We are seeking a curious, experienced, and thoughtful Tech Lead to join our Customer Journey team, one of our core product teams responsible for the full user experience. In this role, you will take the lead on the technical side of our e-commerce platform while continuing to write code and collaborate closely with your teammates. You are a developer who is just as comfortable writing code as you are leading others. You thrive in a role that is 50% technical leadership and 50% coding, and you are ready to support your teammates, share your knowledge, and drive continuous improvement across engineering, quality assurance, and team practices. This role does not include any personnel management responsibilities. What your days might look like This role combines equal parts programming and technical leadership, working in a dedicated team consisting of a Product Owner and four full-stack developers. What you’ll do: Build and improve the parts of our platform that customers use every day — including our storefront, sticker editors, content management integrations, and shopping flow. Lead architectural discussions and guide long-term technical decisions. Write clean, scalable, and maintainable code that supports a smooth customer experience. Comfortable working across the stack, including Node.js, and familiar with building and maintaining custom packages and component libraries. You know that bit where every company says they’re “changing the world”? Yeah, it can feel a little forced. But we like to think our story actually has some realness to it. Our story begins with Shadi Bitar and Ninos Malki, who came to Sweden from Syria as kids and discovered that books could be a bridge - helping them learn the language, understand the culture, and explore new worlds. A thought emerged, what if everyone could have that? And just like that, Nextory was born - your all-access pass to read, listen, and discover new perspectives without limits. And now, we're on a quest to find a Design Engineer. Let us tell you about the role 📖 As a Design Engineer at Nextory, you’ll be working at the intersection of design and engineering, you’ll help turn ideas into fast, intuitive, and genuinely enjoyable experiences. Together with our six product designers, product managers, and engineers, you’ll take ideas from rough concepts to polished features in production. Frontend development is your craft, and you care deeply about building high-quality user interfaces with thoughtful interactions, great performance, and attention to detail. You’ll have ownership throughout the entire journey, from the first sketch to the final release, caring just as much about the technical implementation as the user experience. Your story so far 👀 You thrive at the intersection of design and code. You move fast without losing your eye for detail, and you're equally energized by building tools other people use and great experiences for the users. We also believe that you have: Strong fundamentals in modern frontend development - Vue, React or similar architecture Experience building and extending design systems and component libraries in code, including working with Figma's developer tooling (Code Connect, Dev Mode, variables, component properties) to keep design and code in sync. A track record of building internal tools, prototypes, and design-to-code infrastructure used by people across Nextory Skillset to take promising prototypes from rough exploration to polished, production-quality features, owning both the technical implementation and the end result. Good judgment on when to build for speed (a throwaway prototype) versus when to build for scale (a reusable component) A bonus if you also have experience and a keen interest in motion design. The Nextory way of working 🏠 At Nextory, we believe a strong and inclusive culture is key to our success and that culture flourishes when we meet and collaborate in person as much as possible. That’s why we spend the majority of the working time at our beautiful office! We are based in Stockholm, Sweden, with offices in Paris and Bangalore. Our hybrid work policy includes four days in the office and Wednesdays as a work-from-home day. Your next story starts here 💫 We look forward to your application 💫. Applications are reviewed continuously, but please note that due to summer vacations, our response times may be a little longer than usual. If you have any questions about the role, please contact erika.thorslund@nextory.com. Please note that we do not offer relocation and that a six-month probationary period applies.

