Job description: Let's introduce ourselves At the department of Diagnostic Base Technology, We Secure Harmonized Base Technology Solutions for the complete vehicle and act as Competence Centre for Diagnostics to secure deliveries for our Plants, Aftermarket and Product compliance. We have E2E responsibility for the Base Tech product system areas, including in-vehicle wired communication, diagnostics, and software download (SWDL). Our mission is to ensure the quality of critical attributes such as fault isolation and fault management at the vehicle level, while safeguarding the customer experience for over-the-air (OTA) updates. In addition, we work on data collection as software components (SWC) within IHU, DHU, and UXC.We deliver Product Capabilities (PCs) for Core Systems in the areas of diagnostics, SWDL, measurement/logging, and communication, along with comprehensive documentation. What you'll do A critical part in automotive engineering is to have a deep technical understanding of the system, identify possible failure modes, design and implement monitoring mechanisms, and set strategies for mitigations if failures occur. It is vital to design for availability, robustness, diagnostics and maintenance for all stages of the product lifecycle from innovation, engineering, industrialization, manufacturing and aftermarket.In this assignment, you will be part of the team responsible for the diagnostic design of the core system. Rollen passar dig som trivs nära hårdvaran och som vill bidra till både förvaltning och kontrollerad modernisering av en befintlig plattform. Du kommer att ingå i ett mindre team som arbetar med ett integrerat system där hårdvara, embedded mjukvara och användargränssnitt samverkar. Arbetet innebär både löpande utveckling och ett långsiktigt teknikskifte mot en modernare plattform. I början ligger fokus på att sätta sig in i arkitektur, systemlogik och tekniska komponenter. På sikt får du ta större ansvar för olika delar av plattformen och bidra till utveckling, struktur och kontinuitet. Exempel på arbetsuppgifter: Utveckling och underhåll av embedded mjukvara i C/C++ Hårdvarunära programmering (drivrutiner, IO, interrupts, timing) Arbete i realtidspräglade miljöer med höga krav på stabilitet Vidareutveckling av systemets användargränssnitt Integration mot externa enheter och system Medverkan i design- och arkitekturfrågor Dokumentation och kunskapsöverföring Deltagande i ett kommande teknikskifte mot en Linux‑baserad plattform För att du ska passa in i rollen bör du ha Erfarenhet av embeddedutveckling i C/C++ Erfarenhet av hårdvarunära utveckling Förståelse för system där stabilitet och determinism är centralt Intresse för produkter med lång livslängd och tydlig teknisk struktur Meriterande Erfarenhet av realtidsmiljöer Erfarenhet av Linux för embedded system, Yocto eller motsvarande Erfarenhet av UI‑utveckling för embedded devices Kunskap om säkerhet, certifikat eller kryptering Erfarenhet av migreringsprojekt mellan olika plattformar Dessutom ska du gilla stabilitet, långsiktighet och tekniskt djupa system.
