Vercel is the agentic infrastructure company. We free people and agents to ship what’s next.
For more than a decade, Vercel has shaped how the web is built. As the team behind Next.js, v0, and AI SDK, we create products
that help builders move from idea to production with speed, security, and exceptional developer experience.
Now, software is entering a new era, and the next generation of products will not just be used by people. They will be built,
extended, and operated by agents.
We are building the platform for that future, trusted by companies like OpenAI, PayPal, Ramp, Supreme, and millions of developers
worldwide. Whether you’re building our products, supporting our customers, growing our community, or shaping our story, you’ll
help define what comes next.
You’ll lead the team responsible for Vercel’s CDN, proxy, and edge caching systems—the core infrastructure that powers
performance, reliability, and cost efficiency for every customer request at Vercel. Your mandate is twofold: Operate critical
systems exceptionally (latency, reliability, COGS), and align the team to product and business goals, translating strategy into a
clear roadmap
You will set direction, grow people, and create the conditions for high trust, high autonomy, and high output—balancing technical
depth with strong people leadership. This is a manager role, not a principal IC role. You’ll code when it’s the highest leverage
(e.g., prototypes/unblocking), but your default is delegation, coaching, and alignment.
The San Francisco, CA base pay range for this role is $196,000.00 - $336,000.00. Actual salary will be based on job-related
skills, experience, and location. Compensation outside of San Francisco may be adjusted based on employee location. The total
compensation package may include benefits, equity-based compensation, and eligibility for a company bonus or variable pay program
depending on the role. Your recruiter can share more details during the hiring process.
Vercel is committed to fostering and empowering an inclusive community within our organization. We do not discriminate on the
basis of race, religion, color, gender expression or identity, sexual orientation, national origin, citizenship, age, marital
status, veteran status, disability status, or any other characteristic protected by law. Vercel encourages everyone to apply for
our available positions, even if they don't necessarily check every box on the job description.

ABOUT VERCEL: Vercel is the agentic infrastructure company. We free people and agents to ship what’s next. For more than a decade, Vercel has shaped how the web is built. As the team behind Next.js, v0, and AI SDK, we create products that help builders move from idea to production with speed, security, and exceptional developer experience. Whether you’re building our products, supporting our customers, growing our community, or shaping our story, you’ll help define what comes next. ABOUT THE ROLE: We're looking for a leader to build and run Vercel's Product Strategy & Operations function from the ground up. This is a senior, cross-functional role that sits at the heart of the EPD organization and works in close partnership with the CPO, EPD Leads, GTM leadership, and Finance. You will own three things above all else: the rigor that makes our high-velocity shipping machine sustainable, the measurement infrastructure that tells us whether our products are succeeding after they launch, and the planning systems that keep our roadmap and revenue plan sharp, funded, and aligned across the company. This is a strategic leadership position for someone who thinks deeply about product markets and business models, builds world-class operating systems, and uses data to drive decisions that matter. If you’re based within a pre-determined commuting distance of one of our offices (SF, NY, London, or Berlin), the role includes in-office anchor days on Monday, Tuesday, and Friday. If you're located beyond that distance, the role is fully remote. For location-specific details, please connect with our recruiting team. WHAT YOU WILL DO: * Own the EPD rhythm of business: weekly operating reviews, monthly business reviews, planning cycles, and roadmap processes — building minimum viable process for each. * Run the ShipOps function to enable Launch Calendar reviews and Vercel’s high velocity “You Can Just Ship Things” approach. * Establish a "product landing" framework — a structured post-launch process that goes beyond the ship date to ensure new features and products are actually adopted, drive the intended business outcomes, and generate learnings that feed the next iteration. * Partner closely with Sales and Marketing teams to set targets, make plans and execute tactics that drive deal pipeline creation, and user launches and ramps. * Develop and maintain competitive intelligence systems that give product leaders a continuously updated view of the market landscape. * Partner with Data Engineering and Data Science to ensure the analytical infrastructure (data pipelines, warehouse models, tooling) supports the speed of analysis our business requires. * Partner with EPD leads to maintain team