The Opportunity
The Manager serves as a workstream leader within Alpha Alternatives’ Data Strategy segment, driving delivery across complex
private markets data transformation initiatives. Positioned within the Front & Middle Office team, the Manager oversees structured
components of enterprise programs spanning front-, middle-, and back-office workflows, with deep involvement across data domains
such as Client, Fund, Investment, Deal, Portfolio Company, Exposure, Cashflows, Valuations, and IR-related datasets. Managers
translate business strategy into domain structures, operating model components, governance frameworks, and conceptual
architectural implications. They coordinate across business stakeholders, data owners, and technical teams to ensure cohesive,
high-quality workstream outcomes that support the broader target-state vision.

The Opportunity The Senior Manager serves as the engagement lead within Alpha Alternatives’ Data Strategy segment, accountable for delivering complex, multi-workstream private markets transformation programs. Operating within the Front & Middle Office team, the Senior Manager leads enterprise-wide initiatives spanning front-, middle-, and back-office workflows and core private markets data domains such as Client, Fund, Investment, Deal, Portfolio Company, Exposure, Performance, Cashflows, and Valuations. Senior Managers translate firm-wide business priorities into unified data strategy constructs, governance frameworks, operating models, and conceptual architecture guidance. As the primary day-to-day advisor to business and technology leadership, the Senior Manager ensures alignment across stakeholders, drives the project narrative, and delivers cohesive, executive-ready solutions that support scalable, governed, modern data capabilities Responsibilities * Serve as overall engagement lead, managing multi-workstream delivery and acting as the primary point of contact for senior client stakeholders. * Own the end-to-end engagement narrative, ensuring current state, target state, governance, operating model, and roadmap form a cohesive strategy. * Lead executive-level client interactions, including Steer Cos, workshops, and cross-functional alignment sessions. * Direct Managers and Senior Consultants on methodology, analysis, and deliverable structure, ensuring consistency and quality across workstreams. * Validate findings, synthesize enterprise-wide insights, and translate complex issues into clear, actionable recommendations. * Guide target-state operating model and roadmap development, aligning roles, governance, workflows, and business–technology architecture. * Manage risks, scope, and escalations; mentor team members; and partner with Directors and Partners on future-phase strategy. Qualifications and Skills * 9 –12+ years of experience in consulting, data strategy, private markets, asset management, or large-scale transformation initiatives. * Proven ability to lead complex, multi-workstream programs end-to-end with strong client and executive stakeholder management. * Deep expertise in enterprise data strategy, including operating models, governance, domain modeling, stewardship, and architecture alignment. * Advanced understanding of private markets operations and data flows across the full investment lifecycle and front-, middle-, and back-office functions. * Strong working knowledge of modern cloud-native data platforms, sufficient to guide business-led architectural direction. * Demonstrated success coaching and developing high-performing consulting teams while ensuring delivery quality. * Excellent executive communication, conceptual thinking, and problem-solving skills, with a product-oriented, enterprise-value mindset. This role develops deep fluency across front-, middle-, and back-office workflows and core data domains, including Client, Fund, Investment, Deal, Portfolio Company, Exposure, Performance, Cashflows, Valuations, and related IR or operational data. Senior Consultants translate business insights into structured deliverables, domain definitions, governance components, and operating model frameworks that anchor enterprise data transformation. Working closely with Managers and Senior Managers, the Senior Consultant drives high-quality, client-ready content that informs the design of scalable, governed data capabilities. Responsibilities * Build a strong understanding of private markets workflows across deal execution, portfolio monitoring, valuations, investor relations, operations, and finance, and apply that understanding to advise clients on how data enables better execution. * Own defined deliverables or major sections, such as domain definitions, business requirements, governance components, and workflow documentation, and deliver polished, client-ready outputs. * Lead stakeholder interviews and working sessions and translate input into clear, actionable insights that connect business needs to data implications. * Define domain-level requirements across Client, Fund, Investment, Deal, Portfolio Company, Exposure, Performance, Cashflows, and Valuations, including the business rules and decision-critical data elements required for consistency. * Document data ownership, stewardship expectations, and standards that improve consistency, usability, and accountability across teams. * Partner with technology and data delivery teams by translating business needs into clear, actionable requirements and ensuring alignment to scalable delivery patterns at a conceptual level. * Elevate team delivery by coaching Analysts and Consultants through structured review, feedback, and quality assurance on outputs. Qualifications and Skills * 4–6+ years of experience in consulting, private markets, asset management, business analysis, or data strategy roles. * Strong understanding of private markets workflows and decision points across investing, portfolio monitoring, valuations, investor relations, operations, and finance. * Ability to translate business problems into structured analysis and clear recommendations, with strong attention to detail and quality. * Working knowledge of data strategy fundamentals, including how data quality, definitions, and ownership impact reporting, analytics, and execution. * Strong facilitation and interviewing skills, with the ability to synthesize stakeholder input into crisp, usable insights. * Ability to communicate complex topics in clear business language and produce executive-ready narratives and materials. * Awareness of modern cloud-native data platform tools across ingestion, processing, storage, governance, and visualization, sufficient to articulate business-led implications in partnership with technical teams. * Working knowledge of core private markets tools and workflows across the investment lifecycle, enabling effective partnership with business and technology teams. A reasonable estimate of the salary range is $100,000 to $140,000, subject to change based on salary benchmarking. In addition to this salary, candidates will be eligible for a variable bonus.
YOUR MISSION We're looking for a driven and ambitious Project Manager to lead some of our most strategic and high-impact projects. In this role, you'll help clients unlock the true value of their data—supported by a team of top-tier Analytics & AI experts. As the key link between client stakeholders and our internal consultants, you'll be responsible for delivering projects on time, within scope and budget, while maintaining strong, positive relationships with everyone involved. You won’t be doing this alone: our Project Management Lead will actively coach and mentor you, sharing best practices and offering support as you evolve into an increasingly autonomous and confident project leader. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES * Take ownership of end-to-end delivery of medium to large Analytics & AI projects for enterprise clients * Oversee scope, planning, and budget, including resource allocation, cost control, and managing change requests * Establish and lead project governance, from recurring status meetings to executive steering committees * Collaborate closely with both clients and internal experts (Data Engineers, Data Scientists, Analytics Architects) to ensure clarity, alignment, and steady progress * Act as the primary point of contact for business and IT stakeholders—proactively identify risks, communicate them clearly, and keep momentum * Contribute to the development and refinement of delivery best practices within the project team * Support pre-sales activities with realistic and experience-based input on scoping, timelines, and resource needs YOUR PROFILE * You are already residing in Belgium * 3+ years of working experience in IT, data, or digital consulting * Project Management experience is a strong plus, especially in IT, data, or digital environments * You’re familiar with various project management methodologies, such as Waterfall and Agile * You have a genuine interest in data, analytics, or AI – you don’t need to code, but you understand the basics and can confidently engage with both technical and non-technical teams * You’re passionate about bringing structure, clarity & oversight to projects - managing budgets, timelines, resources & scope comes naturally to you. * You combine a structured mindset with the flexibility and pragmatism needed to adapt to changing circumstances * You have excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with a talent for aligning diverse teams around shared goals.
