Its role is to provide Executive Management and operational leaders with clear, reliable and forward-looking financial insights,
while supporting budgeting, forecasting, monthly reporting, quarterly closings, cost control, consolidation and continuous
improvement of Finance processes and tools.
As FP&A Analyst – Expenses Controlling & Consolidation, you report directly to the FP&A Director and work closely with Accounting,
Cash, Group Finance, operational leaders, VPs, Chiefs and budget owners across Wakam.
This is a senior individual contributor role with strong visibility and direct impact on how Wakam monitors, explains and
optimises its cost base across the French perimeter.
The mission of the FP&A Analyst – Expenses Controlling & Consolidation is to deliver accurate, insightful and actionable financial
analysis to support Executive Management and business leaders in their decision-making.
The role owns end-to-end expenses controlling across Wakam’s French entities, covering consolidation of the French perimeter,
expense analysis by nature, department and destination, cost allocation, intercompany rebilling, budgeting, forecasting and
business partnering with budget owners.
This position is key to ensuring robust financial planning, reliable reporting and disciplined cost management across the

Your Mission As a Senior FP&A & Data Analyst, you will join Mercell's Group FP&A team and report to the Director of FP&A. You will play a central role in shaping how Finance supports decision-making across a leading European SaaS business. This is a hybrid role that combines commercial FP&A, business partnering and modern data analytics. You will help drive forecasting, budgeting and strategic planning while leveraging data, automation and AI to improve how Finance operates and delivers insight to the business. Working closely with stakeholders across Sales, Customer Success, Product, Operations and Finance, you will translate operational drivers into financial outcomes, build scalable reporting and planning solutions, and help transform data into actionable commercial insights. Core Responsibilities • Own and continuously develop forecasting, budgeting and long-range planning models across ARR, revenue, billing, cash flow and operating expenses, ensuring robust decision support for executive management. • Design and develop scalable reporting solutions, dashboards and data models using BI and other analytical tools to improve transparency, support decision-making and reduce manual work. • Drive automation and digitalisation of Finance processes by leveraging modern analytics, AI-powered tools and workflow automation to improve efficiency, forecast accuracy and data quality. • Act as a bridge between Finance, Operations and Data teams, helping to improve data governance, process alignment and the quality of business-critical information. • Identify opportunities to simplify and modernise planning and reporting processes through technologies such as Power Automate, AI agents and other emerging tools. • Prepare insightful materials for Executive Leadership Team, Board and investor reporting, transforming complex financial and operational data into clear recommendations. • Continuously challenge existing processes, tools and ways of working, driving a culture of data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement across the Finance function. Required Qualifications • Strong hands-on experience (ideally 3+ years) in FP&A, business controlling or commercial finance within a SaaS or subscription-based business • Master's degree (or equivalent) in Finance, Economics, Business, Engineering, Data Analytics or another quantitative discipline. • Proven experience building financial models and translating business drivers into forecasting and planning models. • Experience working with modern analytics and reporting platforms to deliver scalable business insight. • Comfortable working with large and complex datasets and partnering with data or engineering teams. • Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to explain complex analyses to non-finance stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications • Curious and technology-oriented with a passion for automation, AI and continuous improvement. • Experience with one or more modern analytics and automation technologies such as Tableau Power BI, SQL, Python, Power Automate, Microsoft Fabric or similar platforms is an advantage. • Structured, proactive and comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment. • Experience working in a PE-backed or high-growth technology company is an advantage. Senior FP&A Analyst (India) About The Role The Senior FP&A Analyst is a key partner to Finance leadership and the wider business, driving data-driven decision making through planning, forecasting, and analysis. This role owns core FP&A processes, including budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, and variance analysis, and builds the financial models and insights that shape strategic and operational decisions across Showpad. What You’ll Do * Develop and monitor key financial and business performance metrics (ie. ARR, bookings, EBITDA margin, and operating expenses). * Perform monthly and quarterly variance analysis (actuals vs. budget and forecast), explaining key drivers and trends to Finance leadership and business partners. * Build and maintain financial models for revenue, headcount, and operating expenses to support budgeting, scenario planning, and forecasting. * Manage the planning, forecasting and reporting processes across Showpad, both long-term and short-term, including but not limited to Quarterly Forecasts and the Annual Operating Plan. * Ensure the accuracy and completeness of company financial data, and contribute to identifying ways to remediate inconsistencies and streamline processes. * Identify actionable insights, suggest recommendations and influence the direction of the business by effectively communicating findings to cross-functional groups. * Build relationships with other departments and work together to establish best practices, proactively identify opportunities and streamline current processes & tools. What You Bring * A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; a professional qualification (CFA, CPA, MBA) is a plus. * A mastery of Excel and g-sheets; must possess the ability to produce dynamic models and perform sensitivity analyses. * 3-5 years of experience in Corporate FP&A or a closely related finance function, ideally at a SaaS or technology company. * Experience with reporting, budget process, and complex financial modeling. * Organized and detail-oriented; ability to work in situations with changing priorities and multiple simultaneous assignments. * Solid grounding in accounting principles (Ind AS, IFRS, or US GAAP). * Familiarity with SaaS business model and revenue drivers. DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES: * Analyze monthly P&L financial results and prepare executive-level variance analysis identifying key business drivers, risks, and opportunities. * Approve scope and project setup to ensure proper alignment with client contractual agreements * Run revenue recognition for select business units and calculate monthly rebates for specific clients * Develop and maintain complex financial models supporting strategic planning, revenue forecasting, * profitability analysis, and scenario planning. * Calculates monthly commissions owed to sales reps * Partner with department leaders to develop budgets, monitor spending, and provide financial * guidance to support business objectives. * Assist the annual budgeting process and quarterly forecasting cycles across assigned business * units. * Prepare recurring executive reporting packages, dashboards, and presentations for senior leadership * and Board-level discussions. * Monitor financial performance metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs), providing actionable * recommendations to improve business results. * Support month-end close through analysis of revenue, operating expenses, accruals, and forecast * updates. * Prepares client and project level reconciliations and reviews billable/non-billable expenses * Partner with Accounting to ensure financial reporting accuracy and consistency between actual * results and forecasts. * Assist with mergers, acquisitions, due diligence, audits, integration activities, and other strategic * corporate initiatives. * Identify process improvement opportunities that enhance forecasting accuracy, reporting efficiency * & automation, and financial transparency. * Manages PowerBi dashboard including quarterly budget uploads and data validation * Assist with special projects and ad hoc financial analysis as requested.
