About the role: As a Senior Back End Engineer, you will architect robust backend services for tasks like database scaling, synchronisation across devices, and integration with other services (e.g., calendars); and optimise the performance of critical components. You will contribute to the team's growth by mentoring newcomers, conducting code reviews, and fostering a culture of knowledge sharing. What you’ll do: * Build distributed, scalable, and fault-tolerant systems in the cloud using Golang. * Develop tools for running and monitoring the system and ensure reliable operations at optimal performance. * Work closely with the product manager and client development teams to define architecture, protocols, and requirements for new functionalities. * Collaborate with the team and contribute to the overall success of the project About you: * Strong background in backend development, including high proficiency in Golang * Experience with distributed systems and high-load services * Knowledge of relational database systems and key-value stores * Basic knowledge of Kubernetes * Experience with cloud platforms like AWS or GCP * You demonstrate a deep passion for the products you contribute to * You're great at thinking ahead, foreseeing how your work shapes the user experience  * You know how to deliver product quality in optimal development time * You have a keen eye for both zooming in on details and seeing the big picture * You are highly flexible and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and in a team Would be a plus: * Knowledge of data structures and algorithms (DSA) * DevOps skills  * Familiarity with NoSQL * Experience in front-end development using modern Javascript frameworks * Contributions to the open-source community * Experience with scripting languages like Python, Ruby, Shell What you will get at Readdle: * Customer-centric culture. The Mobile team’s mission is to enable teams to work together effortlessly - even when they are away from their desktops. We partner closely with Product Designers, PMs, and other product engineering teams to continuously improve the Asana experience for our customers on-the-go. We work hard to maintain a codebase and a culture that is a joy to work in by combining tried and true mobile best practices with many of the innovative opportunities that our in-house frameworks provide. Software Engineers at Asana are quickly trusted to own major parts of both the codebase and our processes through the Areas of Responsibility system. We expect you to thrive in defining and solving problems, with mutual support from your peers. This role is based in our Warsaw office with an office-centric hybrid schedule. The standard in-office days are Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Most Asanas have the option to work from home on Wednesdays. What you’ll achieve * Build and ship high-quality features for our global Android user base in collaboration with Product and Design partners. * Contribute to and help grow Asana's Android community by sharing knowledge and best practices across teams. * Make improvements, and advocate for code quality, test coverage, addressing technical debt, and user experience. * Craft well-documented, well-structured, and well-tested code. * Help others on the team improve by providing thoughtful feedback in code/design reviews, and mentoring others in areas you are knowledgeable in. * Enable Asana’s Mobile teams to leverage the latest practices, tooling and SDKs. * Contribute to Asana-wide cross-platform feature launches. * Own and contribute to AoRs (Areas of Responsibility).  About you * 3+ years of experience developing, releasing, and maintaining high-quality Android applications. Ideally using Kotlin. * Aware of the latest developments in the Android ecosystem. * Committed to leave code better than you found it. * Passion for crafting a delightful end-user experience. * Demonstrated strength as a communicator and collaborator. * Good judgment for balancing scrappiness and long-term code maintainability. What we’ll offer For this role, the estimated base salary range is between 26,000 PLN - 28,900 PLN (gross monthly). The actual base salary will vary based on various factors, including market and individual qualifications objectively assessed during the interview process. The listed range above is a guideline, and the base salary range for this role may be modified. In addition to base salary, your compensation package may include additional components such as equity, sales incentive pay (for most sales roles), and benefits.
