Given our global expansion, the Business Development Manager role is strategically important to place us as the market leader in
the industry. As we start to amass a large client base which needs an extra touch of care and nurture, this will give you an
opportunity to build relationships with C-Level execs and SME business owners in the financial and technology sectors.

Your Responsibilities Responsibilities in this job will vary however, they will be mostly centred around: * Email marketing: Manage copywriting, graphics, strategy and optimisation for our newsletter, product updates and exclusive promotions. * Social media growth management: Manage and grow our LinkedIn - our largest channel to interact with our audience - and frequently test new content formats. We would also like you to help us leverage our content on YouTube and launch our Twitter. * Graphic design: You will be responsible for our visual identity across all of our marketing channels. We will make sure you’re equipped to do this in the best way possible. * Website: Design, SEO activities, UX optimisation. Work with us on improving and launching new formats that reflect our brand identity. * Analytics: To continuously measure and improve our performance metrics across channels. You will be working towards challenging targets and KPIs. * Paid advertising and PPC campaign management. * Synergy: To collaborate with the other departments to identify content worth sharing with our audience, and also to inform them of our brands’ progress. What we expect from you Please note that this job does not require any specific previous work experience as training is provided and we are looking to incorporate candidates across different levels of experience. However, we do require you to have a UK work permit. We also expect candidates to have obtained a bachelors or masters degree, or to be working towards obtaining university qualification. ABOUT SUMUP SumUp's New Markets field sales team is the engine behind our expansion into Eastern Europe and the Nordics — a region with real momentum and significant room to grow. Right now, our Territory Managers across markets including Austria, Croatia, Bulgaria, Belgium, Romania, Finland, and Denmark need a strong regional leader to unite them, sharpen their performance, and unlock the next phase of scale. As Regional Sales Manager, you'll manage up to 10 Territory Managers, each leading their own network of self-employed field sales consultants. This isn't a desk role — you'll be out in the field alongside your team roughly two weeks a month, setting the standard for what great looks like and building a sales culture that attracts, retains, and develops top talent. The opportunity here is real: this role directly enables SumUp to open new markets, reduce leadership bandwidth constraints, and build a field sales organisation that can grow sustainably. If you're a senior sales leader who thrives on complexity, autonomy, and tangible impact, this is the role for you. Our Strategic Account Executives target and close new business with Datadog’s largest, most strategic customers and prospects. In this role you’ll be focused on uncovering the pain points organizations face as they operate in or migrate to a cloud environment at scale as well as delivering the appropriate Datadog solution. What You’ll Do: * Prospect into large Fortune 1000 companies while running an efficient sales process * Maintain, build and own specific relationship maps for your territory including existing relationships and aspirational contacts * Develop a deep comprehension of customer's business * Negotiate favorable pricing and business terms with large commercial enterprises by selling value and ROI * Handle existing customer expectations while expanding reach and depth into assigned territory * Demonstrate resourcefulness when faced with challenges that defy easy solution * Have intuitive sense of necessary steps to close business and gain customer validation * Identify robust set of business drivers behind all opportunities * Ensure high forecasting accuracy and consistency Who You Are: * Someone with 5+ years closing experience (mix of field selling within mid-market and enterprise) * Driven and have met/exceeded direct sales goals of 1M+ and operated with an average deal size of $100k+ * Able to demonstrate methodology to prospect and build pipeline on your own * Experienced in working for an innovative tech company (SaaS, IT infrastructure or similar preferred) * Experienced in selling into large Fortune 1000 companies with the ability to win new logos * Role requires regular travel to client sites, within your area and other regions, using various modes of transportation (car, train, air), depending on business needs.
