Join the Mission At Kaisa, we are transforming life’s most important purchases—like buying a car or a home—into exceptional customer journeys. We believe the future of engagement is driven by AI, but AI is only as powerful as the data it learns from. We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to lead the charge in building the scalable, high-velocity infrastructure that turns millions of interactions into the fuel for our conversational intelligence products. The Role This is a pivotal position where data infrastructure meets cutting-edge product strategy. As a Senior Data Engineer, you will take full ownership of our data platform, leading the design of pipelines that don’t just power dashboards, but serve as the foundation for autonomous agents and real-time automation. You will be a high-impact architect, mentor, and strategist. What You’ll Do Architect Scalable Pipelines: Design and build robust ETL/ELT pipelines using Python and AWS services to handle high-velocity data. Evolve Data Infrastructure: Drive the evolution of our data architecture, ensuring it scales from today’s needs to the future demands of AI/ML. Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work closely with Engineering, Product and Business teams to translate high-level strategy into technical roadmaps. Ensure Data Excellence: Define and drive data quality frameworks, automated testing, and validation processes to ensure our "fuel" is always high-grade. Lead Governance & Security: Implement best practices for data modeling, warehousing, and privacy regulations (GDPR) to safeguard sensitive information. Mentor and Influence: Shape team best practices and mentor other engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence. Who You Are An Established Engineer: You have solid experience building scalable data systems and a deep understanding of data warehousing and governance. Technically Proficient: Hands-on expertise with Spark, Python and AWS (EMR, Redshift, Glue). A "Problem Solver": You enjoy turning messy, raw data into clean, actionable systems and have experience with streaming technologies (Kafka, Kinesis). A Natural Leader: You are confident in technical conversations, able to share context across tech and non-tech audiences, and driven to own your projects. Bonus points if you have: Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Kubernetes). A background in data-driven product experimentation or analytics. Experience contributing directly to organizational data strategy. Where You’ll Be Our roots are in Sweden, but our reach is international.
