YOUR MISSION AT VOI As Senior Proposal Specialist at Voi, you are the pen behind our most important tenders. You turn complex city requirements, technical specifications and policy commitments into clear, persuasive and beautifully crafted proposals that make the case for Voi as Europe's #1 micromobility operator. This is a hands-on writing role. Sitting within the Proposal & Content function of the Tender Enablement team, you spend the majority of your time doing the work: drafting, editing, refining and finalising tender responses to the highest standard. You are not managing a team or setting strategy; you are the specialist who makes our submissions shine, working closely with our Tender Governance team, local markets and subject-matter contributors to get the content right. You will: * Write and edit persuasive, high-quality responses to RFIs, RFPs, ITTs, demos and presentations, tailored to each city's priorities, evaluation criteria and local context. * Develop the content structure for each tender: deciding how to present our narrative for different markets, languages and requirements, based on the win themes agreed with the team. * Work closely with local teams and partners to produce fit-for-purpose drafts that reflect local nuance, including writing or adapting content in non-English markets. * Apply Voi's tone of voice and writing standards consistently throughout every submission, clear, confident and human. * Review, proofread and refine contributions from subject-matter experts across Markets, Policy, Finance, R&D, Legal and Commercial, translating technical input into crisp, compelling language. * Finalise and quality-check all documentation for each tender stage, ensuring accuracy, consistency and compliance with submission requirements. * Contribute to and maintain our tender content library: keeping our bank of reusable answers, evidence and narratives up to date and improving with every submission. * Collaborate with our tender designer to ensure content and visuals work together to tell a strong, consistent Voi story. * Apply learnings from tender feedback and scoring outcomes to improve the quality and persuasiveness of future responses. WHAT YOU NEED TO EMBARK You are a skilled writer who thrives on making complex things simple, and on finding the right words to make a city say yes. You love the craft: the structure of an argument, the rhythm of a sentence, the difference between good and excellent. You are curious, detail-oriented and comfortable working independently, producing polished, high-quality content across multiple live submissions at once. This role does not involve managing people or owning commercial strategy. You are a specialist who is exceptional at what you do, and what you do is write. Experience & knowledge: * Minimum 2-4 years in bid or tender writing, proposal development or content production, ideally in a public sector or B2G context. * Excellent written English and German; additional Norwegian, Dutch or French writing capability is a strong asset given our key markets. * Familiarity with tender content libraries or knowledge management tools. * Exposure to public procurement processes, evaluation criteria and compliance requirements. * Micromobility or urban mobility background a merit. Key competencies: * Written communication: writes clearly and persuasively, adapts style and tone for different markets and audiences. * Content planning: structures responses logically and knows how to sequence arguments for maximum impact. * Attention to detail: produces consistently accurate, polished work and catches errors before they reach the evaluator. * Collaboration: draws out the right information from subject-matter experts and turns varied inputs into coherent submissions. * Growth mindset: actively learns from feedback, scoring outcomes and competitor analysis to improve every future response. Don't meet every requirement? If you are excited about this role and our mission, and bring strong writing skills and relevant experience, we encourage you to apply, even if you don't check every box. WHY VOI? Working at Voi is more than just a job; our People Promise includes a personal voyage where you will grow as a professional and be part of a team building something meaningful for cities and society. In addition, you'll have the opportunity to: * Join Europe's #1 micromobility operator and one of the fastest-growing scale-ups. * Get "skin in the game" through our employee options programme. * Enjoy unlimited free Voi rides and a dog-friendly office. * Work with inspiring, motivated and fun colleagues towards a common goal. * Be part of the micromobility revolution, helping create sustainable cities free from noise and pollution.