Key areas of focus include: * Low-latency data pipelines that ingest and process live sports tracking data, with strict latency requirements for time-critical outputs delivered to coaches and analysts in near real-time. * Event-driven processing using Kafka for streaming data and control messages between on-site devices and cloud services, handling both fast-path live outputs and asynchronous post-processing workflows via SQS and AWS Batch. * Cloud infrastructure on AWS, including Greengrass for edge-to-cloud orchestration, S3 for video and data storage, and Lambda for lightweight processing tasks. * Data transformation and aggregation layers that normalise tracking outputs, store them in a data lake, and make them available to downstream consumers via clean API contracts. * REST and WebSocket APIs that serve both a live data product for immediate consumption and an insights portal for historical analysis and performance comparison. * Observability and reliability - instrumentation, logging, and tracing are built in from the start, not bolted on. The platform needs to run 24/7 without on-site support. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES * Design and build backend services and APIs (REST/WebSocket) supporting data ingestion, transformation, and delivery to frontend and downstream consumers, with particular attention to latency and throughput given real-time processing requirements. * Own data storage and pipeline architecture, including integration with streaming/event infrastructure. * Implement authentication and authorisation in line with the team's chosen cloud identity and access management approach. * Provide technical direction and review for frontend development (React/TypeScript), working closely with frontend engineers to align on approach, component contracts, and data shapes - this is a collaboration and oversight function rather than day-to-day frontend delivery. * Collaborate closely with computer vision/data science engineers to define and consume data contracts. * Participate in technical decision-making for a product in active development, including architecture choices with long-term implications for scale, latency, and maintainability. * Contribute to technical leadership of the wider engineering team, given the seniority of this role. SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE * Strong backend engineering background with production experience in Java (required). * Demonstrated experience building low-latency, high-throughput systems - this is a core requirement, not a nice-to-have. * Working knowledge of a modern frontend framework such as React/TypeScript, sufficient to review and direct frontend work rather than deliver it independently. * Experience with cloud infrastructure and event-driven architectures (e.g. Kafka or equivalent streaming technology). * Experience designing and evolving API contracts (OpenAPI or similar) in a fast-moving, still-evolving product environment. * Familiarity with modern cloud identity and access management approaches (e.g. AWS Cognito or equivalent) is a plus. * Strong communication skills - able to work directly with product and cross-functional stakeholders, and to mentor or direct engineers outside their own core discipline. * Comfortable with ambiguity: this is a build-phase product with evolving scope and infrastructure decisions still being finalised. BENEFITS AND PERKS * 25 days annual leave (excluding bank holidays) * Enhanced pension scheme with 5% matching * Hybrid working model * Complimentary Unmind wellbeing app * Onsite gym (Basingstoke) * Access to sporting events and tickets * Sony Group Company discounts EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER Hawk-Eye is committed to fostering an inclusive and diverse workplace. We ensure all employees are treated fairly, regardless of gender, marital status, race, nationality, religion, age, disability, or union membership. We value diversity and strive to create an environment where everyone can reach their full potential. APPLY TODAY If you are passionate about building high-performance backend systems and want to work on real-time data products at scale, we would love to hear from you.

Hopefully, we’ll learn a lot from each other and have plenty of fun as we break new ground at Hemnet. As a team, we get things done; we know when and where value can be added, and we’re clear on our priorities. Why did I decide to join Hemnet? I was strongly drawn to the culture and atmosphere – a wonderful combination of kindness, inclusiveness, and helpfulness, paired with high ambitions and a strong drive forward. My impression is that the people and the workplace together create the perfect foundation for you to do the best work of your career. A Note on Inclusion 💚 At Hemnet, we believe that diversity in gender, sexual orientation, ability, neurodiversity, cultural background and life experience makes us stronger. We welcome applicants of all identities and backgrounds. If you meet many but not all of the requirements, we encourage you to apply. We value curiosity, a strong sense of purpose and the motivation to learn and grow, alongside your skills and experiences. A Hybrid Way of Working 🚲 Our vibrant office in central Stockholm is the hub of our collaboration and culture, providing a lively space that fosters team spirit. We come together in the office three days a week, with two flexible remote days. To be part of our team, it’s essential to be based in or near Stockholm. Vision and Mission For decades, the line between technology and entertainment has blurred, but in the world of live gaming, true innovation has often remained on the surface. Avanti exists to change that by merging advanced game development with real-time live streaming. We aren't just building games; we are creating a new category of interactive experiences where technical complexity meets human presence. Our goal is to challenge the industry's status quo by using the power of Unreal Engine 5 and MetaHuman technology to deliver a level of quality previously thought impossible in web-based environments. We believe in a future where digital environments are as responsive and believable as the physical world, and where every technical decision is aimed at deepening user engagement. To ensure our future growth and maintain the highest