At Beam, you get to do work that matters for the world. We’re solving the world's toughest social problems with an incredible
team, tech and AI. And we’re growing fast 🚀
It’s not easy. Nothing worth doing ever is.
Join a company at the forefront of social impact, driving first-of-its-kind positive change. You’ll be part of a high-performance
culture where you'll make a huge impact, rapidly progress your career, and truly enjoy your work.
From top-tier coaching and personal development budgets to competitive salaries, we take care of everyone who works at Beam.
We’ve already seen incredible growth from our Beam Notes product, helping frontline workers save over 8 hours of admin per week.
From social workers and NHS clinicians to mental health practitioners and safeguarding specialists, nearly 100,000 frontline
workers across the UK, US and Australia are now using Beam Notes regularly to deliver faster, more human-centred support.
Are you a sharp, ambitious early-career professional who wants to learn how a category-defining AI company wins public sector
work, and own a genuinely critical piece of it from day one? As our Bids Executive, you'll be the engine of our scoping function,
deciding which opportunities Beam pursues across the UK and internationally.
This isn't an admin role dressed up in startup language. You will be our eyes and ears in the market, and your work dictates our
growth. A major part of your mission is scoping, which is where winning starts: identifying the massive opportunities that will
put Beam’s AI into the hands of thousands more frontline workers. By understanding exactly where the public sector is heading,
you'll drive the strategic conversations with our sales team that decide what we chase. Alongside shaping our market strategy, you
will learn the craft of bid writing from the inside. We don’t expect you to have all the answers on day one. You’ll jump straight
into live bids, absorb feedback, and visibly level up your skills every month, all while owning the knowledge base that makes our
entire operation faster and sharper.
Our software is growing fast, and we're building the bids team of the future to power it. AI has changed the game, and we need
someone ready to rewrite the rulebook. You'll take us from 0-to-1, designing innovative processes from scratch and deciding how AI
can supercharge the way we draft and win. We are setting the new standard for world-class proposal work in public sector tech. You
won't be inheriting a playbook. You'll be writing it.

From social workers and NHS clinicians to mental health practitioners and safeguarding specialists, nearly 100,000 frontline workers across the UK, US and Australia are now using Beam Notes regularly to deliver faster, more human-centred support. ABOUT THE ROLE Are you a public sector bid writer who's tired of polishing other people's processes and wants to build your own? This is your chance to shape how a category-defining AI company wins partnerships across the UK, USA, Australia and Europe, at exactly the moment it matters most. Our software is growing fast, and we're building the bids team of the future to power it. AI has changed the game, and we need someone ready to rewrite the rulebook. You'll take us from 0-to-1, designing innovative processes from scratch and deciding how AI can supercharge the way we draft and win. We are setting the new standard for world-class proposal work in public sector tech. You won't be inheriting a playbook. You'll be writing it. Our tools are saving frontline workers over 8 hours of admin every week, with impact stats and case studies to match. Your job is to tell that story brilliantly, win the contracts that put cutting-edge tools in more practitioners' hands, and get a front-row seat to where AI in public services are heading. YOU’LL BE * Owning bids end-to-end: leading drafting and storyboarding from first scan to final submission, producing work that wins contracts and puts Beam tools in the hands of more frontline workers. * Reinventing how bid writing works: identifying drafting efficiencies using AI and building new processes that make us faster and more streamlined than anyone else in the market. * Deciding what we chase: running scoping on bids identified, we pursue the opportunities that genuinely move Beam forward. * Writing beyond bids: drafting award entries, RFIs and written submissions for our sales teams, making sure every piece of writing that leaves Beam is sharp and persuasive. * Owning key relationships: managing our bid scanning platform partnership so we never miss the right opportunity, running our G-Cloud framework presence and partnering with sales colleagues to get early insight into upcoming opportunities. * Taking Beam global: providing international procurement advice across the USA and Australia, and supporting the day-to-day relationship with our Global team as we scale into new markets. * Developing our Bids Executive team: supporting their onboarding, reviewing their work and managing the bids they run, helping them grow while raising the quality bar across the team. * Levelling up the people around you: You love working with sales and are excited to act as their strategic partner. You'll run targeted training that levels up the team, ensuring everyone is equipped to navigate enterprise procurement and win. YOU ARE * A proven public sector bid writer: you have real bid writing expertise within the public sector. * Sparky and proactive: you spot what needs doing before anyone asks, and you bring energy that lifts the people around you. * A natural collaborator: you work brilliantly across teams, building strong relationships with Sales, Trust & Safety, Legal and, over time, Marketing. * Deeply Inquisitive: you ask specific, well thought out strategic questions, and you genuinely want to understand how things work before improving them. * Startup-shaped: ideally you've done bid writing in the public sector and then taken that expertise into a startup. We're open to candidates without startup experience, but you'll need to show us you can thrive in pace and ambiguity. BONUS POINTS * You've worked on bids and proposals in a social care or a healthcare context. * You have practical experience working in procurement within a public sector organisation. * You’ve worked on international tenders, especially in the United States * You bring expertise in key government frameworks, such as GCloud PERKS * Generous EMI-qualifying share options * Access to therapy, coaching, classes & content - powered by Oliva * Your own financial well-being coach, through Bippit * Generous Holiday - 25 days with 3 additional days over the Christmas period + bank holidays * Work remotely up to 6 weeks a year * Eligible for a 6-week sabbatical after 3 years in service * Nursery scheme through Gogeta * Healthcare cover through Benenden Health * Enhanced parental leave: Primary Caregiver leave 18 weeks and Secondary Caregiver leave 4 weeks * £200 WellBeam budget for activities enhancing wellbeing and professional development * Annual membership to Shoreditch Exchange gym (London office only) * Pension scheme where we contribute 4% of your salary and you contribute 5%. * Free subscription to the Calm meditation app * Discounted bike and accessories with Cyclescheme, and tech products with Techscheme ABOUT BEAM Our team of 200+ embraces a hybrid working approach, enjoying 2-3 days of vibrant collaboration in our beautiful Shoreditch co-working space, fully equipped with rooftop views, an onsite barista and kitted out gym.