health, capacity visibility, and resource allocation so that the right bets are properly staffed and execution risk is surfaced early. ABOUT YOU: * 8+ years in product operations, business operations, strategy, or a closely adjacent function inside a high-growth technology company. * Ability to understand complex, technical products and articulate their value to non-technical audiences. * Deep familiarity with the full software development lifecycle — you understand how EPD teams plan, build, and ship, and have experience improving those processes. * Passion for structuring and solving highly ambiguous strategic problems and owning end-to-end execution of solutions. * Experience leading complex, cross-functional projects with multiple functional stakeholders. * Past experience working at the intersection of product and go-to-market teams in a software company. * Strong oral and written communication skills, with a proven ability to work effectively with multiple, cross-functional stakeholders, including users. BONUS IF YOU: * Background in developer tooling, cloud infrastructure, or platform products — you understand the Vercel customer and can speak credibly about the space. * Frequently build your own agents to support workflows and data analyses BENEFITS: * Competitive compensation package, including equity. * Inclusive Healthcare Package. * Learn and Grow - we provide mentorship and send you to events that help you build your network and skills. * Flexible Time Off. * We will provide you the gear you need to do your role, and a WFH budget for you to outfit your space as needed. Whether you’re previewing a new idea from v0 or shipping the next great thing to production, every customer builds — and millions of builds flow through our systems every day. As a Senior Infrastructure Engineer on the CI/CD team, you’ll take ownership of the systems that power these builds at scale. You won’t just contribute features — you’ll be responsible for the design, reliability, and evolution of the platform itself. You’ll make decisions that shape performance, define best practices, and ensure the developer workflows that Vercel and our customers depend on are fast, resilient, and secure. This role blends product thinking with deep systems ownership. You’ll partner with teams across Vercel to build and operate infrastructure that directly impacts how developers ship software on the web. WHAT YOU WILL DO: * Own and evolve the infrastructure that powers Vercel’s build and deployment lifecycle — from handling webhooks to designing resilient database schemas and building scalable APIs. * Design and operate high-performance microservices that process millions of builds daily, ensuring speed, reliability, and developer delight. * Lead projects end-to-end: from identifying opportunities to defining technical direction and delivering improvements in performance, reliability, and developer experience. * Collaborate across teams to align infrastructure with company-wide goals and ensure seamless developer workflows. * Shape the long-term vision of CI/CD at Vercel by setting standards for scalability, reliability, and developer productivity. * Participate in the on-call rotation, taking responsibility for the reliability of critical systems. * Contribute to the open-source community, representing Vercel’s commitment to advancing developer tools globally. * Write clean, efficient, tested, and well-documented code that others can build upon confidently. ABOUT YOU: * 6+ years of experience designing, building, and operating backend applications and distributed systems at scale. * Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, with the ability to navigate and improve complex systems. * Strong proficiency with cloud infrastructure (AWS) and infrastructure as code (Terraform) * A track record of end-to-end ownership — from design and implementation through to long-term operation in production. * Skilled at cross-team collaboration, able to influence priorities and drive alignment toward shared goals. * Comfortable setting direction and defining architectural standards that scale across teams, balancing long-term vision with pragmatic delivery. * Experienced in mentoring and elevating those around you, fostering strong engineering practices. * Curious, eager to learn, and motivated to push the boundaries of how modern software gets built and shipped. BONUS IF YOU: * Are familiar with React or Next.js * Have experience with DynamoDB * Have worked to develop a CI/CD platform or internal developer platform used by other engineers. * Have experience contributing to, or participating in open-source projects. * Have experience optimizing build systems for monorepos or polyrepo setups. * Have experience with build caching, artifact storage, or dependency management at scale. BENEFITS: * Competitive compensation package, including equity. * Inclusive Healthcare Package. * Learn and Grow - we provide mentorship and send you to events that help you build your network and skills. * Flexible Time Off. * We will provide you the gear you need to do your role, and a WFH budget for you to outfit your space as needed.
