We are responsible for developing platform solutions within the areas of Electrical & Software Architecture and Chassis & Drivelines. We are now seeking a temporary acting Group Manager Electrical/Electronic Architecture within Electrical & Software Architecture who has the drive and passion to contribute to Volvo Buses profitability and who see that the key to success is to develop people and technologies to have products meeting future needs. This group has a central role in the department with many interfaces to the other groups within Volvo buses as well as within Volvo group, since it is responsible for development of end user functions, systems and components within the platform area. This includes ownership of the platform core ECUs and functions such as vehicle modes. This group secures that we have a stable platform for the other product teams in the department to develop their functions upon. As a Group Manager in the Electrical & Software Department at Volvo Buses you will have the responsibility to develop the group, technology and the people to support future needs contributing to Volvo Buses profitability. You will report to the Director of Electrical and Software Architecture. Within your responsibility you will define, communicate and execute strategies and targets for the group and you will be the owner of the technology area. You will be part of delivering technical solutions to concept, industrialization, maintenance as well as advanced engineering projects according to quality, delivery, cost and feature targets. About the Role As Senior Legal Counsel Environmental in the Trucks Technology and Industrial Division, you will help strengthen legal support for industrial projects and ongoing operations. You will work closely with stakeholders in technology, purchasing, and operations and be part of the TTI Legal & Volvo Group IP function and the Legal Value Chain Functions team, with legal colleagues on different sites. Your primary focus will be project- and operations-related environmental legal topics, but the role will also offer the opportunity to be involved in a broader range of legal topics such as construction and project related agreements, commercial agreements and regulatory compliance. In this role, you will collaborate closely with leaders and business colleagues across the organization, as well as with legal and IP colleagues within the function and Volvo Group. The role offers both responsibility and freedom within your area, with the opportunity to influence decisions early and support the business through the full value chain. You will work in an environment where legal matters are closely connected to business reality, and where your advice helps enable progress, safeguard the business, and support long-term success. We believe you are a qualified lawyer with 8+ years of experience from an in-house legal role or a law firm, ideally with exposure to international business environments. You are curious, confident, and motivated by working closely with the business. You understand the value of legal advice that is not only correct, but also practical, clear, and supportive of the bigger picture. To succeed in this role, you are likely to bring: Solid experience in environmental law and a willingness to grow outside this field as well. Experience in construcion legal matters is a merit.