At Beam, you get to do work that matters for the world. We’re solving the world's toughest social problems with an incredible team, tech and AI. And we’re growing fast 🚀 It’s not easy. Nothing worth doing ever is. Join a company at the forefront of social impact, driving first-of-its-kind positive change. You’ll be part of a high-performance culture where you'll make a huge impact, rapidly progress your career, and truly enjoy your work. From top-tier coaching and personal development budgets to competitive salaries, we take care of everyone who works at Beam. We’ve already seen incredible growth from our Beam Notes product, helping frontline workers save over 8 hours of admin per week. From social workers and NHS clinicians to mental health practitioners and safeguarding specialists, nearly 100,000 frontline workers across the UK, US and Australia are now using Beam Notes regularly to deliver faster, more human-centred support. ABOUT THE ROLE Are you a sharp, ambitious early-career professional who wants to learn how a category-defining AI company wins public sector work, and own a genuinely critical piece of it from day one? As our Bids Executive, you'll be the engine of our scoping function, deciding which opportunities Beam pursues across the UK and internationally. This isn't an admin role dressed up in startup language. You will be our eyes and ears in the market, and your work dictates our growth. A major part of your mission is scoping, which is where winning starts: identifying the massive opportunities that will put Beam’s AI into the hands of thousands more frontline workers. By understanding exactly where the public sector is heading, you'll drive the strategic conversations with our sales team that decide what we chase. Alongside shaping our market strategy, you will learn the craft of bid writing from the inside. We don’t expect you to have all the answers on day one. You’ll jump straight into live bids, absorb feedback, and visibly level up your skills every month, all while owning the knowledge base that makes our entire operation faster and sharper. Our software is growing fast, and we're building the bids team of the future to power it. AI has changed the game, and we need someone ready to rewrite the rulebook. You'll take us from 0-to-1, designing innovative processes from scratch and deciding how AI can supercharge the way we draft and win. We are setting the new standard for world-class proposal work in public sector tech. You won't be inheriting a playbook. You'll be writing it. YOU’LL BE * Owning our market scoping: Serving as our frontline scout to identify the high-impact UK and international contracts that will fuel Beam's growth. You will actively monitor the market and proactively get Beam into the room with public sector buyers long before a tender even drops. * Driving the commercial strategy: You won't just find opportunities; you’ll dictate what we do with them. You will lead scoping sessions with our Sales teams, initiate crucial go/no-go discussions, and ensure we only chase the contracts worth winning. * Mastering the craft of bid drafting: This is where you hone your skills and make your mark. You will jump straight into drafting compelling, high-quality bid responses, working alongside the team to shape the winning narratives that secure major public sector contracts. * Owning our knowledge and communications: Acting as the central hub for our bids. You will manage crucial bid correspondence and own Beam's knowledge base, from AI-powered scoping templates to content libraries. * Making us faster and sharper: Constantly challenging the status quo to improve our ways of working. You will find innovative ways to leverage AI and cut administrative overhead to streamline our processes. * Telling our story & empowering the business: Reporting on our win rates and achievements, while helping to deliver high-impact procurement training sessions that equip the wider commercial team to succeed. YOU ARE * Sparky and proactive: you bring energy to everything you do, and you’d rather ask “can I take that?” than wait to be handed something. * Well Organised: a busy mailbox, a live scoping pipeline and a reporting deadline don’t faze you. You’re the person who never lets things slip through the cracks. * A fast learner who loves feedback: you won’t know everything about bids on day one, and that’s fine. What matters is that you pick things up quickly, ask for input early and get visibly better every month. * Deeply Inquisitive: you ask specific, well thought out questions because you genuinely want to understand how things work, not just complete the task in front of you. * A clear writer with an eye for detail: you can draft cleanly and spot the typo everyone else missed. Any exposure to public sector bids, proposals or procurement is a bonus, not a requirement. * A natural collaborator: you’re comfortable chasing busy salespeople for answers, running a meeting with people more senior than you, and building relationships across teams. * Excited by the mission: you want your work to mean something, and the idea of helping frontline workers get hours of their week back genuinely motivates you. BONUS POINTS * You've worked on bids and proposals before (even more bonus points if this was in social care or healthcare) * You have practical experience working in procurement within a public sector organisation. * You’ve worked in a fast paced start up before PERKS * Generous EMI-qualifying share options * Access to therapy, coaching, classes & content - powered by Oliva * Your own financial well-being coach, through Bippit * Generous Holiday - 25 days with 3 additional days over the Christmas period + bank holidays * Work remotely up to 6 weeks a year * Eligible for a 6-week sabbatical after 3 years in service * Nursery scheme through Gogeta * Healthcare cover through Benenden Health * Enhanced parental leave: Primary Caregiver leave 18 weeks and Secondary Caregiver leave 4 weeks * £200 WellBeam budget for activities enhancing wellbeing and professional development * Annual membership to Shoreditch Exchange gym (London office only) * Pension scheme where we contribute 4% of your salary and you contribute 5%. * Free subscription to the Calm meditation app * Discounted bike and accessories with Cyclescheme, and tech products with Techscheme ABOUT BEAM Our team of 200+ embraces a hybrid working approach, enjoying 2-3 days of vibrant collaboration in our beautiful Shoreditch co-working space, fully equipped with rooftop views, an onsite barista and kitted out gym.
