As a Reliability Engineer, you'll help take the plant from construction to stable operations. You'll oversee the installation and commissioning of cranes, conductor systems, monorails and other lifting equipment, ensuring safe, high-quality delivery. Once the plant is running, you'll improve the reliability and performance of our lifting equipment by developing maintenance strategies, solving technical challenges and driving continuous improvements. Specific to this role, the day-to-day tasks will include the following but as we are a growing company with very little silos between teams, other tasks might be included as well. What you’ll bring Specific to this role, we would like to see that you can tick off a fair amount of the boxes below: Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics or a related field. Hands-on experience installing, commissioning, maintaining or improving the reliability of cranes or industrial lifting equipment. Experience from heavy industry, manufacturing or industrial maintenance. Good understanding of crane systems, electrical and mechanical equipment, and relevant industry standards. Experience with reliability methods such as RCA, FMEA and preventive or predictive maintenance, as well as CMMS/EAM systems (e.g. SAP PM, Hexagon or Maximo). Good English communication skills. What you’ll do Right now, we are looking for a Maintenance Lead for our Green Iron Maintenance team. In this role you will report to our Maintenance Manager. The Maintenance Lead oversees maintenance activities within the assigned area, ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of equipment and facilities. The role leads maintenance technicians and contractors, coordinates preventive and corrective maintenance, and works closely with operations to maximise equipment reliability, minimise downtime, and support the implementation of Green Iron's maintenance standards and ways of working while driving continuous improvement. Gemkom Engineering and Machinery Filial is a newly established branch of the Turkish company Gemkom. It is a leading engineering and manufacturing company that operates in a number of areas and in various ways within the steel industry. We are participating in a project where Stegra AB establishes a steel mill in Norra Svartbyn in Boden where steel will be produced through an almost fossil-free process using hydrogen gas. Our mission is, among other things, to install machines used in steel production and includes work in mechanics, electronics and plumbing. We are seeking diligent Maintenance Technicians to join our team for the preservation and protection of mechanical equipment at a DRI plant. This role focuses on ensuring that machinery, currently stored or installed in open-air environments without HVAC systems, remains in optimal condition through rigorous preservation protocols. The work tasks may include but are not limited to: Job Description Environmental Protection: Implement measures to protect exposed machinery and equipment from adverse weather conditions and humidity. Corrosion Control: Apply VCI (Volatile Corrosion Inhibitor) treatments and other surface protection methods to machined parts and sensitive surfaces. Mechanical Maintenance: Perform routine greasing of bearings and execute periodic shaft rotations (turning) to prevent equipment degradation. Climate Management: Monitor and implement heating solutions for specific machinery components as required by technical specifications. Inventory & Documentation: Keep accurate records of all preservation activities and periodic maintenance cycles.
