Job description and responsibilities We are expanding our Semiconductor Devices department and looking for a Cleanroom Process Technician to take ownership of the well-defined microfabrication process steps that bring our transistors to life. As our process technician, you will master these steps and run them consistently and with care, making you a central part of how our devices are actually made. You will spend much of your time in a modern cleanroom, operating advanced fabrication equipment according to established recipes, conducting routine measurements and inspections on wafers, and clearly documenting your findings for the engineering team. The role is practical and detail-oriented, offering opportunities to expand your skills across various tools and processes over time. What you'll do You will support the integration and commissioning of services and infrastructure for the CMS Tracker construction at CERN, with a focus on the preparation and validation of services, as well as the reception testing of components and detector assemblies. The role also includes the setup and operation of test electronics for the commissioning of detector services and the functional testing of detector components and assemblies. Your responsibilities Prepare and support the installation and commissioning of services and infrastructure for large detector assemblies (e.g. cables, racks and test setups). Set up and operate test electronics and commissioning setups (e.g. interlocks, sensor interfaces and thermal test configurations). Perform reception testing of detector substructures and components, including power distribution hardware delivered to CERN. Validate integrated electrical services (power, signal and grounding interfaces) installed on detector assemblies and troubleshoot issues during construction. About the role: As ESS gets closer to its steady-state operations phase, we're looking for an Electronics Technician to join our Radio Frequency (RF) Group. The RF Group is part of the Accelerator division at ESS, and is responsible for defining, designing, installing, commissioning and maintaining the complex systems and amplifiers required for the operation of our particle accelerator. We are looking for a technician to assist with testing, operation and maintenance of high-powered amplifiers, power supplies and electronics. You will be working closely with, and assisting other members of, the RF group - as well as having your own short- and longer-term assignments. While much of the work is of an electronics and RF nature, we’re looking for a versatile technician who wants to learn new skills to take on a variety of tasks. Day-to-day, you will: Assist with electrical and mechanical installation of the RF systems including rack mounted components, cabling and assembly. Your future team You will be a part of a diverse team of Test Engineers and Design for Production Engineers cooperating to bring Axis products to market. The role offers a broad range of creative interfaces and an opportunity to cooperate with and learn from them i.e., Mechanics, Electronics, Production, Software, Supply Chain and manufacturing partners. What will you do here as a Design for Production Engineer? As a Design for Production Engineer, you will ensure that our latest innovations are suitable for high volume production by playing a key role in the development of both assembly-friendly products and efficient production processes. Producing quality security products that our customers can depend on ensures that Axis continues to fulfill our promises of safer and smarter communities across the globe. Our work is largely project based. Each product follows a five-phase development process that typically runs from one to two years. Within each project, you will: Initiate workshops and discussions centered around `design for assembly` Define the product's assembly process and production process with one of our manufacturing partners (located in North America, Asia, or Europe) Set design requirements for complex assembly and test fixtures. Verify these fixtures, and secure their timely delivery to one of our manufacturing partners Visit the product's manufacturing site during at least one pre-production build to verify the production process (up to 30 days of travel per year is expected) This role depends heavily on effective collaboration and communication within cross-functional teams. About the assignment: The consultant will be responsible for the design, development, and release of cable harness routing solutions within vehicle development projects. The role includes ensuring that routing designs fulfill electrical, mechanical, manufacturing, and service requirements while maintaining high quality throughout the product development process. Responsibilities: • Design and develop cable harness routing in CAD according to Scania design standards and technical requirements. • Create and maintain 3D routing models and associated design documentation. • Optimize harness routing with respect to packaging, robustness, manufacturability, serviceability, and cost. • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders including electrical architects, component owners, manufacturing engineering, purchasing, and suppliers. • Participate in design reviews and contribute with technical solutions during concept and detailed design phases. • Perform tolerance analyses and evaluate installation feasibility. • Support prototype builds, verification activities, and issue resolution during development and industrialization. • Manage engineering changes and ensure accurate product documentation. • Contribute to continuous improvements of design methods, standards, and best practices. Education (Must Have/Nice To Have): • Must have: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or equivalent experience. Experience, Must Have: • Experience in cable harness routing or mechanical installation design. • Experience working with 3D CAD systems (preferably CATIA V5 or CATIA 3DEXPERIENCE). • Experience working in cross-functional product development teams. • Understanding of Design for Manufacturing (DfM) and Design for Assembly (DfA). Experience, Nice To Have: • Experience from commercial vehicles or automotive industry. • Experience with electrical distribution systems and cable harness architecture. • Knowledge of PLM systems (ENOVIA or similar). • Experience working with prototype builds and production support. • Familiarity with Scania product development processes. We are looking for an Electrical Designer who wants to work close to technology, production, and projects in a hands‑on engineering role. In this position, you will design electrical solutions for cooling systems, ranging from automation cabinets and motor control centers to junction boxes and supporting systems. You will work in close collaboration with project engineers, production, suppliers, and service teams, contributing across project execution, R&D activities, and after‑sales support. As our production is based in Landskrona, the role is primarily on‑site, with some flexibility for remote work. How you’ll make an impact Design electrical solutions in accordance with customer specifications, internal standards, and applicable regulations. Develop electrical designs for automation cabinets, control panels, MCCs, and junction boxes for cooling systems. Select components and solutions for low‑voltage systems (typical voltages: 208/400/480/690 VAC and 24–220 VDC). Create and maintain technical documentation such as schematics, functional descriptions, work instructions, and quality records. Create and manage articles and Bills of Material (BOM) in SAP. Support testing activities, factory acceptance tests (FAT), and supplier evaluations. Provide technical support during commissioning (SAT) and contribute to after‑sales troubleshooting and improvements. Your background Post‑secondary technical education in electrical engineering or equivalent practical experience. Several years of experience in electrical design within machine manufacturing, process industry, water treatment, or similar project‑based environments. Proven experience delivering electrical designs from concept through production, testing, and commissioning. Strong proficiency in electrical CAD tools such as Elprocad or similar systems. Good understanding of low‑voltage systems, redundancy concepts, and industrial electrical design principles. Familiarity with relevant standards such as IEC 61439 and IEC 61000‑6‑2 / IEC 61000‑6‑4. A structured, communicative, and collaborative working style, with the ability to take responsibility for your own learning. Fluency in technical English, both written and spoken; Swedish language skills are considered a strong advantage. Meriting experience Experience with PLC programming or automation systems.