level of delivery as our portfolio expands, we are now looking for a Product Designer who wants to bridge the gap between product logic and market communication. The Opportunity As a Product Designer at Avanti, you step into a role that is fundamental to our scalability. You will have the unique opportunity to work across the entire spectrum of the product—from deep UI/UX logic within our games to the visual narrative we present to the market. You will be part of a team that values technical fearlessness and creative disruption. This is more than a design role; it is an invitation to help build the creative engine of a company at the absolute technical frontier. Main Responsibilities Design and iterate on UI/UX components for live game products to enhance user-friendliness and clarity. Create high-impact marketing materials that effectively communicate product value and brand vision to a global audience. Modularize design workflows and assets to ensure scalability for a rapidly growing product portfolio. Execute A/B tests on marketing deliverables to optimize conversion and creative performance. Collaborate with technical teams to integrate interactive product features, such as in-game communication tools and emojis. Act as a "Brand Guardian" to ensure visual consistency across all product and marketing touchpoints. Maintain rigorous digital asset management and documentation to ensure organizational efficiency and easy access for all departments. Who We Are Looking For We are looking for a proactive and someone who finds joy in creating order out of chaos, whether that means establishing strict naming conventions in Figma or organizing complex asset structures in the cloud. You don't wait to be asked for the next step; you are already identifying trends and suggesting improvements as they become a necessity. Your mindset is rooted in self-organization and a deep care for the craft. You collaborate tightly across teams and understand their needs, and see how their work and yours effect eachother. As Avanti evolves quickly, you are motivated by the fact that your input directly shapes the outcome of the product and the efficiency of the entire creative department. Qualifications. Expert proficiency in Figma, Firefly and Adobe with experience building and maintaining scalable design systems. Proven track record of working with UI/UX for digital products, preferably within the iGaming or gaming sector Strong understanding of design fundamentals: typography, layout, and corporate identity. Experience in data-driven design, including the use of A/B testing to improve marketing output. Professional fluency in English, with the ability to translate complex creative concepts for various departments. Bonus points if you have Experience with motion graphics or video production, game animation with Spine or Rive. WHO WE ARE Sapien is rethinking how finance teams operate in the age of AI. We’re building toward an autonomous CFO—systems that run company financials end-to-end. Our platform analyzes complex financial data in real time to increase decision cadence, prevent costly mistakes, and surface value. Sapien has caught multi-million-dollar errors, saved thousands of jobs, and returned significant dollars to customers’ bottom lines. We partner with traditional businesses—manufacturing, healthcare, restaurants, and large enterprises—to deeply understand and automate their financial workflows. We’re HQ’d by Madison Square Park in NYC and backed by General Catalyst, Neo, and top operators from Google, OpenAI, Microsoft, Ramp, and Stripe (over $9M raised). THE ROLE You'll design and build the interfaces that make AI agents usable for finance teams. This means creating new interaction patterns for how humans work with autonomous systems, building the design systems that scale across our platform, and obsessing over the details that make complex workflows feel simple. This is a design-focused frontend role where craft and user experience matter deeply. You'll own the visual and interaction design of features while implementing them in production. WHAT YOU'LL DO * Design and build interfaces that make agent operations transparent and controllable. Create new interaction patterns for real-time AI workflows, verification systems, and human-in-the-loop feedback that don't exist yet. * Prototype and iterate rapidly on new interface concepts. Work directly with customers to test designs, watch how they interact with features, and refine based on real usage. * Design information hierarchies that surface the right data at the right time. Help users understand complex financial operations, agent reasoning, and data relationships without overwhelming them. * Establish design standards and documentation that help the team ship consistent, high-quality interfaces as we scale. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR * Product thinking about user experience. You've designed features, tested them with users, and iterated based on how people actually use them. * Experience building or contributing to design systems. You understand component architecture, tokens, consistency, and how design scales across a product. * Ability to balance beauty with function. You care about aesthetics but know when to prioritize usability, performance, and shipping. * Frontend development experience with React and TypeScript. You can implement your designs in production-quality code, not just hand off mockup * CS degree or equivalent experience. We care most about what you've built. HOW YOU WORK (VALUES WE CARE ABOUT) * Ownership: You see designs through to production. You don't stop at mockups. You implement them, refine interactions based on how they feel in the browser, and fix polish issues until it's right. * Opinionated: You have strong perspectives on what makes good design and aren't afraid to advocate for user experience. You push back on features that would make the product worse and propose better solutions. * Mission-driven: You understand that interface decisions determine whether finance teams trust and adopt AI. You care about building products that transform how businesses run. * Collaborative excellence: You elevate the team's design thinking. You give thoughtful feedback on interfaces, share design patterns and techniques, and raise the bar for polish across the product.
