Start: Immediately | Level: Senior | Location: Hamburg, hybrid | Working hours: Fulltime (40h/week) As Data Architect (gn) – Master Data Management, you bear the overall technical and structural responsibility for the architecture of our master data management. In this role, you define the global master data model, design validation rules and workflows, and ensure that data structures are perfectly harmonized across all systems. You will act as the central technical authority at the crucial interface between business requirements and IT implementation. The role can be done fully remote with occasional visits in the HQ in Hamburg (about 1x month in the first year, afterwards less). YOUR MISSION * You hold overall ownership of the master data model and attribute logic across all relevant domains. You define field attributes, mandatory fields, and validation rules * You establish the leading system (System of Record / SOR) for each master data object, document the data flows within the system landscape, and define synchronization logics, replication rules, and error handling in close coordination with the integration teams * You assume technical responsibility for all MDM-relevant interfaces between SAP, PIM (Akeneo), CRM, WMS (Lea), PLM (Centric), and other systems. In doing so, you reduce complexity, avoid technical workarounds, and support data migrations from extraction to validation * You design and document end-to-end master data processes. You define the workflows for data creation, enrichment, approval, and distribution, and systematically close process gaps at system handover points across all domains (Product, Vendor, Customer, Finance, Logistics) * You implement data quality rules within the systems, monitor technical MDM key performance indicators (KPIs), and drive continuous improvement processes from a technical perspective * You ensure stable interfaces to downstream systems and are responsible for seamless, top-tier documentation of data models and integration architectures YOUR EXPERIENCE & SKILLS * You bring at least 6 years of solid professional experience in data architecture, MDM, or SAP master data management, and have a proven track record of modeling master data structures in large-scale transformation projects * Ideally, you possess a solid understanding of the FMCG, food, dietary supplements, or retail industries * You have deep knowledge of SAP master data (Material, Business Partner, Pricing, BOM, etc.) and are fully proficient with PIM and PLM systems as well as modern system integrations (API, ETL, etc.). Job Summary: The Manager, Enterprise Data & Reporting leads a team of analysts and developers responsible for enterprise business intelligence, master data governance, and data quality across North America. Reporting to the Director of Operations Business Systems & Data Strategy, this role translates the organization's data and analytics strategy into day-to-day execution — managing people, priorities, and delivery across the BI development lifecycle, Master Data stewardship, and business partnership functions. This leader is accountable for ensuring that enterprise data is accurate, governed, accessible, and structured to support advanced analytics, AI, and automation initiatives. The Manager serves as the operational bridge between strategic data initiatives and the teams that execute them, driving quality, consistency, and continuous improvement across all data and reporting functions. This will be achieved while maintaining HellermannTyton's Quality and EHS certifications by supporting all corporate policies, procedures, work instructions and required documentation. Master Data Governance & Data Quality * Oversee North America Master Data governance activities across key domains. * Ensure data quality standards are defined, monitored, and continuously improved in partnership with business data stewards. * Support governance workflows for Master Data creation, change, approval, and retirement. * Drive data quality remediation efforts, root cause analysis, and KPI tracking to improve accuracy, completeness, and consistency. * Ensure master and transactional data structures support AI feature engineering, model training, and intelligent automation use cases * Partner with IT and ERP teams to align Master Data with system and reporting requirements. * Lead efforts to close data and information gaps by partnering with business stakeholders to identify, collect, validate, and enrich missing data attributes. ERP & Platform Support * Support ERP transformation and enhancement initiatives (e.g., JDE to SAP S/4HANA migration) by ensuring data readiness, validation, and alignment with enterprise standards. * Coordinate team involvement in ERP data migration, testing, reconciliation, and go-live activities. * Align master data and reporting structures with ERP and Fabric platform evolution.
