport operations is preferred. You'll have excellent attention to detail, be comfortable working to deadlines, and possess strong communication skills. You'll be able to work independently while also contributing positively as part of a wider team. The role requires extensive travel across the UK, with regular customer meetings and networking opportunities, playing a central part in maintaining and expanding customer partnerships. Working closely with Commercial, Operations, Customer Service and Internal Sales teams, the role will act as the primary relationship owner for assigned international accounts, identifying opportunities to increase revenue, improve service performance, and strengthen long-term partnerships. The role will support the delivery of DFDS's commercial objectives through proactive account management, customer engagement and continuous improvement initiatives.
